The Wine Vine Hotel

A very big "thank you" to Lindy at Reception who did everything to make our stay go well. We especially appreciated her letting us know about the "secret gem" for lunch - it was delicious! It was a nice surprise to find a toaster and coffee maker in our room. Bed was comfortable and it was great to have the little private, outdoor area to sit and enjoy a drink. The pool looked very inviting and the onsite Asian Restaurant was a convenient spot for dinner on our second night (visitors should be aware it is not open on Wednesdays).

If you want to go into town for shops or dinner you will need to drive.

Comfortable stay on our road trip. I cannot fault the venue and the host/manager offered a friendly welcome. Clean and offered all the basics needed for a two-night stay in the Barossa. Parking was easy and under-cover in front of the room, with acceptable height restrictions on entry or exit (think about 2.4-2.5m) - more parking at the front should you exceed this height. Split bathroom/toilet was great for a family of 3 to get moving each morning...

The open wash basin area/shower setup did not offer privacy when getting out of the wet shower area... We travelled with a 13YO kid and required some logistics :) However, this will not detract us from booking this venue again! Great value, the best location, and clean rooms.

My stay at the Wine Vine Hotel was absolutely brilliant and I wholeheartedly recommend this small, quiet, clean and tasteful motel. I stayed due to unexpected circumstances, and chosen the Wine Vine Hotel at random, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The rooms are tasteful, spacious, quiet and have a beautiful outlook into well kept gardens, and they are surprisingly private as well. The staff were absolutely amazing, so accomodating and helpful. I needed to work from my room and I found it absolutely the best home away from home I could have imagined. I didn't want to leave! Oh and I should mention, Tanunda has great restaurants and cafes, some are in walking distance of the Wine Vine and others are only a km away. For example the Angus & Co. Barossa; the popular 50s diner; 1918 restaurant; Kampung Kitchen. You're spoiled for choice.

It was very nice and the bed very comfortable. Staff lovely. Very quiet, good position. We had a enjoyable trip out to Bethany, an old village nearby, and to Maggie Beer's farm, from there. Thanks, Lindy! Your conversation was a real pleasure!

I have many back injuries so bending first thing isn't easy. I would have liked a normal height table and normal height seats to be able to eat breakfast properly, rather than TV lounge chairs and a low table. I had to stand to have breakfast. The shower and toilet were cold so we left the doors chocked open to get the warm aircon air in.

The location was fantastic and the service was incredible. We were able to get to all of our destinations very easily and the hotel was never too far away. John at the reception desk was perfect and help set our experience well. Caitlin made the rooms feel like a home and there was nothing to fault. Thank you for everything!

Nothing. The room, service and experience were perfect. For our little short stay, it was the perfect place to stay. When we visit the Barossa again, we will certainly keep you in mind. Thank you!

The welcome from Lindy set the happy tone for my stay, and the chats with John continued same. . Appreciated the local knowledge offered without any hard sell. The sunshine pouring into the comfortable n spotless room when I entered it extended the welcome. Parked right at my door. A good value base for my few solo days in Tanunda. Close enough to town centre to walk to bakeries, cafes, cellar doors, etc. Bed a little firm, n bathroom quirky, but I go on holiday for something different to home!

From the moment we booked until the day we left the staff were absolutely wonderful. We entered our room to rolled up towels on the bed and little chocolates. The room was spotless with a small sink area that had everything we needed plus separate shower and toilet. Plenty of car parking too! Great location with a nice Chinese restaurant on site.

Nothing!

John the manager was exceptionally kind and helpful. Our TV wouldn't work and he tried everything he could-even offering his laptop. We didn't mind and he enabled us to change rooms the next morning. I suggested he might dance and entertain us that way. He was desperate..so dance he did..it was hysterically funny. We are still laughing about this interlude. We used the Asian Tucker restaurant on site...v good.

We were pleased with the double deluxe room we had for the second night.

Spacious room, great friendly staff and helpful, clean facilities and pool, excellent value for the cost. Parking was excellent, and was under the shade, which helps in the heat.

The first room we were allocated, it had an unpleasant smell which affected our throats, but this was immediately rectified by Lindi who moved our room and we were very happy with that one, so much so we stayed an extra night!

Very clean and comfy. I accidentally booked an accessible room, so lots of space. I didn't need an accessible room of which I made sure to tell reception. We were asked if we were ok with taking that room anyway which we were.

I dont think someone who needed an accessible room would have found it very accessible. Not enough railing in the bathroom, shower head not reachable from a wheelchair. Handbasin way too high to be accessible from a wheelchair.
