I have been staying here for years and this year more for business and always enjoyed my stay and the $10 charge for the convenience of a walkout.

I requested a walkout as always and was told it would be $40 a night extra, I said I always get it for $10, she said it depends on what you pay for your room, that can’t be true because I always pay the same, if this is how you treat repeat customers then this will be my last stay at your hotel, the walkout units are mostly empty so what’s the difference which room you put someone in. Thanks for appreciating one of your regular customers. I will definitely tell everyone to go elsewhere.

The staff was incredible. helped me get taxis, helped store my luggage, smiled, asked if I like the pool, check in easy, let me stayed a little later as our flight was at 7 pm. had laundry, ice, etc. wifi nice, beds nice, had a tub, big bathroom.

We had to walk around for a day, as we returned our rental car, only a Wendys, Tims , Starbucks and a Thai place around to eat. This really is nit picking, as two minutes away in a car is the best shopping and eating in Halifax- Bayers Lake. The breakfast is limited.

I found the location convenient, the facility clean and modern and the rooms more than adequate. This is not a luxury hotel, however, it is comfortably in the middle range and delivers as advertised.

The breakfast was meager - toast, coffee, pre-boiled eggs in little plastic bags. This was surprisingly underwhelming compared with the rest of the experience. All they have to do is provide, say, a tureen of oatmeal and a waffle-maker and the offering becomes adequate.

This was a great rest stop to begin my trip. The room was super comfy and warm. It was really handy having the breakfast buffet included and lots to choose from. Free parking and there's a bunch of chain restaurants near by if you have a car. I enjoyed the fact I was able to grab a hot tea anytime from the lobby! Only coffee in the room.

The pool is okay. Was cold and very small if other people are in it. No jacuzzi or sauna. Access to it is right in the lobby so you either change in there or bring your own bathrobe.

The staff (especially Dawn) was very friendly and so helpful in all suggestions and the staff was helpful, friendly, always smiling and willing to assist in all the days of our stay. The hotel was always clean. Lots of maps to use. It was quiet and very relaxing. Thank you to the Coastal Inn for making our visit to Halifax great. 😊

The only thing was the distance to the waterfront but overall it was great

The room had everything a top rated hotel should have and in good condition. was a good size. We had 2 very comfortable Queen size beds with 4 comfy pillows each, the tv was big and new, the bathroom was a good size, very clean, plenty of towels. There is a public washer and dryer and the room has an ironing board and iron. Surprisingly it has very little traffic noise at night, even though it’s just off the highway and we had our window open. It was an excellent price for what we needed, a comfortable and practical place to sleep for the night.

Unfortunately the air conditioning was very loud. It didn’t hinder us too much. We cooled down the room and then turned it off and open the window.

1) I was greeted by a very friendly staff member while checking in who made me feel truly welcome, 2) my room was a great size with comfortable furniture, good temperature control, and a window that could be cracked which was wonderful for sleeping, 3) the shower was great and I liked how the towels were folded, 4) breakfast hours were great and the selection was good. The location was also very convenient for getting to the highway and also for food/coffee

It was an honest mistake and it really didn’t bother me and I hate to even mention it but there was garbage (a food wrapper) under a table/desk when I got there. But I understand times are tough everywhere and I’m sure staff are doing their best, and it was the only non-positive from my stay!

Easy to access. Lots of free parking. Staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean. Beds are soft, which my partner prefers, though I like mine a little firmer it was still comfy enough. There was a complimentary breakfast though unfortunately we had to leave very early and didn't get a chance to stay. Will definitively book again.

The chairs in the room were a bit uncomfortable. And the smell of chlorine hits when you first walk into the lobby which is to be expected when the pool is directly across from it. Didn't really have anything else to complain about.

Large rooms, everything was very clean, no smell or odour. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and they did cleaning every day, incl fresh bedding and towels. Swimming pool is warm there and there are always fresh towels. the staff was extremely accommodating and customer oriented. we had 2 week trip all over east coast with 5 year old son and it was one of the best hotels we stayed in.

little bit outdated hotel, however they take care of the building and furniture, so it was not a great deal for us.

The location is great for accessing shopping and multiple eating venues. It has easy connections to the highways to attractions in downtown Halifax and elsewhere such as Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg. Smooth check-in and check-out. We appreciated being upgraded due to a longer stay. Breakfast, wifi, air-conditioning, in-room amenities (fridge and microwave) all very satisfactory. Ample free parking. Good overall value.

The decor was a bit dated, but still clean and comfortable.
