Hotel Brillasol San Jose Airport

Everything! Lots of vegetation like a mini rainforest, very relaxing atmosphere. The included breakfast is very good and plentiful, good coffee ❤️ The rooms are good size, air conditioned and television with cable. They have a dinner menu that starts at 6 PM at very reasonable prices and the food is very tasty. The staff is wonderful, very friendly, helpful and professional. I liked that the location is a bit secluded but yet close enough to catch Uber to restaurants, the mall and other places. I feel it's a place where I can get away to relax and I don't even have to leave the hotel. I plan to return with my grandkids so they can enjoy the pool and the surroundings.

I enjoyed a one night stay at the hotel, before flying home, as it was near to the airport. Really nice room. Bed was comfy. On a side road - and with a nice garden. I didn't try out the pool or the spa treatments., so can't comment. I kept my eyes peeled for humming birds.... and caught a fleeting glimpse of one. I was able to book a table for a meal there in the evening - and had a nice costa rican breakfast too in the morning. Lovely staff - reception and dining area. Reasonable price shuttle to the airport mid-morning. Under the flight path - which didn't bother me, but you should take into account when booking. A few chipped tiles here and there - but nothing that really spoiled my stay.

Nothing. I'd stay again if I ever get a chance to go back.

My fifth time here, I am grateful for the consistency of excellent service and its welcoming ambiance. The Front Desk staff, Tommy, Laura, Robert, and Luis, were knowledgeable, kind, and very friendly. Amy, of housekeeping, went above & beyond when I asked to borrow an iron in "testing the iron", she actually ironed my pants! THAT is excellent customer service! I will continue to highly recommend Hotel Brilla Sol! It's a home away from home!

The overhead lights in the room stay on in a very dim way. It was slightly annoying.

Excellent service from the hotel staff. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated in a neighborhood tucked away from the busy main streets, so it’s quiet other than the planes flying overhead (that’s because it’s so conveniently located by the airport!). The breakfast was delicious and fresh. The kitchen staff also very friendly. This place is the diamond in the rough we were looking for in San Jose. Did I mention that the hotel is family owned and operated?? It is. I highly recommend this place.

I liked everything.

Loved the hotel, super cute rooms, colorful atmosphere with lots of trees and flowers. There is a beautiful grand daddy tree there that is just amazing. The staff we're all very friendly, we had some issues with the toilet running but staff was there right away to fix the problems. Vey clean and comfy rooms. Great location to, there were places close by to grab a bite or a 5 min drive to Quepos really easy to get around.

Not much I did not like but with the hoteling booked up it would of been nice to have the bar near the pool open, I saw they had that in the pics when reserving and it looked like it had not been used in ages, just would of been nice to sip something while lounging at the pool, as it was beautiful and they had great beds to relax in and tres surrounding the pool area. Not big drinkers but sure seemed like a nice thing to do while lounging in the sun at the pool. Everything was really awesome.

The property is a small cozy family owned and operated hotel. They were very friendly and helpful, one of the reception staff members made suggestions regarding excursions as I did not make advance plans. They even setup one of my excursion trips. Breakfast was available each morning and the airport was close by which is why I selected the hotel.

More breakfast variety would have been great, but I do understand that with lower guest capacity of guests comes limitations.

The hostal is located near the airport and offers a free shuttle service (actually a taxi) to the airport. The staff was friendly and helpful. I used the hotel for the last night before an early morning flight home and would recommend it for that. There is a small pool and a garden area to relax.

The hotel is more of a motel-style place to stay before or after a flight. The facilities are simple and practical - you shouldn't expect any luxury.

Nice authentic Costa Rica breakfast with some extra cereal to top it off. The fresh juice was amazing. Great shuttle, small car, to the airport, what you would expect in Costa Rica. Close to the airport, but in a back neighborhood that looks pretty sketchy. The hotel has a big garage door that opens to the hotel property and inside is really nice, but outside feels kinda scary.

The breakfast spread could have a little more variety with bread or toast. Maybe some easier fruit to go like bananas, apples and oranges. The mattresses were pretty firm, not that comfortable, but so nice and welcome after a long uncomfortable bus ride.

The proximity to the airport, complimentary breakfast and shuttle to the airport were what attracted me to Hotel Brilla Sol. What will have me returning is the excellent customer service provided by the Front Desk staff: Jafet, Jessica, and Martin! I took many photos to show my friends how exceptional this hotel is. I highly recommend Hotel Brilla Sol and definitely plan a return trip.

I actually cannot think of anything that I found objectionable. Perhaps that the frijoles were watery at dinner but the rest of the meal more than made up for this minor detail.
