The personal was really nice and friendly. The place was really great, making us feel in a family pension more than in a random hotel (which was like staying in an authentic place). Special mention to the owner who is so nice and friendly and to one of the room maid who is so cute with her smiling way to greet people (which is really nice in the morning)

Nothing that I didn't like. The only thing I must mention is actually about booking.com : the message system allowed some phishing attempt to appear, luckily the hotel was fast enough to tell me it was not a message from them. Though, once again, it's not connected to the hotel but to booking.com here

We really enjoyed the traditional style of the room, we slept in futons and the room was lined with tatami, which was lovely. There was a working air conditioner, a small TV, and slippers. Quite limited ammenities but workable. We had an ensuite (toilet), but had to share the shower with a few rooms, which was fine as the shower was right next door. There were other shared toilets throughout the hotel. About a 15 minute walk from Shibuya Station. Hot water and water refill were available downstairs.

The room was extremely small (or maybe we had huge suitcases!), but it was hard to fully open the suitcases. However, we understand that is pretty standard for most hotels. Just beware when booking this hotel if you are one to pack a lot like me.

- This place has cozy, traditional vibes. Me and my bf stayed here for 5nights and we really enjoyed it. 😊 Especially the private bath was really good. You can use it in specific time, whenever the private bath is not in use by someone else. It was very clean and the water temperature was perfect! 👍🏻 - The facility is very clean in general, organized and easily approachable. (15min by walk from Sibuya station) - The staffs are always at the counter 24/7. So whenever you have inquiries or questions, you know where to reach. Also they are super polite and friendly! 🩷

We loved everything. Amazing hotel which we found on Booking. We messaged the hotel saying we could arrive later than expected and they replied in no time at all, and our late arrival was not a problem. The hotel is within walking distance of Shibuya Scamble crossing, and it is so peaceful and quiet (please keep in mind we are quite young, so the walk was no issue, but there are many taxis too) The front of the hotel was stunning, and made for great photos - we arrived at night and it was lit up beautifully. We received a warm welcome and staff who provided information in English. Staff were very friendly and kind 😊 The room was clean and comfortable. We stayed in a japanese twin room. There was Tatami (straw floor) and futon. We also had shoji (paper) doors to the seating area, these doors were beautiful with the moonlight. From the windows we could see the snowfall and local streets. The room had heating/air con, and was very cosy despite the snow outside. Our room had a private toilet and bath. The staff were wonderful and awoke early to greet us when checking out. Also, there are 24h convenience stores nearby; these were very convenient for snacks and such. We will be staying here again!

We loved everything.

Clean and quiet. This was the best value I found in Tokyo. We did not want to stay in tiny capsule hotels. You are a bus ride away from the Shibuya station. From there you can go anywhere. The owner is friendly. We were happy with our stay.

People should know these are extremely hard Japanese beds (futons) which are just a couple pads on the floor. I had to request more padding and more pillows which they happily provided. Also, there is only one table for two people to put their things. So I spread my stuff out on the floor in my room. Also, they had no flexibility on early or late check out. But that was true everywhere in Japan.

The location was exceptional! Short walk and your in the famous Shibuya crossing, close to restaurants and cafés! What stood out for me is the warm hospitality of the family who runs it! Also the little details like when cleaners noticed I have been using room towels under my pillow to elevate my pillow at night I was pleasently surprised to see extra pillows on my side of the bed! Thank you hotel Fukudaya family, you made our Tokyo stay so memorable 🤗😊

There is no bad comment only the best experience 😊

This was my first trip to Japan. I really like the traditional Japanese style. It was a great first impression of the country. Close to Shibuya Station (15-20 min walk or 8 min by bus) but far enough it was quiet and peaceful at night. The traditional japanese bath (onsen) was a nice way to relax at the end of the day.

I didn't know the traditional japanese shared bath was one group at a time (or single user). You might have to wait to use it. But you have a toilet and sink in your room so it was not too bad. I just imagined they had a bigger bath with separate men and women sections. But I suppose it was nice you have the whole bath to yourself (or your group). The door locks so you don't have to worry about strangers coming in suddenly.

A more traditional stay and not the hustle of a massive hotel. Room was nice Japanese style. TV is tiny but I did not use. Hot bath was just perfect.

No outlet near futon and no lamp near futon bed. I did ask for extension cord to plug in my phone. it was provided. My old American body found it difficult to get up and down from the floor futon. The ultra slippery Japan house slippers make it ultra dangerous to climb and descend stairs due to Americans do not know how to not slide out of these slippers.

It's a beautiful, clean hotel. I really enjoyed my traditional room with Tatami mat bed and traditional look walls. It was lovely and kept very clean. The onsen in house was amazing after a cold day walking around Tokyo. Fabulous!

The location is a good 15-20 minutes walk from Shibuya Station so be prepared for that. Also there aren't really any restaurants within a 5 min radius, plenty further away closer to Shibuya, but only 7/11 close by, a very quiet neighbourhood.

close to shibuya station. 15 mins if you walk but via local bus is around 5 mins. close to family mart and the location is peaceful the bedroom is just okay, no free amenities aside from free water, bath towel and use of slippers, but ofcourse the price is way cheaper than most business hotels. I also liked the hospitality of the hotel staff.

I just hope the management would implement some rules regarding noise. like from 9pm onwards the tourist staying at the hotel must lower their voices. and for guests staying here, please just be mindful and respectful. don't shout and talk loudly especially at night. I know you guys are having fun and most japanese can't directly reprimand you but pls just be courteous and mindful of your actions. use toilet slippers and dispose tissue properly! don't leave your shoes at the genkan, there are shoe storage that you can use to put your shoes.
