Hotel Novotel Brussels Off Grand Place

The location is fantastic! V near to train & metro station & Christmas Market at Grand Place. Lots of good food & gift shops in a stone's throw away. V convenient. Felt safe too! The room is spacious for my family of 4. Hotel granted us free extension until 1pm as our Eurostar train timing was at 3pm & my little one needed the room to rest as it was already v cold outside. My 18yo son felt v safe going up & down from the hotel to the shops below. Whole family loves Brussels now.

The toilet bowl was in a small room with 4 walls...felt like being in a cell... the sink was in the bathroom next door. Bed & pillows were a bit too soft for us.

Location location, few steps from Gare Centrale, where you transfer by train to the airport. In the evenings, the right atmosphere is just outside. I asked for a room facing the plazza, and I opened the window to listen to some jazz street music. With windows closed, it’s quiet inside. Will come again, next time in Brussels. It’s decent for couples and for solos business travels.

On late Saturday mornings breakfast is so crowded that staff has hard boiled the “Softboiled eggs”. They have two stations for eggs: hard and soft, just in case you’re wondering.

Great location and value for money. We arrived at the La Gare du Midi from Strasbourg, and then we took a taxi to the hotel (but there's also the Central Station nearby, we just thought it was easier for us, with the luggage and everything). There's also a taxi parking spot just around the corner, next to the hotel, so very practical if you want to visit the Basilica of the Sacred Heart or Atmium/Mini-Europe. The staff was very friendly and the hotel is modern and clean. The room was spacious enough and there was a bathtub and a shower, which felt great if you wanted to soak in after a day exploring the city. Breakfast was also very good, with plenty of options (including healthy cereals, fruit, etc.). We highly recommend this hotel, it's not overly expensive (considering the location, easy access, lots of restaurants nearby...) and you'll be able to easily explore Brussels and nearby cities (by taking the train or an organised tour, Tourist Office just a few meters away).

Only one minor setback: the door to our room let in a draft that made a lot of noise. It was room 237, and maybe the hotel could fix this. Appart from that, everything was perfect.

I was traveling with a couple of friends who had never been to the beautiful Grand Place in Belgium before. I suggested that we stay at the Novotel which was very close to the Grand Place but not on it. It was a very easy walk from the central Brussels train station (3-4 minutes) and there were restaurants galore right outside the hotel, in addition to the one inside. The room was very clean and well equipped, the bed and pillows comfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful in providing directions, answering questions, and giving advice in very good English. We were able to walk to the Grand Place within a few minutes.

I had asked for a quiet room and I got one, but my friends did not. They complained of the street noise on their side of the building. The only minor complaint I would have is that because the actual restaurant in the hotel was still closed, we were limited to the menu served by the bar. Hopefully the other restaurant will open again soon because I really liked this hotel.

Our recent stay at Novotel hotel in Brussels was truly delightful. Over the course of three days, we had the pleasure of experiencing exceptional hospitality, comfortable accommodations, and a convenient location that allowed us to explore the city effortlessly. First and foremost, the hotel's location near the central station and major tourist attractions made it an ideal choice for our visit. Being within walking distance of the central station made it incredibly convenient to use public transport, allowing us to explore the city's most popular sights with ease. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the comfort of the beds. After a long day of exploring the city, returning to the hotel room and sinking into the plush, cozy bed was an absolute pleasure. The mattresses provided exceptional support, ensuring a restful night's sleep. It truly felt like a home away from home. Another aspect that deserves commendation is the hotel staff. From the moment we arrived, their warm and friendly demeanor made us feel welcome. They were attentive to our needs, and truly enhanced our overall experience. Lastly, I must mention the excellent value for money that Novotel offers. Considering the prime location, the level of comfort, and the exceptional service, the price was incredibly reasonable. It is rare to find a hotel that combines affordability with such high standards, and we were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional value we received during our stay. We would wholeheartedly recommend Novotel off Grand Place to anyone visiting Brussels and we look forward to returning in the future.

We were really happy, catered for all our family needs. Fab location, lovely friendly staff, very good breakfast. Clean and always someone available to help. Would definitely return.

Nothing that would stop us returning! Mirror in main bedroom where there was good light would have been beneficial in the family room. Current location of mirror is badly lit. More seating in lounge area of evening. There were bar stools but had elderly parent with us so needed the lower seats which were often occupied as nice area to relax.

Location was exceptional, near the central station and near the Grande Place.

- no sink to wash hands in WC room - room small, little place for suitcases - breakfast too basic for its price

In fact everything about the property was great. Starting from the Location, the property is literally in the heart of of all the sight seeing locations. Brussels Central station is about 500 meters Comic Museum, Grand Palace, TinTin Gallery, Chocolate Museum, manneken pis and other are in very close proximity. You may choose to book conducted trips from the Buendía office which is at 700 meters from the property. Rooms were small but enough spacious Bathrooms. The windows open to the Grand Palace. in case you need a quick grab there a plenty of eateries just in 50 meters. Total value for money!

For families travelling with kids a Microwave in the Room or Lobby can come in handy.

The location of this hotel is perfect. It is right next to Brussels Central and makes it extremely convenient from that perspective. All the local tours also start very near to the hotel and the Royal galleries is just opposite to the hotel making it easy to shop for the Belgium chocolates.

The hotel itself is just like a regular hotel. There is nothing exclusive about the hotel but it is the convenience of the location that makes it applicable. The shower is so small that you cannot turn or bend and that explains it. The room itself is small too for a 3 member team. The sofa bed was creaking

Great location with direct access from airport by train, close to Grand Place. I came back nearly every year for a conference, and is my preferred hotel. Hotel is clean and well managed. Staff are kind and helpful, always wear a smile. The hotel has recently been renovated, looks and feel modern. Room is clean. I asked for a quiet room and they gave me one, can't complain.

Not too sure if it is because of COVID, the hotel is now providing paper cups in the room rather than glasses and proper cups. The paper cups are small and difficult to hold when having a hot drinks.
