Hotel Am Moosfeld

A several positive impressions: 1. Location - easy to reach centre of Munich, exit from Munich also 2. Reception -polite, useful staff. Quick check in / out 3. Parking posibilities - hotel's parking or nearby streets. Easy to find parking with no payment. 4. Breakfast - very good offer. Above standard. Cleaning of tables quick. Staff is great. The price is included in price of the room. 5. Internet speed - very good for the hotel in Germany; between 45 - 55 MBps in all hotel's areas 6. Room - it is not a new hotel, but: - room was clean - bed good quality - room is good furnished - bathroom - daily changed towels, clean; visible effort to keep high cleanless standard My final conclusion - great value for money.

Breakfast is great, we love the cheese and German breads. Restaurant service is great, especially in the breakfast time.

Staff is super nice, our room was comfortable and clean. We traveled with a medium sized dog that was very nicely accepted by the hotel! They even let the dog join us in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is a pure joy! Soo good and the service is great!

Dinner was little bit sad and tasteless, not to mention expensive for what we got on out plates.

Single room was quite a good size with lovely outlook onto trees and big windows that open, and bed comfortable. I needed more blankets and that was attended to quickly with care. Breakfast was pretty good fresh and plentiful though I wished for more variety during my stay. Restaurant on premises quite reasonable prices and pretty good with lovely staff.

I would have loved more information in room about hotel and where to find things like gym pool etc, and some English tv channels. Also a kettle in room would be awesome though this seems to be the norm in Germany not to offer this.

We stayed only one night, so cannot give a full review. But for one night it was a positive experience, we even had the chance to try the swimming pool right after breakfast. There is also a gym, but i have not tried it. Sauna was closed in the morning. Rooms where good, location quiet, parking was full in the Hotel, but slots are available on the street, which is in a residential area. Breakfast was good, with broad selection of salty and sweets (a bit less the latter).

Restaurant was a bit expensive, and some dishes not so good. Avoid the pizza as it was not good at all (especially for the price it was sold). The snichtzel was good.

The hotel was clean, neat and modern. The room was delightful and the bathroom perfectly adequate. The bed was large as was the room. Breakfast was excellent - a mixture of continental, with the usual cereal, fruit, bread, yoghurt, cheeses, cold meats etc but also hot dishes like sausages eggs, bacon etc. The staff were particularly friendly and all spoke excellent English. The location is outside the city centre, in a quiet suburb, 700m from the Metro station. However, as we had a car, we did not use public transport. Parking is on site and free. However, if the parking area is full, there is plenty of free parking on the road outside. There are not many restaurants in the area, but the hotel has its own restaurant in the basement. It is excellent. The food was outstanding, and the ambience perfect. Prices were very reasonable for the quality. Staff are friendly and all speak English. They even gave us a complimentary pina colada after our meal as a "thank you for your custom"! The swimming pool, sauna and gym are in a separate building next to the main hotel and are free. The facilities, including an outside area with loungers, is all free for guests. The pool is excellent - indoor, so not dependent on the weather, and a good size for swimming, around 1.7m deep throughout and a constant 24°C so suitable for all the family. The sauna is in a separate area accessible from the pool, and has a Finnish sauna with dry heat, as well as a less hot steam room. Plentiful towels and showers are provided free. If you are American (and not used to public nudity!), or a little shy, beware that Germans and Austrians especially, as well as many others, prefer to be completely naked in the saunas, and showers, and they are all mixed sex. So if you are unhappy about a communal shower with both men and women naked, then there is no reason why you cannot remove your swimming costume, and wrap a towel round you, and putting your costume back on to shower.

Nothing. The only slight criticism would be that the hotel didn't have air conditioned rooms. Thus would it normally he a problem, but as we were in the middle of a heat wave, a cool oasis would have been a good place to which we could retreat.

Good quality hotel with nice, large and comfortable rooms. I especially liked the bathroom which was large and had a proper shower with a sliding glass door. The standout for me was the breakfast. Fresh and delicious with so much to choose from. Your eyes will be bigger than your stomach! Also, there is a large and modern shopping mall two stops on the U bahn away from the hotel.

Not a very central location. It's about a 10 minute walk to the nearest S and U bahn station which takes you to the city center. Also, there are no shops within about a 400 meter radius of the hotel, so you can't just pop out to get a drink or snack. There was no fridge in the room.

Room was comfortable and the breakfast spread was quite good! Appreciate that they were able to accommodate an early check-in. It was about 20-30 mins away (via public transport) from the famous tourist attractions. One thing to keep in mind is that they don't provide lunch options (there are alternative options nearby, so not a big deal, but online reviews get a bit confusing as this was offered prior to Covid)

The carpeting and sofa look and feel a bit outdated and don't align with the expectation of a 4 star hotel.

The location is pretty great - the hotel is situated near the train station and the subway, but it's still not too crowded or busy. The hotel was well equipped, the lobby was really warm and welcoming, and the room was quiet and pretty decent. The bed was very comfortable. The reception is open until pretty late in the evening, which is a plus. The staff was nice, friendly, helpful, and very accommodating.

You have access to the pool, but it's not too ideal if you don't know how to swim. Also, the water could be hotter, imo (27⁰). I would have appreciated a better cleaning, especially behind the curtains. Soap should be refilled more often. The hotel offers some vegan options such as bread, jam, cereal, and milk alternatives, but that's pretty much it. I would suggest adding some plant-based yogurt as well.

Very far from Airport People allowed to be naked in saunas and it was hard when I'm the only girl in a room full of young naked men who don't speak English Saunas get filled fast, so is the swimming pool Room on 1st floor of guest houses had window right in the alley and everyone looked inside as they passed by
