Hôtel Continental

The bed felt high quality and like new with lots of padding, was amazing. The design of the room and bathroom is really beautiful and modern. Very clean. The location downtown was perfect and the views from the windows were really nice. Everything worked perfect. A regular hair dryer was a nice change from the low power wall dryers I experienced at the other hotels. Great bathroom lighting. Extra towels was a plus. Good insulation between the rooms. AC was over the top great. Staff was very friendly. Cool old fashioned like elevators.

We booked this hotel for one night, travelling from Calvi to Stockholm via Bastia. Our priority was a hotel close to the train station. We were positively surprised by the friendly staff, the standard of the hotel in general and rooms in particular. we were also given to option to add on breakfast (buffet or simple) when we checked in late in the evening, which was handy. We hae the simpler breakfast choice, but the buffet looked great and more genereous than we have encountered elsewhere in France.

Price on the hotel sign ourside was lower than the one we paid through booking.com, but not that much.

We booked this for a night as we had an early flight from the airport the next morning. The hotel is located a short walk (<5mins) from the station (as well as the airport shuttle bus). It's also not far from the old town and harbour. The room suited our needs and the staff were friendly and allowed us to store our luggage when we arrived early.

A cosy room but this was expected considering the city location and price

Hotel Continental had been recently refurbished so everything was shiny and new and very fresh looking. The staff were extremely helpful allowing us access to our room although we were a bit early, the receptionist also recommended places to go and helped us with other enquiries.

The weather was quite warm so there was no need for a doona on our bed, a sheet and light blanket would have sufficed. It was good that we could open our window though, and let in fresh air without having to rely on the AC only.

We had a wonderful time at Hotel Continental. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They even treated my husband and me to a bottle of champagne as we were celebrating our honeymoon. Such a kind surprise! Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for exploring Bastia and taking buses to the airport as well as other places in Corsica (like Saint Florent and the beaches!) We are so grateful to the staff for making our time in Bastia so wonderful!

Perfect location as we came by ferry and then left by train. The room was clean, modern and very comfortable. When we arrived early, the reception immediately offered for us to leave our bags. Very friendly staff and good English! We discovered the hotel has just been renovated and they have done a great job. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent and clean hotel in a very convenient location (close to ferry, railway, shopping streets, harbour, restaurants, supermarkets, etc.). We received a warm welcome from the friendly man at the reception desk. The little terrace on the street is also a plus when you have to wait for the rest of your family to come down.

My room was on the corner with windows on two walls. Lovely outlook onto trees on the main street. All furniture and fittings good quality and design well thought out. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Location perfect just a few minutes walk from railway station and ferry terminal. I think this is a family run hotel.

The hotel is well situated and has very helpful staff. The ferry and rail is nearby. It is within easy walking distance to the sights and has a coffee shop and bar downstairs. The bathroom is small but works well and our bed was very comfortable. It was our first stop on our first trip to Corsica and we felt very welcome!

Easy walk from ferry terminal. Friendly receptionist who allowed us to check in early. Comfortable, modern, clean room. Very handy for minibus to airport ( 5 min walk up main street,left out of hotel.) which started from just in front of prefecture. Very close to main square and easy walk to Bastia old harbour.
