Birka Hotel

The location was great, really close to the metro station that connects to T-Centralen Metro Station. Hotel was also close to supermarkets and restaurants. Clean, comfortable, nice receptionist. Free wifi and with quite fast connection.

The hotel was overall great and good value for money. however our room was very small (we had no problem with it) but just keep in mind if you bring an oversize luggage. Checked out early and nobody was there at the receptionist but there was a sign for key drop, so we just dropped our room’s key there.

The location was great and right next to an underground station which meant we could get anywhere in the city really quickly. We travelled as a couple and the room was perfect for a nights sleep and to get ready and relax for the day The breakfast filled us up for a day of sightseeing and the staff were super handy whenever we needed a question answering I’d definitely recommend this hotel to couples travelling

The room we stayed in was one of the cheaper ones so was a bit small, we didn’t mind that much but for those who wish to have room and some more amenities I’d consider which room to book when you see what’s available. That being said, we enjoyed the room and had no problems

Location, Location, Location 📍 Easy walking distance to all of the key points of interest and many Bars, Restaurants, and Cafes within a few minutes walk. Breakfast had a good selection of offerings and provided a good start to the day. The beds are comfortable and while the bathroom is small the supply of hot water is endless. All of the staff made you feel welcome and only too keen to offer assistance regarding directions and places to visit.

My only negative comment is that the ground-floor windows can't be left open for ventilation at night for personal security reasons.

Birka Hotel is well located to explore Stockholm. 20 min walk to old town, 15 min walk to the cebtral station and close to the underground. The room decoration and equipment was very minimalist but extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable.

As a business traveller, I would have liked to have a small desk or console and a chair to work but the only furniture in the room apart from the bed and the bedside tables are a rack for clothes, a suitcase stand and a tray table with a kettle, cups and some tea/coffee. I didn't see any shared space on the ground floor where I could have worked. That being said, the cleanliness and location of the hotel make up for that and I still think it is good value for money and would probably stay there should I come back for a city break.

It is not my first time at Birka, and I will be coming back. The rooms are absolutely spotless clean. The staff is always welcoming and super friendly. This time the breakfast was included and that was spectacular. There was everything one is looking for when it comes to breakfast. Everything was fresh ans super tasty. Good value for money. It is on the center, do most of the things are within walking distance. Check in and check out are always really quick. The place is also rather quiet with no disturbances. Thank you, Birka for always making my visits to Stockholm a pleasant experience.

The room was as tiny as it looks but we got used to it. The bed was extremely comfortable very unusual design would love this at home. The hotel was just off one of the main streets but still somehow was a very quiet place which i was very happy about. The breakfast was delicious such a good choice and constantly refilled. Its tight for seats so get down a bit early to grab one. Coffee is sooo good too! They work hard to keep this place running so smoothly.

Nothing at all except maybe a shelf in the bathroom for toiletries would be handy

Great central but very quiet location. The rooms were very nicely decorated, it was very recently refurbished. Personal was very nice and spoke English very well (I don’t speak Swedish). The breakfast buffet was also good - lots of options, very Swedish though - bread and cheese and meat and yoghurt and cereals. Would have been nice to have some fruit for in my yoghurt. But considering the very fair price this is nitpicking. Would for sure stay here again!

The location is excellent. It is in the center area of Stockholm but very peaceful. 2-minute walk to the nearest Metro Station which is 1-station away from the Central Station and 2-station away from Gamla Stan. It's even near enough to walk to places like The Royal Palace if you like.

The room is really small. I had to climb across the bed or squeeze myself through the very small gap between the bed and the wall to get to the other side of the bed and the window. There is also no toiletry, you'll need to bring your own.

Great location (about 15min on foot from the old center), friendly staff and clean. Bathroom had a very pleasant floor heating.

Room could have been a bit warmer. When you take a shower you need to put at towel on the floor in order to stop water from exiting the bathroom. If you check in from around 11pm or later you should call them to arrange the collection of key or you can call them when you arrive but then you would probably have to wait about 20 min or so. Non of these were actually a problem for us but someone could mind it…

Absolutely 100% satisfied with Birka Hotel! Everything was just PERFECT! Nothing will beat when you're coming in to your room and the tea and coffee waits there for you! You just only have to put the kettle on and use fresh cups provided! Cups were provided each day of our stay! Bed, linen, towels were fresh and clean. Amenities were just to the high standard. Lovely room desing. And of course, very central location. Approximately 12 min walking to the central train station, 10 min walking to the historical old town and king's palace. 10 sec walking to the nearest metro station. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Thank you Birka Hotel - we will definitely come back again!
