Northway Motor Inn

The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming when I showed. I was glad I booked early as there was no vacancy available if I would have not have made a reservation.

Mosquitos were in the room, whether they followed me in or they were there before I got there. Fortunately, no more were found after the ones I got. Due to the climate, I don't think there is anything the staff could do as these things sneak in with every door being opened. Also, after I left, I realized there was better parking available across the street that would accommodate a U-Haul with a trailer.

The woman at the desk was very helpful. We were disappointed there was not a breakfast and none to be found for many miles. The store across the street does serve food but the service is exceptionally slow and the place looks unkempt and not the cleanest. There are not many places to stay between Prince Rupert and Dease Lake. We were lucky to have this clean and modest priced place to stay.

We booked in January for June, and didn't know what to expect while driving the Cassiar Highway. We were pleasantly surprised with the Northway. It is very clean, comfortable, has a mini kitchen in the room, bathroom was clean (very important to us). We had a great sleep and would recommend this hotel for sure.

A surprisingly good motel on a remote section of BC Highway 37. Rooms were of good size and quality, the staff were friendly and helpful, the barbecue area was fun, and it is situated very nearby the limited local amenities (gas bar, food truck, take-out Chinese food, grocery and liquor store).

No breakfast but complimentary coffee was appreciated. Convenient to have a breakfast room where we ate our own breakfast. Large, quiet room that was immaculately clean. Nice to have use of the bbq picnic area where we made our dinner.

there was only one small soap to share for the sink and tub which were in separate rooms. there was no A/C but there was a large fan in the room for our use if needed. also there is no hair dryer.

It was very clean, comfortable, and friendly. The host offered advice about the few meal options nearby and provided coffee in the morning.

There was no air conditioner, but we didn’t need it with the window open to let in the cool night air. Unfortunately, we could smell the septic system during the night.

For the only game in town, the Northway Motor Inn went beyond expectations offering a comfortable, clean and quiet accommodation. The staff were lovely and made great recommendations for food from a local business. Would definitely recommend staying there if you’re in Dease Lake for any reason.

Location was ideal due to the remote area we were traveling thru. The staff was very friendly and made dinner recommendations that hit the spot after a long day of travel.

The room temperature was too warm with only a small fan and Parking lot is pot holed and needs to be resurfaced or hard topped.

This is a standard small town Canadian motel. Nothing spectacular, but you have what you need to lay down for a night. The entire village more or less closes down at 20:00, but the motel has a nice arrangement with a local charity to provide then with some home cooked frozen meals, so the evening was saved.
