Excellent location to walk to town, the waterfront, even the village of Gandria. Also, the bus to the train stops in front of the hotel. Comfortable bed, quiet, adequate breakfast. Good wifi. Elevator. Loved the Ticino pass for public transit!

Very compact. No fridge or water cooker. Pricey, but ok when compared to other Swiss properties. No English language tv news option. I would have liked some warm offerings at breakfast. Sure, you can pay for the extras, but 8 Swiss francs for 2 scrambled eggs? Seriously?!

The warmth of the staff is exceeded only by the quiet, clean, comfort and beautiful location. We got in late and the lovely staff in the restaurant stayed open and ensured we were fed. We then walked from the hotel to the nearby park to see the lake within 2 minutes. A very cozy sleep and super convenient for train travelers needing a stop in Lugano or folks visiting longer!

As always, the price compared to what you get could be lower, but to be expected for Lugano. For a place with breakfast and such easy location, it’s not bad.

Excellent hotel staff, very good location, very good breakfast, good room. The hotel staff was very helpfull, thank you! The hotel is very clean, the room was enough large. The location is very good, close to city center and few steps from the lake. The breakfast and the restaurant were very good. The Ticino ticket gives many good possibilities for visiting the city and Ticino, for free or with lower prices.

Almost nothing to complain. Maybe a fridge would be good, especially during summer time.

Great location close to the strict city center and the lake. Really close to a big bus station from which you can get a bus in any direction and also the train station (which is pretty close but requires a quite intensive walk up so bus is a great alternative). The interiors are a bit old fashioned but the room has everything that necessary. Mine located on the last floor (elevator present) had also a very spacious balcony with a nice view of the city. There is AC in the room. The personnel at reception desk is really friendly and helpful and it was easy to communicate in English. The ladies serving the breakfast don't speak English (only Italian I think) but are really approachable so in the end it was never a problem. The breakfast is in a form of buffet with a variety of products available. I highly recommend and would definitely consider staying here again while visiting Lugano.

We were very grateful for the air conditioning in a hot summer season. (Note: some cheaper rooms don't have air con - we deliberately booked a mid-price room that did.) The location right on a Number 2 bus stop was also useful. A short walk to the lake shore and old town area. The restaurant has a good range and reasonable prices. The multilingual staff were terrific.

It was not possible to make a cup of tea or coffee in the room.

Great location, staff were wonderful, rooms were modern and nicely designed. Good breakfast. Lobby desk staff even gave us a 50% discount coupon for one of the funicular trips (worth 25 CHF), as well as a pass for free use of city transit. By the way, the #2 bus takes you directly from the train station to the hotel door, and back, although it is close enough to walk. We walked to the hotel (downhill) from the train station, but appreciated the free bus ride back to the station.

I have no complaints!

We had a corner room which was big and with two windows. Very comfy bed. Right in the city centre. Friendly staff. Almost no noise from the street.

Could hear noise and cell phone vibrations from the room over us. Hotel hair dryer was very low wattage (need like 20 minutes to dry longer hair).

The staff was exceptionally friendly & helpful! The woman at the desk was fluent in English. Her skill switching seamlessly from English, German & Italian was amazing to watch! The cold breakfast buffet was plentiful & the sweet waitress was happy to bring us more than 1 cappuccino.

The 3 person room was adequate & very clean but nothing exceptional (although the bathroom was huge). The walk from the train station is long & down a lot of stairs: it was hard with luggage in the snow & the dark! Don’t be ignorant like me: take the tram down the mountain to the center of town or a bus straight to the hotel door.

We were very happy with our stay. The location is perfect, close to the lake. The staff are very friendly and helpful, for example, storing a bottle of Prosecco in the hotel's fridge for us. The beds are comfortable and the air-conditioning effective. One may leave your luggage before check-in and after check-out. Our room also had a lovely balcony.

Great location near the city center and the city park, where there was possibility to swim, several restaurants nearby. Also restaurant with reasonable prices at the hotel. Great breakfast.

It was very hot in Lugano, and not all the rooms have airconditioning. The hotel offered us a room with airconditioning, but at a different rate. Our non-airconditioned room fortunately had a balcony but not all the rooms have one. I missed an public area where you could sit outside/ have a drink.
