Logis Hôtel de Carantec

The location of the hotel was perfect with sea views from the room. It is only small, but this keeps it friendly. The breakfasts were perfect, lots of choices of meat and cheese and eggs freshly cooked. It is quite expensive but for what you get and the service it is worth it. Lovely dining room overlooking the sea.

The bar in the hotel is linked to the restaurant, so if you just want a drink and sit in the bar, this is not really possible.

Didn't have breakfast as cost was a little high. Preferred to eat croissants that we'd bought on the lovely balcony. Superb views. Location was perfect - close to beach and town. Room very comfortable and well equipped.

Not a very good welcome on arrival. Receptionist didn't show much interest in us despite the hotel being very quiet. We weren't shown to our room which we would have expected in a hotel of this calibre. Saw very little of the staff apart from the cleaning lady who was very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful view, great location, comfy bed. Parking was an added bonus. Short walk to a pretty town for a superb meal (recommended by the hotel receptionist). Amazing staff - the receptionist stayed to wait for us as we were running late due to a long journey. Nice breakfast served by another lovely member of staff, all very friendly, perfect English spoken.

Our room was fabulous, although needs a bit of updating. However that wouldn't stop us staying again.

We were not able to get nto our room at the official check in time as somebody's else luggage and clothes were in the room ,staff were not aware of this and were surprised as we informed them, we had to wait for an hour before staff were able to deal with the issue. The hotel has a Michelin star restaurant, so despite waiting staff in the restaurant (same as in the hotel) being very friendly, it was apparent they were not experienced in their roles eg.water was poured into our glasses but spills were not cleaned up, food and drinks were served across the table

Receptionist was on a day off, we were greeted by the housekeeper who was charming and her English was excellent, and she couldn’t have been more helpful, we upgraded the room and had a lovely terrace overlooking the sea. My husband has mobility problems and the lift was from parking level so no steps to negotiate. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed but hope to return and sample it.

Location, style and view

Has long been Hotel de Carantec but only recently as a Logis so no clear sign of being a Logis and took a while to find….had to ask local residents. Arrived early evening but unable to order a meal…..luckily, found a superb restaurant nearby

The staff, location and the food at the restaurant had improved somewhat from our previous visit. Very good,

The rooms are lovely and the location. If you were being picky, the rooms are a little dated and the showers could be better, but we had a really good stay.

Excellent location overlooking the bay. Exquisite food at dinner. Good breakfast. Easy parking. Easy to find. Lift.
