Location, value, room size - are all great. It's an older hotel that could do with updating, but with that in mind everything in the room worked fine, it was all clean, and met expectations at a good price. The staff were accommodating, friendly and helpful - we didn't ask for much extra, but when we did, they provided it with a smile.

The only caveat with the whole experience is that this is a hotel straight out of the 1970s, in every way. There is an upgraded TV in the rooms, and the WiFi works well. The rest of the stay is a comfortable suite from 1978 or so. Not a negative for us, but there are some who will find it old style.

I loved this hotel. I booked it after reading previous reviews. As I was travelling on my own I was looking for a room that was good value for money and in a safe area. The hotel was just perfect for both. Its not the most stylish or modern but it was spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, enough space for a whole family - bedroom sitting room and kitchen! and there was just me. I had a room on the 12th floor with awesome views over the city and the mountains beyond. Although there was no air conditioning I was able to open the windows and get a through breeze. There is street noise but you have to expect that if you are in the middle of a big busy City. Location wise it couldn't have been better, right on Robson and surrounded by loads of restaurants and shops - Breka for breakfast, coffee and cake, Ramen Danbo for lunch, the best Ramen I've ever had and Joe Fortes for amazing seafood for Dinner. All within 5 mins walk of the hotel. 10 min walk to Coal Harbour, English Bay, Granville Street or Sunset Beach - where you can catch the False Creek little ferry over to Granville Island. I couldn't have been happier with the Hotel or the location. The staff were plesant and friendly. If I come back to Vancouver again I will definitely stay here. All round a great stay.

I was very satisfied with the Hotel.

The rooms are suites so there is plenty of space. I was up high and the view was great with the doors and windows wide open. The windows themselves could have done with a good clean. Regardless of the faded nature of many of the furnishings, it still represents much better value than many of the fancier rooms around. And I was pleasantly impressed by how comfortable the bed was. Also, despite the hotel being full, I neither heard (nor even saw) another resident. It was really quiet, apart from external construction noise, which is a given in any city I’ve ever stayed in. The staff were pleasantly helpful but not obsequious. They were able to accommodate my need to stay an extra night on the morning I was due to check out.

It was hot while I was in Vancouver. Some of the curtains really do need replacing as the blockout is literally gone from the backs. Only about a third of the old incandescent bulbs have been replaced with efficient led’s. Both these things make the rooms hotter than they need to be. The curtains certainly won’t be keeping the cold out either.

The location in the downtown in walking distance to Stanley Park as well as to port area is really great. Staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We liked the kitchen, although the equipment could be better. We appreciated private parking lot, which was useful in this part of Vancouver.

The overall look of the apartment was a bit old-style, but served its purpose. We would prefer flexible shower (not the one fixed in the wall). The balcony was a bit scary (did not look well maintained) and the mountain view was only in the narrow spaces between other "skyscrapers".

This hotel was about half the cost as many other hotels downtown on new years eve, it is in a great location on Robson street ,had free outdoor parking, was a large suite with a separate bedroom, kitchen, extra sofa bed in living room, and it was a bonus I didnt expect that the room had a beautiful view looking over Robson street with a mini balcony. I could even see a little of the ocean too from the 11th floor . Linens were clean. Private coffee machine, fridge, microwave. toaster, and a few dishes to use in kitchen. The parking was not secured but the parking location seemed safer then other outdoor parking lots I have stayed at at more expensive hotels.

This is a 2 Star hotel as advertised in a prime location half the cost of nice hotels in this area so do not expect a nice hotel right downtown like other hotels twice the cost. This is an old hotel, with ugly curtains/ comforters, holes in the countertops and burns on the ground . Single Pane windows that would probably be really loud on a stormy night. No hair conditioner but there was soap shampoo. About was is expected. I wouldn't take someone here to impress them but I would stay again if I wanted a cheap place to crash.

Great value for money, central position with free parking and within walking distance from Stanley park, Canada place and Gastown. Very spacious apartment with comfortable sofa and bed. We enjoyed the view from the 9th floor do much that we decided to extend our stay there before leaving for Vancouver Island, rather than moving closer to the ferry terminal

Old, worn out building and room. The bathtub didn't drain. The window panes were very precarious. The room was very hot, too much

At first blush it appears old and dated, but we quickly came to see all of it's age and quirkiness as pluses. Our room was spacious clean and comfortable. The view was great, staff very friendly and helpful, location as as good as it gets, and all in all, it made for a really nice stay. We would absolutely stay again.

A few minor repairs or upgrades (lamp shades, bathroom taps) would really help

Amazing location, fabulous staff, great value. Loved it, what a gem. Is it dated looking? Sure. But it was clean, the room was huge, we had coffee (something our european rooms never have), my car was as safe as it could be, I was paying at least $70 less without driving an extra 45 minutes. Perfect for needing a homebase or a place to crash.

Everything was cosmetic - new coat of paint, lampshades, lights on the elevator, curtain liners. Nothing major at all.

Location was excellent. Lots of restaurants and shops in easy walking distance from the hotel. I also had a room that had view of the water from the floor to ceiling windows in living room. I saw boats pass by and sea planes land/take off. One unusual thing was a goose flew by the window. So cool to see up close. The staff were very nice, especially Asna. She was at the desk the morning I departed. Very helpful.

All good, no issues.
