Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge

Office staff and housekeeping were friendly and helpful. Kitchen small but adequate for preparing meals. Our room was clean, and again housekeeping staff was excellent. Soundproofing between rooms is very good, I was not disturbed by noise of other guests. Closet space and luggage space is great. Lodge was easy to find and the location is great - easy to walk to many restaurants, grocery stores, and breweries. Canmore is pedestrian and bike friendly, has much to offer in the way of parks, lakes, hiking trails, and so much more pleasant to stay in than the crowded Town of Banff.

My only suggestion is that small fridges include a freezer section. We would have appreciated being able to refreeze our blue ice blocks.

The property is well situated, clean and has pet friendly option for a fee. The apt style accommodation option had a fireplace and a clean as well as functional kitchenette. Lovely peaceful views too! The front reception team were polite and helpful.

Minor feedback: The bedroom window as well as patio do not have a sheer curtain so when curtains are open, there is full exposure inside the bedroom. The bedrooms face the parking lot and there is traffic so it was limiting. Kitchenette suggestion: paper towels Unit suggestion: advising upper units to mind noise after hours as it can definitely be heard on the lower floor. Warming up units before check in ; it was freezing!

The loft is spacious for family of 6. Comfy beds and kitchenette have kitchenwares and dishes. Sturdy furnitures, too!

At checkout, it could have been better to be asked first if the whole amount can be charged on the card on file. The receptionist, Ming or something, just confirmed the charge without telling the amount. My family should have been splitting the bill because we stayed the whole week. I just told her we’re checking out then boom charged right away. No chance of checking the bill. She needs training on customer service.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. Location was perfect, it was walkable to the town centre, restaurants and shops. The staff were very accommodating, the rooms were a bit old looking but still comfortable, clean and quiet. The price was definitely better at the time I booked because all of the other hotels were twice more expensive than this hotel and it met all of our needs and wants. We will definitely stay here again.

Microwave in the rooms would have been great.

View of the 3 sisters in the morning, parking out front, easy to get to, quiet, even though the living room of my 1st floor room faced the street (there was a small backyard with trees), once the door was closed it was quiet. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable after a long day. The first room I entered smelled strongly of curry and and the sofa was stained. The staff were helpful to find me another room.

The furniture is a bit outdated but gives you that 80s lodge feel.

Very central for the Banff region for visiting. We had a single room apartment, which was clean and very comfortable. A good set of cooking utensils and a full oven. The room we had over looked the mountains so a great view whilst eating in the lounge area. Bonus. There is a separate laundry room with 2 washers and 2 dryers that cost 1dollar 50 cents per load. (1dollar and 2x25cent). There is a separate spa and sauna which were great. Front desk staff all very warm and welcoming. The local Safeway is only a 2 min drive or one could walk within 10 mins. Quiet location and great for access to the main highway.

Nothing really

We really liked the location of the lodge and the fact we had a queen bed. We also enjoyed the hot tube very much so an added bonus. I was a little worried about the room since the reviews seem to be so harsh, the only thing i can say is that it is a little older and you can tell the lodge has been there for a while but you can tell it is clean and they still take care of it.

The carpet can use come renovation, also our main door got stuck a few times

I love that there’s a loft set up. It’s nice when you have a group of people since you have separate sleeping areas but can still hangout together in the same space instead of having to get multiple hotel rooms elsewhere. I’ve stayed here multiple times and have had good experiences each time. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and in a decent location (maybe a bit further away from certain spots if you’re wanting to walk but it’s a short drive from most places in town). Also, across the road from a great restaurant (Sage Bistro).

Always great beds, quiet and comfortable. Very nice staff and clean rooms. Excellent parking in front of your room. Gorgeous view from the hot tub and most rooms have a beautiful park like setting out the back.

Had a complication at check-in but the staff was very helpful and the manager more then remedied the error. If your unhappy please let them know, they are fantastic at trying to resolve issues.

The facilities are kept very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They go the extra mile to make your stay great.

The only problem I had was there was renovation work going on while I was there. I was working the late shift and was sleeping during the day, and the renovation work disturbed my sleep at times. Other than that, this is a great place to stay.
