Hotel Monopol - Central Station

The hotel is located at an ideal location, it is facing the Frankfurt main station, so you just have to cross the street. It is highly visible for a first time visitor. And the front desk person was surprisingly hospitable for this class of hotel. It was almost a pleasant surprise. Also shops and restaurants are in neighborhood, while it is not the cleanest or safest area, though. WiFi worked fine.

I believe everything is relative to what we pay for. In that regards, I had no complaint at all. It is a room for one night stay to catch a train from the main station, and literally, it is 2 to 3 minutes walk to the train station. There are no pedestrian crossings in front of the hotel, so either go left or right to cross the street, if I can say so as a spoiled person.

The property is friendly with welcome drink and free mini bar, easy preregistration option to facilitate quick checkin and helpful staff. It is a good central location. It was easy to the train and not expensive (about 30 euros) by car in the early morning.

The central location is not the greatest area and directions to the hotel were not the clearest so I went by on the other side of the road without seeing it. Also, the room temperature was overly warm (albeit on a snowy day) and not able to be adjusted.

Location, friendliness and professionalism of the reception, housekeeping and breakfast staff, superb internet, great breakfast in addition to coffee/drinks/cake at the reception area and free drinks bar in the room that is replenished daily, printout service at the reception.

There is only a bathroom mirror. The room should have a mirror and a room safe. When we queried, we were told we could make use of the reception safe. As our room was near the elevator, the corridors tended to get noisy at times but otherwise, it was a very pleasant stay.

This hotel is great for the money, 4 stops from FRA airport on the S8 or S9 train.and is literally across the road from the station.I know there's lots of negative views in regards to the area but I never felt vulnerable. This hotel is also 2 stops from the Christmas market on the U4 or U5 On arrival, you receive a glass of Processo (mon alcoholic available too), and there is tea coffee and cake available until 6 pm every day. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, and L'Occataine soap shampoo conditioner and body lotion provided. Breakfast was a full service of cereals toast eggs bacon sausages, etc, I will definitely return to this hotel for next. years christmas market in Frankfurt

Located right opposite the main station in Frankfurt this Hotel is ideal for those arriving into Frankfurt late or leaving very early. Hotel is pretty basic but clean and the wifi is good. Showers always work well and water is always hot. Reception is open 24/7 and staff always obliging. Rooms have a mini bar with free water and fruit juice. Always my Hotel of choice when travelling through Frankfurt.

The area is not the best, especially for women travelling alone, but that is the same with the area around most large European train stations. I arrived at 10.30pm and it was fine but just be aware.

What a lovely hotel! It's been such a nice experience since I entered the place. In general, the place is very well kept and its vintage decorations (chandeliers, curtains, etc.) are in excellent condition, as well as clean. Even the elevator smells clean, which might be weird to point out, but it's something you usually don't notice in hotels. As per my room, the decoration, once more, deserves 5 stars (see the photos) and the tidiness another 5. It is spacious and you can tell that although the essence of the hotel has been maintained, it has been renovated. The fact that they offer toiletries from L'Occitane is also a plus worth mentioning. Bed is super comfy and you get two options of pillows with different heights, which is appreciated. Bath robes are also offered. And there's air conditioning. Regarding the staff, they're also super nice and willing to help. The man at the reception was especially sweet. Thanks a lot!

Everything was good.

We stayed 2 nights at Hotel Monopol and highly recommend it. The location is perfect, very central.  The furnishings are a bit old fashioned, but all you need is there. Our double room was cozy, clean, had a very comfortable bed and the heating system worked very well. Bathroom was spacious and had all amenities needed. Very nice detail was minibar with free drinks which they filled every day and a kettle with selection of coffee and tea bags. The breakfast was great, it had a good buffet with a wide variety of hot and cold meals. Also till 18:00 they had a free hot drinks and snacks in a lobby which was a very nice detail too. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a great stay in this hotel and would definitely come back.

 I couldn´t mention a thing that we didn’t like in this hotel but maybe for improvement I would say that hotel needs a bit of maintenance. For example, a hanger in our room was about to fall out and curtain was a bit torn. Also, we were surprised that in the area there were many homeless and weird people in general which we could see is significant social issue in the train station area but it has nothing to do with hotel. 

Great location! Perfect way from the airport by train to Hbf Frankfurt and only around 100m to the hotel. Very tasty breakfest (everybody will find sth for themself - even salmon :) Very spacious room, comfortable bed, small fridge with bar included (coke, fanta, beer, water), tea and coffee and kettle. The bathroom has hairdryer and necessary cosmetics. Coffee/tea/water and cookies available in the lobby every day. Bar in the lobby open in the evening. Very nice and comfortable space in the lobby.

The room was very clean and the towels were changed daily. Great view on the window Hotell staff and cleaning staff very friendly, helpful and nice Early check-in (at 13:00) Great shower gel, shampoo and soap (not the mass-market hotel products). Big plus for this! Cheap price. It was a great stay. Thank you! Will definitely visit again.

Room a bit small, but for a short stay it's perfect. The free minibar advertised in the hotel description it's just a bottle of water. It's nice to have water in the room but it's not free mini bar, let's just say free water :)

Location & Transportation: It is right next to Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof. There are several tram stations in the vicinity Rooms: Very bright and spacious. Beds are super comfortable. There was a cooler, and kettle in the room It looks like a Vintage 5 star hotel Free drinks in the mini bar every day and free coffee in the Lounge Staff: Very polite, responsible and friendly staff who catered to all my needs and problems
