Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Brantford, an IHG Hotel

Breakfast was excellent and they opened exactly on time so that enabled us to time our arrival to our event each day. Good quality and variety so each day we tried different things. Staff were very attentive!

A fire alarm went off at approximately 1:50 am on Saturday night. We didn't get to bed until 1 am (doing the books and inventory) and then had to deal with the fire alarm. No announcement was given to inform guests so we had to go down the steps, luckily the alarm stopped and we didn't have to go down to far. In the morning, the desk staff had to be asked what happened. No discount/incentives were offered and I was to rushed to leave to ask. In London, England the same situation happened in 2020 and they offered a discount as we were all inconvenienced by the

Very good hotel , super clean room and bathroom. Breakfast very good although I will never get used to paper plates and plastic cutlery. Slightly far out from the town so premium prices for such things as water, soft drinks for the room but knowing that now I would just order a taxi and go to the local supermarket to stock up for the week if I was to return .

With the highway right beside the hotel I had difficulty sleeping and would therefore ask for a room at the back of the hotel . no bar area to mingle after a days work - especially when working so far away from home.

It's a very nice hotel with big rooms. I travel with my family (wife and my teenager daughter) and we spet 2 nights. We used this hotel as base for visit Toronto and Niagara fall. You need car to do these. We was overall statified and we like it. At breakfast they have a self automatically pancackes machine. It was so fun to push a button and to get 2 hot pancackes ..

We discovery that the guy from cleaning use the hand anf face towers to clean miror and other surfaces. At the breakfast we didn't find any vegetable (no tomates, peperoni, etc) But, the overall stay was very good.

The location of the hotel was perfect. It's right off the main highway and close to Brantford's major arterial streets. If you are looking to access the town or any surrounding routes elsewhere, this hotel is very well located for this purpose.

There was a surprise service charge of $75 on my credit card from the hotel, which they are dodging inquiries about. It's not the worst fee in the world but avoiding discussion on it feels underhanded.

We traveled there for a basketball tournament for our kid's team along with other team members and their families and we had a great time. Rooms were exceptionally clean, we enjoyed the free breakfast buffet and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We utilized the large sitting area near the front lobby alot for hanging out with our team as a large group and it was a great, comfortable "hang out" spot during our stay. Overall it was a nice stay and the kids (and parents) were happy. Fast food places were within walking distance to the hotel which was convenient as well.

Pool was a lot smaller than expected but we made do with it.

Clean room and good breakfast. I love that there was a patio.

Asked for extended checkout 3 times told no. Then as we were checking out ask again why not and the manager said oh we offer it not sure why you were told no. Toilet kept running and had to shake the handle and the air conditioner was loud and rattled all night. When I brought up my concern to the front desk she told me no it’s not loud. I told her it was. It would randomly start with a bang and be louder then usual and something was rattling inside. Never had this issue before but in this location I could here the people walking etc in the room above

The hotel seems to be quite new, so everything was clean and functioning. The room and bathroom were spacious and I liked the chaise longue instead of an armchair. Breakfast was very good... lots of hot and cold choices. Certainly a substantial meal to start the day. Staff were polite and helpful We were planning to visit Whistling Gardens next day and this hotel was a 20 minute drive to that location.

We arrived at 2 pm and our room was not ready. We went away and came back at 3:30 and it was not yet flagged as ready. The clerk went and checked with Housekeeping staff and it was ready. So, conceivably it might have been ready at 2 pm . A second thing that surprised and disappointed me was carpeting in the bedroom. Carpets hold a lot of allergens and I really thought that hotels were going away from them. I have had to take antihistamines when staying in a room with carpet before. Antihistamines tend to keep me awake, and then I won't sleep well, so I don't like to take them to stay in a hotel room.

It was very good. Nice assortment of food. Pancake maker was an excellent idea rather than the kind that makes a mess. Very clean and organized. The ladies were very polite and helpful. Great idea having gloves before entering the food area. Our room was fantastic. The assessable room was wonderful, clean and good size. The bathroom was great considering I needed the help of side bars and a shower stall instead of a bath tub.

The toilet in our assessable room would be much better if there had been a higher toilet. Other than that we were quite pleased.

There is a remote window blinder. The bathroom is so big accessible for disabled. The carpet, sofa, bed and all that is there is clean and has a good aroma including the hallway. The breakfast was great including scrambled eggs and turkey sausages. The pool is good to unfortunately it wasn't warm/hot enough to enjoy but it was tolerable. There was a love sofa and big LED TV

The housekeeping was disrespectful by accessing room while the customers are still present inside the room but understandable (keeping the room clean for the next customer)

Loved the Dove products for use in the shower and body moisturizer. I've asked many times for rooms close together at a variety of different hotels and we've been on the same floor but not close. We were side by side, which was great! Our flight didn't get in until after 11 pm so our arrival at the hotel was after midnight. We were allowed a later check out (12 noon) but we were out of our rooms by 11 (anxious to get home). Great location.

Nothing to complain about.
