Wonderful. The hotel was ideally situated. The street it was on was lovely. It was vibrant with excellent restaurants. The businesses in the street were more like family. The hosts were superb, happy to spend time with their guests, and even put up with my poor French. At the rear of the property is a beautiful garden. A very calming place for a good wine (fine selection at the hotel), with a lovely Havana. Bedrooms were clean and well appointed. We had the privileged garden room. Very quiet. I haven't slept as well as that for a very long time. I highly recommend this hotel. There had just been a bereavement in the family, and it was a break my wife really needed. I can't thank the hosts enough for their lovely welcome, and recommendations. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇨🇵

I'm a pedant, but even I can't think of anything to moan about.

The location is perfect. In the old town, a short walk to the walled citadel. Right next to the "old bridge" after which this hotel is named. The garden courtyard for (buffet style) breakfast was lovely and we appreciated the cozy kids room adjoining our own - black-out dark. Aircon worked well. Great views from the panoramic roof terrace (I've included a photo here of the citadel which was taken here), although you could only fit one family up there at a time, so take your photos and let someone else have a go. The staff were *super* friendly and accommodating. Made extensive use of the chilled water dispenser on the 1st floor and borrowed one of their board games. The room size was quite adequate, although you wouldn't call it large. The bathroom was - proportionally - more generously sized if anything. Good shower.

If you need a lift, consider looking elsewhere. We didn't, so it was fine, but if you do need one...

The hotel has secure underground parking, so you can forget about the car until it's time to leave. You won't need transport as the hotel is only a few minutes walk away from the main entrance to the old walled city. And less than fifteen minutes to the other part off the old town between the river and the midi canal. Breakfast was very good. But what made the stay especially good were the staff. Our first night there it was raining and the front desk offered us use of an umbrella to walk up the old city for our evening meal. For location, value, and staff you need to look no further for the perfect place to see Carcassone from.

Located 10 minutes walk from the ancient city, the hotel is convenient to visit both the old and new towns. A variety of restaurants within a 5 minutes walk provide good food at reasonable prices and are less frequented by tourists than the restaurants inside the old city walls. The secure parking is adjacent to the hotel and is well worth booking. The hotel has a charming enclosed garden, suitable for a quiet drink or for eating the excellent breakfast. Staff were welcoming and helpful

The absence of a lift would make the upper floors impossible for people with impaired mobility. Milk for the coffee maker in the room would have been nice. A selection of nibbles or snacks to consume with drinks in the garden would be a nice touch. Beware that in July/August the adjacent street is pedestrianised and only accessible by car with the help if the staff and an access key.

Ideal location at the foot of the citadel and close to the bastide area. Our check in was easy and the receptionist most helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and the air conditioning kept us comfortable. Breakfast was ample - offering fresh fruit, eggs, cold meat, yoghurt, cereals and a variety of bread and croissants. The ambiance is very French. We used the hotel parking which was fine. We could walk everywhere and the airport shuttle pick up is close by. The proprietors and staff were always available. There's an amazing panoramic view of the city from their 3rd floor terrace.

It took a few minutes for the hot water to run.

This is a great place to stay in Carcassonne, perfectly located between the old city and the town. tremendous value for the price. The old cite is heavily visited by tourists so I would not recommend staying in the old city itself, especially if you have a car. this hotel is a perfect compromise. the staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating.

The breakfast area was a little small, but it was winter so we were not able to eat outside in the private garden, which would have been wonderful.

We had a fabulous stay at this hotel. The couple who run it could not have been more helpful to us by booking a trip and taxis for us. The rooms we had were overlooking the garden and it was lovely and quiet and peaceful. Rooms were very comfortable and the location couldn’t be better as it is in a street full of lots of restaurants and very near to the castle. It is also just a walk over the bridge into the newer town. We were really happy with the hotel and would thoroughly recommend it.

Excellent welcome from very friendly staff. Good help with parking in the underground garage. Great location for bars and restaurants and for a short walk into the old or new city. Very happy to recommend this hotel to all for a happy visit to Carcassonne.

Really hard to find fault. If pushed, the beds are more firm than we are used to. This can be overcome by an extra glass of red wine before bed!
