Rusty's Motel

Good place to stay considering the price, the carpet was dirty and the wifi was average, the pool was not very clean either. But fine to stay in considering the price. No one should pay less than $100 a night and expect luxury.

The carpet in the bedroom was very dirty and was covered in stains. The overall hygiene of the place could be improved on and there was BBQ sauce still on the TV that I had to clean off before using it.

Rusty's Motel is an economy priced motel with clean rooms, comfortable beds, hot showers, and off-street parking. It is within walking distance of restaurants and a shopping centre, 5 minutes drive to the East Shores parkland precinct, and close to the highway leading to Rockhampton and the Mount Larcom climb (our objective). It met all our criteria and satisfied our need, at a very reasonable price.

There seemed to be a lot of smokers in the courtyard carpark, and the smoke filtered under the room door, until I blocked it with a towel. Quite a bit of noise can be generated in the carpark by late arrivals or late night conversations outside rooms.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating when coordinating out of hours check ins. Nothing was really an issue and I didn’t have to follow them up. They followed me up. My room was appropriately equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay and was clean and well presented on arrival. The complex was quiet and considerate from an early hour so that was a bonus for a tired traveler. I would recommend Rusty’s to my friends and family.

Room was clean and inviting. Has a jug and toaster and a microwave, everything was neat and tidy and packed away. The air-conditioning was absolutely wonderful. It had a decent size tv in the room, it also Has a nice big swimming pool, the owner and staff where very friendly and helpful and nice to talk too. Good quiet location. Will definitely be staying again for sure. 10/10 This was for a 3 night stay.

Could have had more pillows and blankets and the shower head could do with a new updated one. Old looking and the water pressure could have been a bit better. But nice and hot though.

Very reasonable price for central location. Older style motel made up for by providing plenty of extra kitchen items. not the cheapest coffee and milk. Many thanks.

The shower head was far from functional when we arrived. After mentioning this to the owners the shower head was replaced without fuss. The owners went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable.

Was just a rest stop on way to cairns but we were very pleasantly surprised how great it was considering the low price per night. The managers were so lovely and went out of their way to organise a late check in for us and then the next morning were so helpful getting us back on the road. Wouldn’t hesitate in staying here again

Easy access to your motel quiet the lady that booked me in was fantastic defiantly will be back the room I had was a pretty good size and the beds were comphy defiantly recommend.

It had what we required for an affordable price. It was walking distance from cafes and shopping centre. It is right in the centre of Gladstone so easy to get around on foot. Parking in front of your room is awesome.

The location made it easier to find banks, groceries and great cafes plus access to visitor information services
