Hotel Gran Legazpi

Location is 2-3 minutes work from Legazpi metro station. You can get from there to the city center in 15-25 minutes. The neighborhood itself is self-sufficient with shops and restaurants around. I got a two-bedroom upgrade and the bathroom/shower there is amazing in terms of light. Basically, shower in the balcony section but it's a really nice design decision. Room has a fridge, so you can leave some drink/food bought in nearby supermarkets or bakeries.

Noise. It depends on the neighbors, it was ok but it's definitely not soundproof. Outside noise mostly cancelled by the windows except very loud motorbikes. Breakfast options are quite limited especially for 3-star hotel. One or two types of cheese, ham, bread, some fruits. However, coffee was descent (for the price of breakfast).

The staff were excellent and helpful. We had a problem on arrival in that the room allocated to us smelled of smoke although a non smoking room, but we were upgraded immediately to a smoke free room that was perfect. Parking was charged at 18€ per day, but alongside the hotel in a covered and gated area which was easy to find initially and had good access.

My wife found the bed a little too hard. I was comfortable with the firmness, but it should be said that it was quite firm.

This hotel has a great location, right next to the Legazpi metro station, just a one minute walk. The staff is really nice and helpful and I was surprised that my room was actually much bigger in reality than it seemed in the pictures (I stayed in a single room. The bed was really comfortable, the view from my room was great (of the Matadero cultural center) and both the room and bathroom were very clean. Would definetly stay here again and recommend the hotel to anyone visiting beautiful Madrid.

Great location, a lot of amenities around and fantastic traffic connections. The room was big, with safe and small fridge. Big and clean bathroom. Staff excellent. Continental cold buffet and freshly brewed coffe. The area is bustling with life 24h. The soundproof windows are soundproof. Air condition works perfectly. Nice, firm beds and pillows. Rare find!

Really nice hotel which was very clean and tidy Bathroom was a good size and the shower was hot and powerful. Breakfast is great value and was one of the best of our whole stay. Situated near public transport links and the Matadero which has a great park near the river with a big shopping center within easy walking distance

Location is a little far south, but with the metro that wasn't a problem.

Maybe the location is not ideal

The room I was given upon arrival was below expectations, the bathroom being barelly usable due to its small size and poor design. However, the personnel was very responsive and helpful and I was able to change to a comfortable room the next day. After that, everything was good and I enjoyed my stay in the hotel.

Great location for the Metro system for getting around Madrid. Off street parking. Decent rooms

When I booked the parking was quoted at €10 per day we were charged €18! Not enough pillows and no spare in the cupboard.

The bathroom door was not fit for purpose and also I couldn't open the room window
