I love this hotel! I wish I had an excuse to stay there once a month or so. The staff are so friendly. I booked the "charming room with balcony," which is a small room at the back of the hotel with its own quiet, private balcony, covered with grapevines and overlooking a small courtyard. The hotel faces one of the canals, making it easy to find after a wander through the city. The breakfast is really nice and the breakfast room is gorgeous. And the room I booked is so quiet at night. The bathroom is also really nice, with a shower/bath and lit by a skylight. Bedroom and bath were very clean.

For some people, this room might be a bit small, since it's a sort of attic space with a curving ceiling. For me it was perfect. Also, after check-in I wanted to sit in the terrace with a drink but the music was too loud!

We loved this hotel. The room was gorgeous- bed was incredibly comfortable and the location was perfect. We slept so well here, really peaceful room. Location was brilliant. Hotel was lovely.

Only criticism was over priced breakfast- we chose to eat breakfast out as it was ridiculously expensive. With a young child with us, it would have been nice to take her down and feed her at the hotel rather than having to go out and look for somewhere to eat. But for €80 for two adults and a toddler to have breakfast, it seemed like a crazy price to pay. We don’t eat much in the morning, so would have been better to have a cheaper option for a smaller breakfast rather than the buffet.

Room was beautiful and indeed 'charming'! Up in the eaves with velux windows. Not a huge space but room to unpack and put everything out. Lovely and clean and the bed was SUPER comfy, amazingly soft pillows too. We even just about had ea river view if you opened the velux windows! The only thing that was missing was a kettle and teabags. There was a coffee machine but tea and kettle is not provided in the Charming rooms. However, our friend on Reception did give us some teabags and told us how to make the coffee machine produce just water! Staff were really friendly and helpful, smiley and welcoming. It was such a lovely experience and we totally relaxed. The position of the hotel was perfect, on the edge of the main river and only a couple of minutes walk to the Bell Tower - so just over the little bridge to restaurants and shops.

Absolutey nothing! No drawbacks. It exceeded our expectations and we had a fabulous stay.

Our room had wonderfully high ceilings and was large, with a sizeable window that let in more-than-ample daylight. The bathroom had been redone very tastefully in white marble and tiles, and there was both a shower and really nice bath tub. I like to take baths and it was exquisite. The bathroom was roomy and comfortable, which is not common. The staff was more than accomodating and the breakfast was worth the additional charge- in fact we opted to eat the breakfast at the hotel daily, after trying a recommended place in town on the second day - the hotel breakfast was incredible, relaxing and worth it. The hotel has a wonderful 'back-in-time' bar on the first level that is incredibly cozy, stained in darker woods, and centered with a working fireplace; the bar was perfect for rainy weather break or just for a sit -and-sip in the late afternoon. Parking was easy in the rear of the hotel but can be difficult to find so make certain to have directions beforehand. The photos can't depict how wonderful this stay is. The location was fantastic for Brugges.

The meeting and greeting at the reception was very good and friendly. All the receptionists were extra helpful. The interior decoration was charming. I did not have breakfast

I don’t like rooms under the eves. I was not told when I booked of the rooms’ position right under the roof. There were many mosquitos in my son’s room and he wasn’t able to sleep. Our car was parked under a tree to be charged. The next day there was so much sap on the car that it took me two valet washing to get rid of it. Please make sure cars don’t park under those trees. The sap is very sticky and thick and very difficult to wash off the car

Our stay here was exceptional start to finish! The Hotel itself is beautiful and in an absolutely perfect location, right in the centre with all the local attractions close by but without feeling busy right on your doorstep! The staff are so friendly, polite and made us feel really welcome. Breakfast was well worth it and offered fantastic choice and an ideal way to start our day. We also experienced the wellness area which offered a luxurious touch and a tranquil place to unwind, as well as enjoying the hotel bar which was the ideal place to relax and enjoy a drink in a beautiful setting before heading out to dinner. I can't fault it, we had a lovely, memorable stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a calming and gorgeous hotel right in the heart of Bruges.

Excellent location in center of Bruges. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Gorgeous clean room - ours had a canal view through large windows. Liked having a refrigerator.

No restaurant and extremely limited room service. At least we could have coffee and hot chocolate delivered in the morning but not even rolls or croissants. They do offer breakfast downstairs at a very high price. Didn’t like having to turn in and retrieve the room key every time we went out.

This hotel is great value for your money. The staff treats you with respect, kindness and they were so helpful in giving us advice to get around town easier. The location was beautiful, very close walking distance to the city square, museums, boat tours, other attractions, and restaurants, we walked everywhere.

We didn't like that the breakfast was a bit on the pricier side and we originally thought it was included based on how it was advertised. The breakfast was very delicious and convenient however.

November 2022

The hotel is beautiful, we visited in late November so it was decorated for Christmas and as soon as you get to the entrance you are greeted with the smell of Christmas trees. It is large and open, clean and welcoming. On the 'main' road, which is very quiet but useful if you did need a bus. It is only 5 minute walk to the city centre so a good location for exploring from. The staff were all very good, with the lady who dealt with breakfast just at another level above that, so nice and friendly but in no way over-bearing. The breakfast itself is very good, a wide range of hot and cold options, with the added opulence of macarons and fresh cake. We were in a large room with a balcony which only afforded views over the car park but it was perfect to spend time out there.

It is very difficult to think of anything that could be improved, so to pick something the one thing we can suggest is a soap dish in the bathroom, we didn't like to just leave the soap on the side as it would leave a mark and even when on holiday we try to be tidy! Apart from that it was simply perfect"

We were delighted with the Hotel, absolute gorgeous very close to the main square, our room over looked the Canal which was charming, staff were superb, extremely help, courteous, knowledgeable of everything Bruges had to offer, our room was really lovely, room serviced daily, we had breakfast each morning on our stay, an excellent variety and range of produce to choose from. We would absolutely recommend the Hotel De TUILERIEEN when visiting in Bruges
