Hotel Dischma

The staff and the owner of the hotel are very helpful and they upgrade the room once they know that the Wifi is not good in our reserved room. The location in Paradiso is highly appreciated. The location is very close to the train station. It saves time and money to go to different important places like Monte San Salvatore, Swissmanutour, lake toures,.... The room was comfortable with a perfect balcony but the pillows has to be less soft. When I will go back to lugano I will reserve again a room in this hotel.

Great location, close to the center of Paradiso, train station, bus stops, supermarkets, restaurants and the lake. The room was spacy and comfortable. The room was clean. The staff kind and helpful. Recommended for those who don't like the noise of Lugano. Very good breakfasts in the bakery nearby.

The bathroom was tiny and dark - additional light would be a plus. The last floor is a private apartment so living just a floor below and listening to the noise of daily routine of the family might be problematic for some guests.

Fantastic value, clean room, seperate bathroom with bath, and a private entrance hall with doors sepearing the bedroom and bathroom. Mini fridge, excellent black out shutters. Grest location a few minutes from Lugano Paradiso station close to the lake and bus stops, and wuth 2 supermarkets, bakery, cafe and some restaurants close. City tax gives you a Ticino card, valud until midday on day of checkout, which gives you free travel throughout the Canton (county), i used for free travel to Locarno, Bellinzona and halfway to Chur, plus half lrice to some musuems.

Lack of tea/coffee making in room, but this was very clear in the booking.com room description.

Super central location that was still totally quiet. Air conditioning, big, bright room, own bathroom. Fresh smelling, clean rooms. Super comfortable beds! Mini-fridge available in room too. Friendly staff that weren't overbearing. Uncomplicated hotel with a relaxing experience.

Would have been nice for the bathroom to have a showerhead holder to take a shower. You could effectively only take baths, as the shower holder is at knee height. Also, the bouquet of flowers we specifically asked for were given to another room by mistake and we didn't receive replacement. We were placed in the first floor, so there was no real view to enjoy. Given the good value for money, this wasn't a big deal though.

The breakfast buffet was not very big but it had everything that is part of a basic buffet. The room was quite big, clean and everything as expected. The location is very good, as it is close to the lake, very close to the Paradiso trainstation and even closer to the cablecar up to Monte San Salvatore.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was a good size for 3 of us and our dog. There was a nice breakfast. It was a great location to get to the little cogwheel train up the mountain.

The property is a little old. The dining room could be updated. The chairs could be changed to lighter and more modern ones. The entrance can easily be missed.

The location is close to a train station and the funicular going to San Salvatore. It's just a bus ride away from Lugano centre, though walking is an enjoyable option because of the stunning view. Cheaper compared to Hotels in Lugano center. Good sized room with a balcony.

There's a door to connecting to the next guest room, although it's locked, it's not soundproofed.

great price for Lugano. So greta when you go hiking to san salvador. a bit remote from the city center but really easy to access. Restaurant and supermakets in the neighbourhood. Bus and train station too

It was a good one day visit for us. The hotel was easy to find and well-located. Not in the most trafficy part of town, but in a walking distance (along the beautiful lake) from the center. Parking hall is really close to the hotel (for 15 CHF/day). Supermarket was also very close. Staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean.

The room was big enough, a bit outdated but comfortable enough. Although it isn't in Lugano city center, it is really close to the promenade in Paradiso, a 30 min walk from Lugano with nice views over the lake. The staff was kind enough to keep our luggage for some hours while we explored the town.
