Hotel Floris Arlequin Grand-Place

* I stayed here before in an executive room, which was pleasant, so I booked here again. * Staff is very friendly, helpful and flexible. I needed to change my dates when I checked in, leaving one day early and they had no problem changing it for me quickly at check-in. * Location is very central. * The breakfast is good (however this time it moved to -1 level, shame as the view was always beautiful when breakfast was on the 7th floor) * No previous charges on my card, I could settle the bill on arrival in cash. * Lovely little gym at the hotel. * Would stay again next time too.

The only issue was: My room this time faced the main street which is in the middle of a turistic area full of loud bars and restaurants, so I slept about 3 hours every night. I could fall asleep around 3am when the noises calmed down and woke up around 6am every morning when either the garbage truck or the cleaning truck drove through the street right under my window. As being sensitive to noises it was hard for me to sleep properly. Might be good idea to renovate the windows of the rooms facing this street, make it in a way, that isolation is better and so to minimize the street-sound being heard in the rooms.

The location is excellent..On the doorstep of bars and restaurants and shops. It's clean, spacious, cute lift, free breakfast, great place. Would stay again absolutely if we visit.

You may need earplugs as its noisy into the early hours (although we did have the window open which won't have helped). Some rooms may avoid this but ours didn't..The pillows were too thick and couldn't get comfy. Left me with a stiff neck.. I should have asked reception really to change but perhaps this is something the hotel needs to look at...Not enough issues to stop me staying again.. Excellent hotel.

Location of the Hotel is fantastic right in the heart of shops, bars and plentiful restaurants (with huge choice of cuisine's). Breakfast was lovely had a great choice to suit every dietary need and the dining area was kept lovely and clean. Room was lovely and warm and shower was fab after a long day and a very comfy bed for a great night's sleep. 5 minute walk to Central Train Station and 20 minute walk to Midi Flibco Bus Stop (get there early if going to the airport as queue was long, 3 buses came and went before we got on. 64€ for 2 adults return). Christmas Markets were good keep wandering about as dotted in several locations. A Must see is the Grand Square its Beautiful, also a walk to the Palace and Park is well worth a visit. Plenty of streets to meander through with some beautiful boutique shops. Also a vist to Bruges is a must if you have time as such a quaint and beautiful place (58€ for 2 adults return on train, apx 50 minutes)

Only hotel I ever been in that didn't provide any tea/coffee facilities (very strange) which did let it down hence only scoring 8/10 :-( In our opinion Brussels is not a cheap place to eat/drink you'll need plenty of Euros!

It’s all about location! However know that because it is in a pedestrian zone, you will not get front door service if traveling by car. Breakfast was NEXT level. Great. We would stay here again.

Shower was a bit tight for American sized people. Mattresses were a bit too soft. Front desk staff had a very ‘French’ attitude. But part of the experience. Nothing that was directly rude, just not service with a smile.

We had a great stay at the Floris Arlequin Grand Place. As tourists, we weren't really spending a lot of time in the room. For starters, it has an incredible location. There is so much to do in a very short walk. Our room was clean and neat, bathrooms were modern. We were traveling with our daughter so it was the perfect setup with the large bed up in the loft and the smaller bed downstairs for her. Would highly recommend this hotel. The staff was great!

The Wi-Fi was just OK. Since I was traveling abroad and not using an international cell plan, you rely heavily on wi-fi to make plans and scout locations.

Clean, spacious rooms and comfortable beds.

1) No water boiler was provided to our room. When I requested for it, the reception said it was not provided so as to avoid fire hazard. Yet, our friends told us there was one water boiler provided in their room. 2) We need to check out around 6:00am to catch Coach Bus, and called one day before to ask if we could quickly pack simple breakfast items around 6:00am upon checkout. Yet, we got declined although breakfast is included in the price.

Perfect location, in Central Brussels, close to Metro and a lots of sights. The room was quite big and clean, the bed was comfortable. Beautiful view at breakfast, which was also good variety. Helpful front desk staff. Nice gym. I liked that they did not charge my card before arrival at all, all payment could be done at check in. Good value for the price.

The lift looks really old, might be good idea to renovate it. More free weights could be useful in the gym. These are just recommendations to improve the hotel, I would certainly stay here again.

Very well situated in a no-traffic zone Reasonable breakfast with excellent scrambled eggs and fried mushrooms. A very interesting bread toaster that works with a grid-conveyor belt. I put my slice in twice and so had it nicely browned while I watched it run through the toaster All in all a to be recommended hotel

Because of the low ceiling in the breakfast room terrible acoustics: screeching chairs. They should glue anti scratch felt underneath the chair legs

We paid the same price for each of 5 "superior double rooms", but the rooms themselves were very variable. For example, my own (217) was small, dark and looked out on a fire escape - not "superior". Others in our group had much nicer, larger rooms with a decent view from their windows - for the same price. All rooms were adequate but only some could possibly be described as "superior".

The location of the hotel was excellent, that was the main reason for booking it. The room was nice, the staff was friendly. Check-in was very quick. We had a very good breakfast at the top floor, wide selection of food/drinks was offered. Train and metro stations are nearby.

We booked two rooms, in one of them the wifi signal was very weak, in the other one, it was not working at all. We talked with the reception staff about the problem but it couldn't be solved during our stay. In one of the rooms, safe was not available. Other than that the hotel was a very good choice for us.
