The location was great, in the old part of the city and within walking distance of everywhere we went. The staff were terrific, very helpful, and the breakfast was also very good.

Our room overlooked an alley where some restaurants served evening meals. It was fairly noisy one of the nights we were there, but that was not a problem on the other nights. There were potentially quieter rooms but, because the hotel is so old, the ceilings were very low, which the staff very honestly told us would be a problem for my tall husband - they were right.

Located a few steps away from Plaza Mayor & Puerta del Sol. The room was to our liking & suited our little party of 2 for the week in Madrid. We opted out of breakfast since there are so many places to eat around. Staff is super helpful & friendly. They hold your bags if you arrive early so you can go explore. Special shout-out to Olga & James who gave great advise on where to eat & what tours to take. They also helped mail our postcards to family/friends & made the transaction very easy.

For safety reasons, you have to be buzzed in to enter the hotel. Our key cards didn't work to open the main door. It's great for my peace of mind but not so great when you've got to use the restroom desperately.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Great location near plaza mayor and sol. Room was clean. Shower was amazing! The room had a kettle and mugs (but no tea or coffee provided). Has an elevator. Room was nice and quiet despite the central location.

Some bits of the room were a bit shabby and could do with some maintenance. Thin walls meant I heard lots of noises of other guests moving around and showering. No tea or coffee provided with the kettle. Room was quite small with no room to leave suitcase open, though there was a wardrobe and space to store away the case.

The location of the hotel was wonderful, it was near to everything worth visiting and seeing. The room 219 was very small but it was warm and clean with a wonderful shower, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, a small fridge, sejf, water in a paper bottles, kettle, mugs and glasses, TV set. Good breakfasts - buffet - tasty and varried. Warmly recommended :-) The staff there was polite and very helpful :-) Good job :-)

The TV had only Spanish programs - may it is time to change it?

Beautiful old building. Location is brilliant. Very clean, great shower with nice toiletries and towels. Comfortable bed. We were in the attic which meant it was lovely at quiet in such a busy location. Helpful reception staff. Good breakfast.

We in the attic with low slope ceiling, difficult to move around. Also made the room very dark. Kettle in room but no coffee or tea bags. We picked some up at breakfast so not a huge problem.

The thermostat actually worked to adjust the room temperature, the king size bed was comfortable, and the view of the area around Plaza Mayo was amazing. The receptions were very friendly and helpful. Although it's close to the extremely popular and crowded Puerta del Sol, the hotel location was quiet and conveniently located.

Despite the spacious room, there was only one chair available for sitting. It would be ideal if the room included a tiny table for coffee/tea and 2 chairs for sitting.

Located close to Puerta del Sol and two steps away from Plaza Mayor, the hotel’s location could not be better. The room itself was nice, very clean and modern, with an excellent bathroom and a very comfortable mattress. Because the building is so old the walls are thick so the room was really quiet. There were nice touches like a card & some violetta sweets to mark international women’s day. And there are bikes & helmets available for guests to borrow. The staff are lovely and there are always a couple of people at the front desk, whatever the time. Olga helped us check in for our return flight. James, Jon and Lenin were also very helpful with advice and practical things. We had a really comfortable stay and it made our stay in Madrid a great experience. Thank you!

The hotel's location is the star point. It made it convenient for us to roam around and have a late dinner and get back to the hotel safely. The close by metro station helped to travel conveniently to the major locations for visits. And also many sites of interest are walkable especially the Plaza Mayor, San Miguel Market, Royal Palace of Madrid, Catedral de la Almudena etc. The walk is enriching as you get to see beautiful architecture all around and buy some beautiful souvenirs from some special stores/boutiques. There are so many restaurants and eateries around the hotel location. This made it easy for us to roam around and try food from many different famous taverns and old restaurants. I must mention how helpful the staff is. Especially Olga. She made time to help us book the tickets for the Flamenco show. She even called them and confirmed the location as there was a change of address from the usual place. She gave us few options to choose from with our preferences. Then helped us book the one we finalized. Another incident was when Olga even helped me look for a figurine of Infanta Margaret Theresa (from Les Menina) by searching for stores online. Much appreciation for Olga. Overall, the hotel stay was comfortable and amazing. I would definitely recommend it and would also love to come back for my next trip.

The flush in the toilet is not that great and doesn't work well. The shower also feels a bit difficult with no hand support. Hopefully, these feedback points will be looked into by the hotel.

Location. Location. Location. Room was clean and neat. The bed sheets were clean and soft. Very important for a good rest.

If you are looking for a quite place, without external noises, maybe this is not the place for you. For is, it is normal to have voices and chatting in such a central place. It did not bother us.

The staff were pleasant and helped us navigate our first stay in Madrid. The hotel's location is perfect as we could easily access the historical sites and the city's restaurants easily either by foot or a quick taxi ride. We were very pleased with the complimentary breakfast. My wife and I departed, thinking that we would love to return and continue our Spanish experience.

There were no hooks to hang clothes and towels on in the bathroom. There were also no wine glasses in the room when we arrived.
