Butterfly on Wellington Boutique Hotel Central

I like the location and the fact they have the WIFI device, is hard to connect sometimes when i travel this was just easy, the staff was very helpful and kind.

That they dont offer breakfast or any kitchen service

Location - perfect for exploring the restaurants and bars (in the area of Hollywood street and alleyways), close to shopping like IFC, Central and Hkg station mtr etc, best value hotel in terms of price, location and room size/amenities, walked to hotel from airport express train via IFC mall pedestrian bridge

Location was great, right at Wellington Street and fairly close proximity to Hong Kong station (for HK AirPort Express), Central and Sheung wan mtr. The service staff were great. They were warm and polite and processed the check in and out quickly. The bed was comfortable.

The furniture were very dated and the property in general probably needs a refresh. The rooms were very old looking. The location although was good, was ok for strong young people to pull up the luggage but probably not for elderly as this was at the mid levels.

We loved the location. It can't be beat. While there are many factors that made our stay enjoyable- we liked how clean, tidy, and prompt the cleaning staff was and how comfortable the room is. Great mattress, pillows, and bedding. This little hotel is a 5 star luxury mini hotel. It meets every need that a person has. Great front desk team, awesome cleaning crew, fantastic location, TOP NOTCH hotel! We stayed in the Pure Air Signature Room with Free 4G Pocket Wi-Fi Device for 5 nights, and it was worth every penny spent. Excellent wifi, excellent air-conditioning, huge bathroom. Butterfly on Wellington will be our permanent hotel and home any time we come to Hong Kong❤️

GREAT ambiance and AWESOME staff! Location is unbeatable!!! Literally steps away from the Central-Mid-Levels Escalators, Central Market, famous hawkers, as well as 3 main metro stations that can take you straight to the airport/Expo, up and down the HK island, as well as across the harbour. Having 24 hour reception was also very reassuring. They were also very accommodating when it comes to early check-ins. My flight arrived early in the morning and I was able to check into my room as soon as I arrived before noon. No frill rooms but very clean and well maintained. Having more channels or the option to cast to TV would be a plus but not a big deal.

The walls are very thin. I could easily hear all the laughing and coughing next door. So if you are a light sleeper or someone who values great privacy, it's something to consider. But since I was out and about most of the day anyways and each room also came with earplugs and eye masks, this was not a huge concern for me. For this location and price, I'm willing to make this compromise.

The hotel is well situated in the Central area of Hong-Kong, and in early reach of the MTR and Mid-level escalater and the Ding-dings. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful and spoke good English. The hotel is very close to many great restaurants. The staff were very helpful in organising a taxi to take us to the Airport as we only speak a few words of Cantonese. A lovely hotel and would love to return one day.

It's a long way down from the 20th floor for someone with vertigo🤣

Location, location and location! I was 2 to 5 minutes walk to every eatery I wanted to try. The daipaidong stalls are just across the the narrow Wellington street. Graham street market offers traditional soy sauces and cheap imported fruits. Mak’s Noodles, Tsim Chai Kei, Yat Lok Roast Goose etc are 2 minutes walk away. The hotel is next to the mid levels escalator so Tai Kwun is 5 minutes from hotel.

Privacy is limited as the window is facing the building across. I could see my reflection on that building’s glass so had to draw the day curtains all day when I’m in.

The location cannot be beat. Center Central-- close to bars, restaurants, shops. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. We also really enjoyed the pocket wifi that was included in our room rate. There were plenty of electrical outlets in the room and the lighting was very good.

Unfortunately, we were not informed until we were already in our room that there are major construction projects all around the hotel. The view from the window was of a construction site, and all along the street outside was construction as well. While it didn't really impact our stay, it would have been nice if this was communicated in advance. They did provide a dehumidifier but even with that and the aircon blasting, it was fairly humid in the room.

The location for this hotel is superb for bar/resto scene in HK. Located near all the latest bar and restaurants. Conveniently located near public transportation stops/station. Even though near central happenings the room is still quiet from noises. Reception staff were friendly and efficient. Size and room were very good for the price that we paid. Very safe and secured hotel. Nice and clean with all the amenities you need for a city hotel. I would definitely stay in this hotel again next time I drop by HK.

Would be better if they had more cutleries in room. But not really big deal but would be great.

The hotel was very well located near all of the key sights that we wanted to see around Hong Kong island - the peak tram, the star ferry, etc. It is also very close to Hong Kong and Central Stations enabling easy access to the airport and other locations around the city via the MTR. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and able to answer every question we had. The room was clean and whilst not massive was perfectly sized for a couple with two large bags. Overall we had a very enjoyable experience staying at the Butterfly on Wellington Street hotel.
