Hilton Petaling Jaya

The staff hosting the dining area (breakfast & bar) were exceptional. The nicest people ever, so great with my daughter and so accommodating and welcoming. The room was always cleaned nicely by a very polite staff member who went the extra mile for us. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Almost everything you could imagine was on the menu, and the food was fantastic. Both restaurants were amazing too. Really liked the gym but an air con gym is not usual for me. First day on the treadmill gave me a nosebleed! The cot provided was great, really good quality.

The rooms could use a deep clean. The concierge staff were sometimes unhelpful with certain things. With the renovation, we struggled getting dropped off in taxis, it got hot in the lobby (for drinks) took a bit of a marathon to sort out a few things despite my Malaysian family telling me about the hospitality it felt like sometimes a few people didn't want to help me. But this only made up a very, very small part and generally everything was great. The pool is 1.5m throughout which wasn't great for a toddler.

The staff are so nice and friendly especially Paya Serai’s Irma Yanti. The gym is excellent. The buffet spread for both dinner and breakfast is quite a bit. The room we stayed looked refurbished. The hotel’s housekeeping staff are so dedicated that I saw them checking for dust at common areas and cleaning as they check for perfection! 😳

The bidet in the room, the water pressure is horrible. The common washroom at the lobby area has better pressure. The blinds also are a bit see through at the corner though you close the blinds fully, so caution when travelling with kids. Although the buffet had a huge spread a couple of things require improvement like the fried rice is too dry, Soto ayam soup’s spices tasted raw it must ‘tumis’ properly & the pastry is horribly dry. I suggest steam baking for the pastries. The hotel is still under renovation since last year and the pool unfortunately is still under renovation during my stay.

The staff v friendly n professional.

Air conditioning 18 degree and not cool. The renovation make inconvenience. When take taxi' or Grab go to Hilton, the driver can't find the location. When I took taxi from kl central went to Hilton pj the driver told me Hilton closed ord. No such hotel. But I reply Hilton is v famous n stable in hoteline . Furthermore When driver used Persiaran Barat can't find any clear sign board show The Hilton Hotel. Some building they put the screen digital board show the name of buildings. But Hilton Hotel none. When the driver sent me to Persiaran Barat they will ask same question are u sure tis is hotel..

This is my second time with Hilton PJ ..the first time was years ago for a seminar and I didn't have the chance to enjoy the property and facilities. This time I was here to just chill ...Dolce Far Niente. ..and it's the best hotel ever to do that ... Although there was renovations but it was not at all disturbing .. upon arrival I was greeted warmly by this tall gentleman who promptly took my bags and went to get me a drink. He was genuinely pleasant and waiting patiently for Front Desk to do the paperwork .. The Front desk was also very kind ..I arrived at about 11 ish and check in being 3 pm. The staff actually apologised for not being able to check me in and invited me to the executive lounge to rest up ..again apologising and kept reassuring they will try to get the room ready ASAP.. As I was escorted to the 21 st floor .. this kind gentleman started sharing about how they are upgrading to make our stay more pleasant and as we passed the newly renovated dining rooms he showed it off to me then told me about the 24 hr gym .. what a wonderful ambassador !! Then more pleasant experience await me .. the nice lady by the counter at the executive lounge proceeded to make my wait so pleasant . The room was very comfortable although I was hoping we had the mini bar available but it was OK as I could go to the 21 floor for drinks when I want to. Throughout my stay. 7 to 9 July 2023. I.have not met any staff of Hilton PJ who is not proud of what they do and so happy with their job . The staff at the breakfast downstairs were so attentive I was rather embarrassed when I was feeling like a lot of appetite so I didn't finish the food on my plate.. he was so concerned and immediately asked if the food is not good... then Mr Teh Tarik who proudly told me he made the drink and promised it will be good and it was awesome ..so good I had like 4 cups of it !! Oops.

My stay was too short !!

Breakfast so variety.. Paid rooms for 2 incl breakfast but my 10 yo child can also join the bfast without need to pay extra.. So comfortable bed.. Got 2 access card. And extra one given for the room.. So no need to off aircond n everything before going out.. Convenience for us yg selalu keluar masuk bilik..access card not required in lift like some hotels.. So easy, especially when our hands full no need to find card in the bag n so on. Towel provided - bath, face, and for hair.. Think so la sbb byk towel ada.. So selesa.. Shower gel, shampoo, hand lotion and hand wash liquid provided.. Best sbb btol besar tp attached kat wall la..

Parking-too small space entering the parking lot basement..location parking not found at the first... Have to stop car and ask staff at lobby.. Upon check in not been informed by staff that if paying parking using debit crd also must be validated at counter in lobby to get rm3/entry. So first day parked been chrged rm 24 for 4hrs..woww..after that asked staff, then only we know the procedure..

room was spacious, clean and comfortable. walls are solid and u won’t hear guests next door. staffs were friendly. parking is ample. food was fantastic!

there only one lift from the basement. guests pays MYR3 per entry, credit or debit only. no TnG. no lift security so anyone can go up to any floor. no long bath. pool is 5ft, a little too deep yet very small. kids need to wear life vest. staff at the pool need to loosen it a little bit. kept his eye at us like an eagle. got a little uncomfortable. he gave my daughter a warning when she jumped into the pool. like whaaa… but.. he was doing his job.

The room is clean and nice, strategic location

I was suppose to receive king deluxe plus as per my booking, but I was informed during the check in that the west wing was under renovation so I was downgraded into standard room. When I ask about the charges the front desk says it will be charging the same? I have many question mark and lucky there is a manager come and assists on this. I am not pleasant with the first response and answer by the front desk which I feel is not responsible...

Although they are having upgrading/renovation process, but they are still able to make the check-in process goes smoothly. The staffs are warm and friendly including the housekeeping lady who is in-charge for the 10th floor. Room and toilet are clean. Came here for a 2-Days training course, the lunch served was superb with variety of foods! The morning & afternoon tea break snacks were nice too! Overall had a pleasant stay!

The bathroom only with half glass panel which is not enough to block the water from splashing out.

The special anniversary decoration by the housekeeping staff. I’d informed the hotel that my husband and I are visiting the hotel after 20 years we had our wedding reception there. The hotel took note and made us feel very welcome. Overall the hotel staff are exceptional! Very warm and helpful.

Our room looked a bit tired and smelled a bit musty when we arrived but improved when the aircon was turned on. Can’t remember the type of room we stayed in - probably a standard room. The room was spacious, had a very comfortable (firm) mattress, large bathroom and lovely l’occitane toiletries.

Our 3D2N stay was great. Upon check in until the check out, everything went on smoothly. the staffs are all very friendly. Upon arrival , the staff at the front desk explained well all our questions. Next the supporting staffs guided us up to our room. That itself made our day. The staffs in the restaurant were also very friendly. Variety of breakfast including malay, chinese, indian and western. Not to forget the housekeeping staffs also done great job. As requested for our wedding anniversary, simple deco and a piece of cake was provided by the hotel.

Parking area should be upgraded. Especially during our stay, i guess there is some maintenance work going on in certain parking area. best if they can subside the parking fees for hotel guest. Or maybe have a flat rate for a whole day instead of flat rate per entry. As there is already service tax charges quite high compared to other equivalent hotels.
