the Figo

The room was spacious enough for two people. I appreciated the room's brightness and its home-like design. The ample closet space was a plus, as we stayed for 5 nights. Free beverages such as coffee, beer, and bottled water were provided. The staff were kind and helpful. I left a personal item in my room and only realized it two days after checking out. The hotel staff assisted me with my lost item, which I really appreciated.

The shower room's drainage was poor, causing water to drain slowly. If you enjoy long showers, you might find yourself standing in a small pond.

This was our first time to HK and the hotel worked perfectly for us! We stayed in one of the suites and although small and compact it was perfect! It has a great decor and an easy friendly vibe! We particularly loved happy hour although we were able to help ourselves to drinks in the fridge throughout the day too :) the staff were exceptional and so friendly too! If we ever come back to HK we would happily stay here again

Only downside was the size of the room as it was quite small and the bathroom is situated right in the middle with frosted screens but as long as you and your partner doing mind that then there was nothing to fault!

We recently stayed a few nights at the Figo (formerly Hotel LBP) in Sheung Wan and were very pleased with our experience. This property was rebranded and given a massive make-up late last year. It now has an almost southwest feel to it with orange earth tone colours, desert furniture and cacti placed throughout the property. It is a nice look and feel compared to so many of the sterile and drab midrange hotel setups around the city. Check-in went smoothly and timely and we were up to our room in just a few minutes. Lobby area on the 4th floor beyond check-in desk is decorative and relaxing. They have a coffee bar, plenty of small tables, window side seating, a long table with a few games, large screen television as well as a small outdoor seating area. There is also a gym as well as a small outdoor area with a doggie pool. We stayed in one of Figo's Premium Suites. Nothing fancy or upscale. Instead, think cute, quaint with perhaps a bit of a college apartment feel to it. The suite included a small bedroom with desk, closet, a bit of room for luggage, flatscreen TV and a generally comfortable bed. There was also a studio style living room with minimal kitchenette setup including basic cutlery, glasses, bowls, fridge, kettle and espresso machine. You could do some very basic food prep here but not any real cooking. There was a tiny two seater table fixed to the wall, small round coffee table. a second flatscreen TV. There were enough electrical outlets, good lighting modes, working A/C, wifi and room safe. Tiny bathroom which separated the living room from the bedroom another clever configuration but might be a tight fit for larger guests. In the end, we felt that suite is a good option for a longer stay option providing more space for guests. The limited kitchenette means that you should expect to dine out or do delivery mostly which is perfectly fine as the Sheung Wan and Sai Ying Pun districts are loaded with quality restaurants, coffee shops and bars.

Living room included a two seater sofa. To be fair, the sofa cushions were in bad shape, we both found ourselves sinking inward to the middle, meaning only one person could sit properly and it was still not very comfortable. This should be mended for the benefit of future guests.

Love that the room is true to pictures and very clean and well maintained! Hotel reception was super helpful, Evelyn helped us order traditional HK desserts using her phone delivery app on one of the evenings. Also love that you get free bottled water (and some soft drinks/beers) and can fill up your water bottle at the hotel lounge any time you want! There is also Happy Hour everyday 530pm to 630pm with free snacks, wines and liquors! We also love the neighborhood, it’s very local, next to supermarket and near to many great food options!

It is relatively far from Sheung Wan MTR, around 8 mins walk.

The location is near central without being too crowded or too noisy. There are a lot of small parks, small shops, and independent coffee shops in the area. The nearby Sai Ying Pun MTR station also has a lift which is very useful when hauling luggage. There is also a bus stop nearby and the tram is a short walk from the hotel. The room and its bathroom is huge for Hong Kong. The common area with free flowing coffee, soda, beer and snacks is also a nice place to hang out in. Drinking water and ice is available to refill water bottles so no need to purchase from convenience stores. Staff from reception to housekeeping are all very accommodating and kind.

All of the pillows provided were too soft. It would be nice if they provide one firm and one soft pillow by default. The floor was a bit dirty when we first came in but it might be because of the material used. Slippers were provided so i guess all is well.

good value for money bar with complimentary water, coke, beer, coffee and tea by the reception lots of seating options and balcony by reception to hang out with friends who were also staying at the hotel room was cleaned every day and kept very clean by housekeeping, housekeeping also made sure we never ran out of toothpaste great shower loved the area, had a lot of restaurants, bars and shops ironing board and iron in the room

room walls and door was thin, if guests talked in the corridor it was loud in the room room is quite small, but seems standard size for hongkong our window looked directly into the living room of someone else (again probably normal in hongkong)

so welcoming, so kind and so beautiful. not only is the service of the staff so amazing, but my whole experience here has been great. the rooms are beyond impressive, the cleanliness is up to an incredibly high standard, it’s in a perfect location easy to access everything. the staff in particular make the experience even more special, they’re always open to helping you and are so welcoming and kind. a special shout-out to Venezia and Evelyn for giving exceptional service and making me and my partners stay amazing. I will definitely be retuning here soon!

The location of Figo was fantastic - a little out of the hustle and bustle of downtown but so close to everything - lots of great cafes, shops, bars in walking distance and close to downtown. Easy access to MTR stations. Room was small (to be expected in Hong Kong!) but nicely cleaned every day with fresh bottled water etc. Staff were so friendly and helpful. The communal living/dining area with balcony is great and you can help yourself to a drink. We visited the bar/restaurant across the road at KonFusion a few times - excellent live music! Would definitely recommend Figo :)

We had booked the Magnolia suite as we were staying in Hong Kong for 10 days and wanted a bit more space. There was plenty of room in the suite for us. It was a great space with a fridge, plates, cutlery and a sink in the kitchenette area. The shower room was clean and practical. The bedding was changed regularly but not everyday as we chose. The wardrobe was big enough for us and an iron and ironing table were available in the room. The hotel only provides dry cleaning but there is a laundry service just across the road which was good value and handy. The hotel has a fridge in reception with free drinks and also operates a happy hour in the evening with drinks and snacks which was great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We are bound to go back to Hong Kong and would definitely book The Figo again.

The chairs for the breakfast table were not the most comfortable but the sofa and armchair were fine. We could not work out how to use the TV, it seems to only have Netflix available, but I am sure the staff would have helped if we had asked.

Location was very close to city center. Lots of great local restaurants and cafes. Room was cozy. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Bathroom was a bit to small and drainage in shower was a bit slow (took a while for water to completely go down the drain). Seemed there was some construction works going, so the ground floor in building was partially covered by flatten cardboard. A huge dumpster outside also kind of blocked view of the building.
