Hotel Lido Seegarten

Great location. Clean. A wonderful combination of pool and direct access to the lake incl. a floating island. The bed was very comfortable. Great breakfast buffet. Delicious dinner.

There were free chips to snack on, but no free water, which is definitely the better choice in my opinion :-) The staff in the restaurant was nice, however, it felt like volume handling - getting as much people in and out. There was no personal touch whatsoever and I overheard some staff members standing 1.5 meters away making fun of guests.

Wonderful location directly at the lake’s shore, walking distance from the city center, through the beautiful park Ciani. Scrumptious breakfast buffet with vegan and gluten-free choices as well. The cuisine of the restaurant is very good, and the personnel very competent and friendly. Nicely equipped gym and outdoor pool (not heated)close to the lake. Very original, a chalet near the pool is serving Swiss cheese specialties.

The room, even though ok in size, had a peculiar oldish smell. On my floor (2nd floor) there was nauseous air freshener scent, far too pungent for the small corridor. I have often encountered air freshener in hotels, luckily with pleasant and sophisticated scents, which left me a good memory.

The "mountain view" rooms actually have a street view. The street is noisy and I wouldn't recommend to stay in those rooms. I recommend to book more expensive rooms with lake view, so as not to spoil your vacation. The "on-site" parking is actually in the yard of another building across the street. We had to leave a lot of our bags in the car but there were no problems or incidents with them, so the parking indeed looks safe, as was stated by the staff.

Many delicious options in breakfast to pick from. Receptionists very helpful and friendly. Great location with amazing views.

The fact that the employees in the breakfast area were always in a rush and running. I understand that they were in a rush to serve us, the customers but sometimes I felt like I also had to rush so somebody could pass quickly or when they were asking if we want coffee or something with our breakfast, it felt like they expected a very fast answer. It would be nice if they could minimize that so the customers can also relax during their vacation. Apart from that, the service was perfect.

Location is splendid, service beyond standards, chefs do their utmost best to keep your sense of flavours entertained with local products based cooking. You do feel like a star, in particular with the pantagruelic breakfast that awaits you every morning. Nevertheless a couple of minor disappointments will be reported here below.

After an 1830 eur stay for 4 nights, 2 people, breakfast included, lake view side, and after having been their guest for four years one would expect some attentive discounts. Further, while the internet connection is rather okay for work and downloading documents, it sucks that it is barely possible to watch Netflix due to the slow motion internet that they have at their disposal. Last but not least, laptop has run out of battery and well, Suisse plugs are rather peculiar and one may not have an adaptor ready at hand. Asking for one meant to have to make the huge investment of 18 euros for buying one rather than having one on loon. Terribly sorry but I was not so amused about having to work for a couple of days on my phone, after having spent such an outrageous amount of money for my stay.

The location was good, lovely view from the pool and patio. Wished we had booked a lake view room. Enjoyed the walk too and from the city Centre. When we left some documents behind in the safe we greatly appreciated the prompt notification by telephone and later the facilitation of the courier pick up. Again Thank-you.

The only thing we didn’t like was the sparrows that inhabit the pool terrace, breakfast terrace. They are very cheeky, have to be shooed off constantly and attack peoples food especially a problem that detracted from the experience of breakfast on the terrace. My cream slacks were dirtied when one of the sparrows in the vines above pooped on me.

The hotel was so beautiful and in a great location, right near the lake and just 20 min away from the Lugano Centro station. Take the bus line 2 and get off at stop Monte-Bre/Casserate then you will be there in no time. The building is classically beautiful and extremely clean. The hotel and restaurant staff are also incredible! The gym on the top floor is also really nice, a lot of state-of-art equipment for a full workout.

i didn't like that you had to log in the wifi several times during the day and it wasn't connected at all times. but it is fine.

Location, ambience, reception staff

Staff at Bar seem to be overstretched and have no time to attend for room service. Restaurant staff are bit curt and perhaps bit more hospitable would have been helpful.

We were traveling without a car and took a taxi from the train station the first day with our luggage but then we were easily able to walk or take public transport for anything we wanted to do. The pool was beautiful the staff was super helpful and it was soooo nice having access not only to lake front but use of paddle boards kayaks and floating loungers.

The property was perfect.

My family and I had a wonderful time at the Lido Seegarten. The location is excellent and the hotel is very comfortable. The view from the balcony, restaurant and pool area is magnificent and the direct lake access is superb. The gym was nice and modern. Everything was super clean. The staff and service was excellent. We highly recommend a stay here.

Very little negative to say. The hotel is rather pricey but the facilities and service are also excellent. I think that the pool area was a bit cramped. The pool itself is large, but the surrounding pool area was a bit small. The beds were a bit hard but otherwise the rooms were very comfortable. The balcony with seaview was quite a bit smaller than it looked in the pictures.
