Alt Hotel Winnipeg

Amazing Hotel, staff beyond every positive expectation ! The were really great ! My home when in Winnipeg. Staff at reception, Ace, Eliah and "Shakira" were beyond kind and amazing. Took really superb care of me, helped me with taxis, getting to the airport, restaurant reservation (by the way, the restaurant "Merchant Kitchen" connected to the hotel via lateral door, is amazing!!!), and even took care of me after I check out. Really and amazing team and very attentitve. I really recommend the Hotel and will definitely be back !!

All was positive and beyond expectations

I appreciated the hotel's modern aesthetic. The hotel location was very convenient for my reason to visit Winnipeg on this particular occasion. The bed was very comfortable. The cleanliness was exceptional.

The hard plastic desk chair and the vertically-curved-back (too curved) armchair, the only seating in the room, were relatively uncomfortable to sit on, at least for any extended period. No drawer storage at all, only a small closet. No microwave oven.

There was nothing I didn’t love about the property! The staff was so nice, the room was clean and comfortable, it’s attached to a really good little restaurant, and the shower has really good water pressure. We are traveling with our dog and cat, and they even provided bowls for them with a bag of treats each! We loved our stay so much that we searched for another in Calgary and immediately booked our stay there.

The location was perfect for the Shawn Mendes concert. Right across from the Canada Life Place. The staff was the best part of the property tho! We came from a different province to see the concert with my daughter and the staff had printed out photos of Shawn Mendes and had a scavenger hunt for us when we arrived to our room! They went above and beyond!! Super friendly check in and check out! Just all around great customer service! Very impressed.

Different atmosphere and youthful environment. Our room felt soundproof. We didn't hear traffic or other guests. I liked the hotel toiletries sizes and scents, compared to other hotels toiletries. Loved the nespresso machine, as we have one at home. Loved the extra pillow. Me and my partner slept good.

I didn't like that there was no fridge, as we love having cool water to store. The one elevator was very wobble and felt uncomfortable in it. The lobby also smelt like motor oil.

The hotel is in a good location, right in the center. The room is neat and clean.

There is no possibility of breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant, i.e. there is no option of bed and breakfast, half board or full board, depending on who wants what. WA

room was clean and bed is comfortable, location is really good, staffs are nice and helpful . i like the view of this room and will recommand to my friends.

the room does not have microwave and fridge, so i could not store my coke into the fridge, and it is too far to park my car and walk to my room with a sky walk (forgot it is sky walk or sky hallway something)

The room was great, it wasn't the stuffy old hotel room feel with the outdated look and the bible in the drawer. It was fresh and modern, especially the bathroom (and the beds are like sleeping on clouds!). The staff were fantastic all around - i needed some help with the blinds that had gotten stuck and everyone involved was just a pleasure. No matter who was working the front desk, they were delightful to talk to. Would definitely stay here again!

There were three small things, though none are big enough inconveniences i'd not book again over: 1. Breakfast had to be preordered the night before through Merchant Kitchen (the restaurant downstairs) but no one tells you that, nor is there any info on that in the rooms. That would be nice. 2. The room is a bit awkward for eating in; the only table is a small desk against a wall. We made it work, but perhaps a small bed table or something like that would be nice especially while we're not able to sit in the lobby and eat. 3. There's a big hallway into the room which is fantastic, a simple bench or cube to sit on while you put your shoes on would be great! Again, none of these are a big deal, just some suggestions. :)

Location was amazing. We were in town for the Eagles concert and the Canada Life Centre was across the street. I felt safe in the hotel and parking garage. The staff were kind and helpful.The girl that checked us in was training and not very informative, but her colleague, Aice, was very helpful, kind, and enthusiastic. I will not hesitate to stay at the Alt again.

Everything was great.

This was so lovely--such comfy beds, restaurants open late nearby, helpful staff. There's even a bus (#15) that runs directly from the airport. I stayed across the street at the Radisson a few days earlier and Alt Hotel Winnepeg was so nice and modern by comparison. Nice desk and desk chair, snack kiosk at the front desk, things that just worked. I was able to get a COVID test about two blocks away for return to the US, and had no problem getting a 4 a.m. Uber, but the staff was ready to call me a taxi if that hadn't worked out.
