Delightful hotel in an exceptionally good location

Our ground floor room (which was very nice but a bit dark) was described as having a "small patio". This is a very misleading description. There is a glazed door to a lightshaft which measures about two metres in each direction and the shaft is about three metres deep. This means that very little natural light enters the room. The statement that "There is no view of Bruges from this room" should be replaced by a more honest description such as "The only view from this room is a brick wall situayed slightly less than two metres from the glazed door".

It was absolute fantastic to stay in a place with so much character and authenticity. We were amazed by the old interior and genuine art collection. The only two small downsides were regarding the breakfast (which was also great and tasty but not quite worth the 25 euros p.p.) and also the information about the city provided by the staff. We had to charge our electric car and came back to a fine because we didn’t know that during the charging process we would’ve been required to buy a normal parking ticket. We would’ve expected the staff to know about parking regulations in the city and to be able to inform us accordingly as tourists (we asked). However m, those are just tiny minuses and fairly particular expectations. The amenities are fantastic.

The location is beautiful. It's in such a perfect spot it can be seen in everyone's postcard-worthy iconic photos of Bruges. We even bought a throw pillow cover in a local store that includes the hotel exterior. Despite the awesome location, the entrance is down a quaint little side street, so it feels cozy and secluded in a busy tourist city. The staff were all very friendly and helpful; obviously well-trained to be so. The room was on the top floor, like staying in a beautiful but large attic. It had little windows that opened onto cute little views of the alleys and waterways, which we loved. The bed was comfortable, the amenities were lovely, and we would definitely go back again. Highly recommended.

The hotel's location is hard to beat. It is right on the Canal which was amazing! We booked super late, as it was a last minute trip so we didn't get one of the room's with the view of the water, but our room was still very nice. The breakfast was also amazing and very upscale. I would defiantly get the breakfast if you're going to stay here!

We had only one "bad" thing happen with the hotel. We got into town early and were told by the hotel staff that we could stop by before our check-in time to drop some of our bags off if we wanted to, since they knew we were going to want to explore the city. When we got to the hotel, we rang the bell and stood outside for quite a few minutes looking in at the receptionist who never ended up letting us in. We just went to the tour we had scheduled and came back after our check-in time and then it was fine. It was a pretty minor thing, just a little frustrating right after we got in town.

Such a beautiful hotel. The spaces are intimate quiet and beautifully decorated. We had breakfast in a lovely room with a fire that overlooked the canals. The breakfast buffet had anything you might wish. Our room was beautifully furnished with a water view and historic Bruges. The toiletries and bath were luxurious. Everything was meticulous and cared for including us. We arrived at 10 pm and hungry. The concierge made a reservation for us to have dinner close by where every dish on the menu looked so good—we had difficulty choosing. We had the best stay ever!

Not a thing

The room was decorated in a period to suit the age of the hotel. The bed was very comfortable and all the linen spotlessly white. The location is central to Brugge and everywhere is easy to get to on foot. The staff were exceptional, so helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Nothing really. The only thing for me personally is that I prefer to have tea and coffee making facilities on the room however, all I needed to do was phone reception and complementary tea and coffee arrived on silver service within minutes, no matter what time of day. I just like more than one cuppa and my fault, I didn’t ask a second time. Breakfast was a little on the expensive side too but had I booked with the hotel directly apparently it would have been included. Again, my error.

This small and elegant little hotel is in an ideal location in the heart of medieval old district. Lots of things to do and see are within 1/4 a mile.The hotel is tastefully decorated with Botero and Chagall & Matisse prints and lovely antiques abound. The nice touch was the complimentary tea and coffee they would bring to your room on a 24 hour basis. The breakfast was in a lovely room overlooking a canal with a very nice array of food choices. Their homemade waffles were a culinary delight. The staff at front desk was excellent: friendly and very helpful.

I loved the well friendly service from the staff and the very romantic atmosphere the hotel provided us in our wedding anniversary. It was really great and we will be back for sure. Congratulations to all staff.

The mattress was not comfortable because they combine 2 single beds and have a depression in the middle but after we talked with the staff they provided a topper that make it better. And they told us the owner will replace the mattress for all rooms . That’s really nice !!!

Beautiful hotel in an amazing location! The hotel is sat on the edge of the canal which is the most photographed area in Bruges. Staff were so polite and accommodating. Big room with comfy bed and great shower. We didn’t have breakfast, however each morning received free coffee in the dining room which overlooks the canal. Would definitely visit again!

Only slight negative was our room was on the ground floor close to a seating area. One night there was noise from guests sitting there that woke us up. However, by the time we decided to call reception to ask if they could be a little quieter, the guests had left.

a very cute, pretty and special place to stay, the location is perfect to walk into the city centre, enjoy the markets and shop, or explore the inner city on foot. The breakfast is nice, eggs and waffles on request, the rest is buffet style, small but good, tea, coffee, etc. are available. PayTV is available, sometimes needs your own login.

Parking, the website says parking available, it is not, and you have a hard to impossible time to get there by car, so we parked nearby and had to walk the rest (in the raid, no fun, plus parking in Brugge is expensive).
