The key selling point is the bath, which has space for 3 and then 2 shower areas if you would rather not wash onsen style. It was clean and taking a bath after walking around all day is so much better than a shower.

The mattress is an inch thick with a very hard bottom in the pods, so as a side sleeper, it was really uncomfortable. Pods are hot and the fans inside suck more than blow anything cool in. You need the fan on just so your pod can be not stale. Also, it's literally somehow an uphill both ways to get to this place. Feels like the station is 20 minutes away (more like 12) but with luggage in the hot sun, it was not fun. Don't recommend for long stays.

Japanese hospitality- staff was very friendly and responsive. The property is well-maintained, clean and simple. I love the amenities provided for all guests (kimono and mini skin care). The capsule is equipped with USB charging, clock and light adjustment, also curtain. Toilets are available in every room, but shower was in the 2nd floor only.

The hike! The rooms are located in the third and fourth floor and there is no lift in the building. I was lucky to have traveled light, but will definitely not bringing myself up with heavy luggages. I arrived at 10pm and the onsen is already closed - sadly was not able to experience this amenity as I had to leave early in the morning.

The public bath, especially the lighting. It was very relaxing. It was very clean when I used it. There are big enough lockers to keep the valuables safe. I did not use it, but there is a coin raundry facility on the ground floor.

It is a bit of walk from the stations with a suit case and if it rains. It was a bit hard to get a reply before 5PM, check-in time, to ask to leave my luggage.

It was very clean, and the staff were lovely. The Onsen style washroom was amazing! And there is also a pamper room which has several stations to wash and CURL your hair. Curling wands and hairdryers provided by the hostel! Lockers are provided by the hostel for each capsule which is convenient. 10 minute walk from Shibuya station which is good, there is also a smaller station which is even closer! I didn’t use this one though as I found it more convenient to just walk to Shibuya, save switching lines more times than necessary.

Just 2 things, it would get a little cold during the night as there is just a heater for the entire room, so the capsules could get cold. Nothing a pair of woolly socks wouldn’t fix though. The washroom and powder rooms are only open 4pm-10pm, this is for cleaning. So if you want a wash during the morning you’ll have to wait until evening. I understand they need cleaning, however it would be ideal for guests if they were only closed a couple of hours during the day when no one is there, maybe 12-4 for example.

Exactly what I was looking for - an affordable place to stay in a central location while I was in Tokyo for a combined work/leisure trip for about a week. It's only a 10 mins walk to Shibuya station, so it's easy to get around Tokyo. The Shinsen area itself is pretty nice too, there are lots of cute little restaurants and it's only ~15mins walk from the posh Daikanyama. The capsule bed was wider and more comfortable than I expected. I was able to sleep well during my stay. Inevitably there are some sounds from other travellers leaving early in the morning etc. but they do provide earplugs, and I didn't find the noise level too disruptive. The bath facilities are very nice. I love that they have a sento-style tube, and a very nice dressing area with free toiletries - it felt quite luxurious for this price range.

The combined lounge/eating area is small and not very well-equipped. There is a microwave and a kettle (but no sink), but no utensils at all, so you can basically only eat takeout or konbini food at the hotel. It's not a huge issue because there are several konbini nearby, and most of the time I'd eat out anyway. But if you stay for longer than a couple of days, it can be a little annoying that it's not possible to do even the most basic meal prep.

The capsule was spacious, there was enough space for us to place our luggage in our rooms, everyone here were respectful and quiet. I stayed here 2 months and never used ear plugs. Also, no check in and out everyday if you’re staying consecutively.

No elevator. You can only take shower at night, not in the daytime. Do not stay here for too long like me, it’s not about this hostel, it’s a problem every capsule hotel would have — you cannot get enough sunlight, and your biological clock might get negatively affected.

I can only recommend it. This was such good value for money! The public bath was so pretty and so cosy. I went to an expensive modern Ryokan after visiting Tokyo and the shower chair and bucket was plastic. The bucket here was wooden like the pictures and the bath was so nice and beautiful! They also give you a Yukata upon arrival. My friend and I got different colours so it made it feel more individual and homey. The colours were so vibrant I just enjoyed wearing it soi much. There is a very nice dressing room with more lockers if you want to lock away some stuff while going to the baths. The lounge is also really cozy with floor sitting arrangement and plenty of reading material and tips for things to see or do in Shibuya. Checking out is also very simple. You just dump the key card in the post box as you leave.

Observe there is a locker for a good size weekend bag or backpack but if you bring big luggage you'll either have to leave it in the dorm or store it elsewhere. Not really a problem imo though. Just pack less and use coin laundry or store the big bags somewhere else.

Location couldn't be more perfect, it's a 10-15 min walk to the Shibuya crossing and station, yet resides on a calm street with lots of charming food places, a 7-Eleven and Lawson. I love the Yukatas we were given to use while in the hostel and the bathhouse was great! Great utilities and the pods we're spacious enough.

The futon was extremely thin so it was uncomfortable to sleep on. If you're someone who plans to party late night in shibuya and wake up later, you can't use the bathhouse nor the powder room between 10 and 17, which was a bit of a turn off for me.

A great capsule hotel experience. The sentou (Japanese-style public bathoroom) is available until 10am in the morning and everything was prepared (towels, tooth brush, hair brush, everything you might need), so you don't need to bring anything except for a change of clothes and make-up tools.

The location is slightly far from Shibuya station, and there is a slope you need to climb if you are departing from JR Shibuya. Alternatively, you can choose to take an Inokashira line train to Shinsen station from Shibuya station, which may be more convenient.

The bath and dressing room are amazing! Everything is very clean and well cared for, and the bath amenities are great quality and always available. The property provides a nice robe as well. Check-in was smooth and the capsule is a nice size with light options and an alarm clock which is very convenient. The two lockers provided give enough space to lock away valuables, and there is a small space in the corner for larger bags so storage is not an issue.

The bed mattress is thin, maybe not the best for people with back issues but ok for a short stay. The drape covering the entry to the capsule does not completely block out the light so an eye mask is recommended at night.
