Location is great. Near the CBD shopping area and close to many restaurants. All walking distance. Buffet Breakfast was great, lots of options and gluten free is available. There’s a chef cooking the eggs your way. The gym is ok, there are some cardio pieces (rowers, bikes, treatmills and a crosstrainer) and a handful of weighted machines, a dumbbell tower and some fixed bars. There’s also a sauna in the gym/pool area.

The rooms are small, with double beds. The rooms were not serviced properly, with rubbish being left from one day to another, and beds not being made. They come in and change towels.

The Crown Plaza Hotel boasts an exceptional location, offering great value for your money. While the staff were friendly, it seems the Crown primarily hires Asian staff. I believe the staff should reflect the diverse multicultural diversity that Canberra possesses, not just Asian. This suggests that other nationalities might be overlooked for employment at the Crown due to their skin colour.

Weekend staff were superb, happy smiling and we’re happy to deal with. They were able to give more intel around canberra then what we were given at check in. - cleanliness was superb, lovely staff - parking very convenient - room service fabulous

I should of booked a bigger room with a kitchenette for a family of 3 :) - not having a porter, having to make two trips back and forth whilst trying to settle in with a 1 year old. - I had requested for a cot in the room but was not there upon arriving, we had went out and still was not there (quite annoyed at this point). Had called again and was bought up straight away. Two morning breakfasts we had to find a high chair (manager on shift, he did pop over and apologised to my fiancé, thank you for acknowledging) - including the last morning, we were at the hotel we waited for 5mins and we just sat ourselves at a table (not realising the table had no cutlery). We asked for cutlery to the lady and waited then we just took from other tables.

The staff were very friendly and professional. During check-in, I told Nikki it would be my daughter's birthday during our stay. On her birthday, the hotel provided the amenities that just made my daughter's day special, and it's really lovely. The breakfast service is great, the staff are welcoming

The size of the room is relatively small, and the bathroom needs a renovation. The parking area is chaotic; the parking pass only worked on the last day of our stay. The bed is not very comfy compared to the other IHG hotel, and the pillow is awful.

Although the restaurant was accommodating, and the staff friendly, I was uninspired by the menu. Ironically my wife who can never find anything on a menu loved it because of the vegetarian choices. To me when market fish is the only fish on the menu that is disappointing. Not even salmon from the grill. Didn’t have breakfast because we felt $36 was a bit much for a buffet. Plenty of great places in Canberra to grab a good breakfast at a reasonable price. Our room was bit dark because of the carpet colour (obviously for practical reasons) but it did make the room feel a bit dowdy. Lift to the carpark was annoying. Three lifts of which only one descends to the carpark, annoying as you have to change on the ground floor unless you’re lucky.

A traditional hotel, meeting all needs for the price. The room is clean, comfortable and has a green view of the large park, I really like this. The receptionist was very friendly and let us leave our luggage half a day after checking out. The hotel is located next to the shopping and dining center, just a 3-minute walk for comfortable entertainment.

This is an old hotel, so the equipment is very old (it's not dirty or broken but outdated), especially the bathroom. The hotel's buffet breakfast is quite poor, it's not bad but there aren't too many options.

We love the location and the fact you have onsite parking. We just park the car and can walk to most places we want to go. If we need to drive somewhere this is an easy option. The rooms are very clean and the beds are exceptionally comfortable. Any staff member we come into contact with are always friendly, helpful and professional. Nikki did our check in and check out on this visit and I would like to say she was exceptionally professional and helpful. An asset to your organisation.

The room was fine, comfortable and very clean. The hotel facilities and parking were also very good. Breakfast food was also good, but the restaurant facility needs improvement - see below.

There was a queue for a breakfast tables (about 10-15 minutes) at 9 AM, which we thought was understandable for a Sunday morning, However, the real-coffee machine service was understaffed. There was just one person operating the machine, and she was going flat out, but was overloaded by the demand. There were multiple cups of coffee waiting to be delivered to the tables, just sitting there going cold. Two people should have been rostered-on to the coffee service during that peak time. This is not a comment on the barista, she was very polite and capable and was working flat out, this is a comment on the failure of management to predict (or then manage) the demand for coffee on a Sunday morning.

Breakfast was as to be expected. Unfortunately I’d finished before my coffee arrived. A pot of tea or coffee would have saved numerous trips up and down. I realise the coffees were specially prepared but at peak periods this was just a piece of nonsense. Location was perfect. Staff could have had better information on bus services. Also the taxi service wasn’t great- I was told somebody else must have taken my taxi. No names or destinations were given to the taxi company so it was a free for all.

Better organised taxi service. No shuttle service to airport. No information on trips. Ordered one dinner I thought it was too greasy and the side arrived when I’d nearly finished- poor show, eat out after that

Location was great, buffet breakfast had a lot of variety and quality was decent. Service was also great and everyone we came across was very friendly. Late check out at 11am is good. Arcade/Games machine for the kids in the lobby and activity packs on check in. Very family friendly. Great stay.

Cost of parking was too expensive if you wanted to park on site $30 a day. However we did manage to find Street parking close by from 4.30pm-9.30am. Beds were too soft and bathrooms very dated. Blinds take forever to manually wind up and down.
