The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. The room and bathroom were lovely and clean. The location to the Darling Harbour attractions and Lyric theatre was excellent.
The shower was unbelievably small to the point, I could hardly turn around to wash myself let alone attempt to wash my hair. There was only a generic bodywash, shampoo (No conditioner) combo dispenser set into the shower wall. This would be fine in a $50 per night YMCA or back packer accommodation, not an expensive 4 star rated hotel. The wardrobe space was also very small if you were staying more than a couple of days and wanting to hang up clothing.

Location, was close to light rail and Darling Harbour. Price was the cheapest I could find for the location. Value for the price, was basically only there to sleep as I spent most of my time wandering the sites.
It felt very aged, room had chipped paint on walls etc, carpet was worn and the dark paint in hallways was unappealing. Disappointing that the room didn’t have conditioner for when I washed my hair, I normally bring my own but the only time I don’t, I was frustrated I had to buy some. All hotels I’ve previously stayed at offer much better complementary toiletries.

The staff were great, helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and just generally fabulous. The beds and pillows were super comfortable, the a/c was great!
The room was teeny tiny.... it looked like it had been half attempted to be updated, but fell short. Finishings of the assumed attempted reno were not great, especially the bathroom and doorway- that was pretty poorly finished- as was the carpet wrapped up the wall which was failing and coming off the wall. Our room must have back on to a lift... it sounded like a doorbell in our room everytime the lift arrived to the floor

Met my expectations. Pleased to see some of the things that are not always evident these days in comparable hotels - such as face washers and shower caps, sufficient supply of teabags, coffee and milk ( in the fridge). There was also a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, without having to ask for these. There was easy access to the entry and no delays with lifts. Breakfast offered good options and was reasonably priced and available until 10am. Check out available until 11am was also a plus. Corridors were quiet and there were no noises or disturbances during the night. The availability of car parking at the hotel next door is also a plus. Staff were efficient, friendly and helpful.
The coffee shop/bar didn’t open until 4:30pm and was closed when I returned to the hotel just after 10pm. The ironing board in my room (307) was probably due for replacement as it was hard to open and collapsed when I was ironing.

The room had a good view of Darling Harbour though that might change when the new building goes up in front of it. Loved how centrally located it was.
There needs to be lights or floor strip lighting outside the eating area. Late at night and early morning when still dark I found it hard to see where I was walking and there is a step to seating that is hard to see. The cost of parking is ridiculous especially when you are staying at the hotel. Didnt know where to find the parking for Ibis when driving in so parked in WIlson car park.

We were very happy that we could leave our car on the last day for a few extra hours. This solved a huge problem for us. We are very grateful for the way the Ibis Team helped us with this. Cleanliness was great...much appreciated.
Bird poo in the carpark, and on the car is the only thing.. Very difficult to sort that...but they poop off the light above carpark next to the walking ramp that goes down to the Wilson's part of the car park. The birds may have nests above there, because there were dead chick bodies and poop on the car Overall ...Found it a bit difficult to find something not to like. Thank you Ibis🙂

I love the price for a room especially for a self-funded person wanting to stay close to ICC where the conference was. The room is clean, tidy and neat. It is 5 minutes walking distance from Ibis to ICC. Breakfast on weekdays are basic but Saturday was awesome. I got to see scrambled eggs and sausages. I wish I could see them on weekdays. There is a gym but it is in Novotel which you could gain an access card from Novotel reception.
The carpet is old. There is no smart tv that I could watch Netflix on it. The bathroom is ok but I feel the shower head should be changed. It is old. The bathroom fan is dusted and I don't think it is working. I wish there was privacy glass too so I won't scare the people from office can look through.

The room was clean with a good view of Darling harbour. The bed was super comfy. The only thing that was frustrating was the shower leaked and made the bathmat sopping after each shower. We were able to walk to the train station, ferries were close, some attractions were close by.
Not hotel related but the buildings in front of the Ibis Hotel were all closed down, so finding places close by to eat was a little frustrating. We found a Coles and a Woolworths close by so were able to get some food for snacks to feed hungry teens.

The Service of the hotel was good, bed was comfortable, location of hotel was good as it was close to where we wanted to travel to. There were a few sites around the city we wanted to see all not far from the hotel.
The room was a bit too small for my wife and I, a bit too cramped. The hotel restaurant left a bit to be desired the menu for the evening was very limited, breakfast was very limited, my wife and I stayed here in 2018 and the breakfast and dinner menus were so much better then. The staff were good in the restaurant for the staff that were there, the barman working the bar had to work waiting tables as well during the evening meal, more staff working in the restaurant at night and a menu offering more for meals would have made the dining experience that much better. The meals my wife and I ate were good.
