The Village Inn

The staff were helpful. One incident that could have been disastrous was that as I was trying to find my key, I accidently pulled my passport out of my pocket and it fell on the floor in the hallway. I did not realize it when it happened but shortly after I returned to my room, there was a knock at the door and it was a staff member who found my passport and was returning it.

The water in the shower never got hot. At best it was tepid.

Our favourite place to stay in Elora. The new family who are running it have continued the friendly welcome and attention to detail that we loved on our first visits. Walking distance to bars and restaurants on the Grand River and a surprising variety of restaurants within a few hundred metres. Immaculately clean. Even the toiletries are high quality. Morning coffee, granola bar and fruit provided free for a morning snack. We requested to check in early and it was no trouble. We will be back!

Though a great location there can be road noise especially in the morning. It's nice to be semi rural but large tractors and trucks start early. It last fir only a short time. Honestly it's so lovely and quiet the rest if the time that us why we noticed.

The location is fantastic! Under a 10 minute walk to the hub of the shops and restaurants in Elora, and right across the street is the Casino, and the Elora Gorge just a few minutes further. Really the perfect location for what we wanted! The room is also equipped with a large mini fridge, and a microwave so that was a bonus!

Cleanliness was okay. Room was quite dark, however we did have the sliding glass door during the day to let light into the room. "Breakfast" that is included is just instant coffee and fruit.

We weren't expecting any breakfast, but found some nice take-outs in the lobby as we left for our long bike-ride the first morning. Thank you. We liked the fact we could park our car right outside our room's sliding doors as it protected our bikes on the rack behind our car, and also that it was easy to unload and reload our luggage into the room without going through the hotel, then up elevators or stairs. We'll stay there next time we go away in that area. Luckily it is less than 2 hours from our home in Burlington, and makes the ideal place for another staycation. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Location was ideal close to the town, but on a main road with some truck traffic noise. No bother at night though, and we were out most of the day on bike trails or walks in the conservation area.

Lovely place! Standard rooms. Convenient dinner for us at the Chinese place right beside it. We love the first floor... patio door right to our vehicle as it's convenient. Friendly service! We will be back!

The shower head needs to be cleaned...simple - fill a jar with a cleaning vinegar and put the shower head in the jar. It will give better water pressure as well.

The location was excellent. I had a room at the end of the hall which was perfect. I was only there to sleep. I went to a wedding at 3:00 and they let me check at 2:00pm which was good...However, they didn't let me know before hand, so I had to travel in my suit. I would have preferred to change in my room before the wedding, but they wouldn't give me confirmation of an 'early' (2:00pm doesn't seem early!) check-in before I came.

There was no breakfast or coffee when I came down to check-out.

Very good location, walking distance to town and less than a 5 minute drive from the Elora gorge. There is a casino too in the same area. The staff were friendly and helpful to suggest places of interest. A complimentary breakfast snack was good and the room was clean. Overall a very comfortable stay!

Would be good to have a few more channels on TV.

We walked to the front desk and poured ourselves a coffee and took a bar that was available.

We had difficulty finding the Inn as the numbers across the street were in the thousands and the Inn's address was 66. When we called the inn and gave the person as the front desk our location he didn't understand that we were across the streeet!!!! He also didn't know the town as he sent us downtown when the streets were blocked off and we could have avoided it all by travelling down Wellington 2 blocks and turning into Elora Mill Foundary parking lot.

The staff was friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Can't say there was anything I didn't like about my stay. Everything was great, second time staying here and lol be staying here again on the future.

The breakfast was not like a B&B but they had good coffee and fruit and granola bars. It was a easy walk to downtown Elora and nearby restaurants which we were very happy with. The room was very clean.
