Hotel Bristol

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Bristol. The room was excellent - a good size, comfortable bed, excellent air conditioning, recently refurbished and quiet looking out over the courtyard. We had asked for a room over looking the garden/Park and the hotel delivered our request. The staff on reception were very helpful, particularly Antonio, who gave us great dinner recommendations. We were also looking at some 5 star hotels, but we were really glad we chose the Bristol. It was considerably cheaper and very comfortable. We'll be staying at the Bristol on our next trip..

The only slight thing was that the consumables, tea bags, bathroom items in the room weren't replaced one one of the days, but this was a very minor point.

Great room, great location, friendly staff and decent breakfast. Just a few steps away from Lake Geneva and within easy walking distance to the old town, restaurants, bars and everything. This hotel benefits from having been recently refurbished. The room size is above average and boasts a very modern bathroom with heated towel rail. We also enjoyed the generous, beautifully fragranced, Molton Brown complimentary toiletries. Unfortunately, we did not get a chance to use the fitness centre or spa facilities which would have been nice. The complimentary tea and coffee machine in the bedroom was also a draw card. Nice atmosphere in the lobby with live, chilled music.

If we had one complaint, it would be that at breakfast, the waiting staff were very keen to remove items before consumption and not so keen to provide additional cutlery when required.

Good location. Hotel room was much quieter than anticipated. We actually couldn’t even hear people in neighboring rooms. We had a room overlooking the garden square and we couldn’t hear any street noise. The website photos don’t do justice to the property/rooms. Much higher quality than I anticipated vs. photos/website.

The only one thing that could have been improved is the light coming in from the hallway overnight. The windows can be fully blacked out, but the hotel door let substantial light in underneath. Such a minor nit and easily resolved with a spare towel rolled up.

Excellent location just across the bridge from the old town, 1 min walk to Lake Geneva and 5 min walk north to shopping area along rue de Mont Blanc. Great clean renovated room with good responsive aircon and comfortable bed and pillows. My room was quiet facing a beautiful square at the back. Comfortable adult size extra bed for my daughter. Shower working perfectly with good temperature adjustment. Must not miss the great buffet breakfast with everything. Reception and concierge staff always very helpful. Special mention to Arnauld at concierge gave good directions in Geneva. While in Montraux, telephoned reception enquired about a good Swiss restaurant on a Sunday and received recommendation within 20 min. Hotel carpark close by, and car can be delivered to front of hotel in the mornings. Will definitely stay here again.

Nothing much. Carpark behind hotel for guest has narrow passage and only suitable for medium and small cars.

I love this hotel! This was the best hotel throughout our trip to Europe. Luxurious, charming and functional. The staff are great and courteous. It is within walking distance from the main train station. We had two large suitcases and had no problems dragging them to the hotel. The price is a bit steep, but it is worth it. Make sure to request for a renovated room.

This is me nit-picking - I didn't like that the housekeeping staff leaves their trolley at the hallway next to the elevator. It was there the whole time during the day for both days I was there. It should be removed when not in use as it was partially blocking the path from our room. But it seems they only removed it during the night.

I come to the Hotel with my family for many years and I am a big fan. I think its one of the best hotels in Geneva in terms of price & return. Although its a 4 star hotel I feel like the level of service and amenities are 5* level. Nice, comfy and quite rooms. Perfect location (close to city center and train station) and great restaurant and staff. I recommend the hotel for nice & cozy stay. Also I feel like the fact that its family owned (since 1972) makes it more special, as staff members really care and want you to come back.

Great location and nice services

Our flight home was cancelled whilst we were on the runway at 20:30, so we needed to find somewhere to stay. We selected the Bristol and it was great. The Manager, Stefano, was incredibly helpful and did everything to assist us. As we were flying into Geneva for one meeting and returning home in a day we had no changes of clothes or toiletries. Stefano even offered to provide us with (clean) socks. Lovely guy.

Location is perfect, this will be our go to hotel.

Excellent concierge. Wonderful location. Very good marks for cleanliness and housekeeping.

One of thr two requested rooms was supposed to have had two beds and be larger than the one with only one bed. We were shown two rooms with one bed each, and when I said one of the rooms was supposed to have two beds, my daughter and granddaughter were moved to a much smaller room which they made up with two beds. They did offer us free breakfast by way of compensation which was a satisfactory solution.
