I loved the gardens around , it's lovely to seat outside. The roo.s are huge. The seating area in front of the loby is so cosy and confy. The spa facilities are first class. Excellent breakfast... lots of tasty options. Service was amazing as well. All the staff super helpful and friendly. We'll definitely come back.

The shower and toilets in the room are very old and it doesn't feel as clean as it should be. Same thing with the carpets. The food at the restaurant in the evening is quiet poor and not tasty. We had dinner there the first day and we preferred not to repeat the experience. However the breakfast (even if it's included) it was very nice.

Very nice property, not far from Windermere Lake. Breakfast was very good. Dinner was very good as well. The room was cleaned and we just found the toilet was electric, it's the same as Japanese toilet!! We were very impressed with it. Very cute and friendly ducks around the pond as well.

We stayed ground floor during night time we opened the door for circulation but I heard someone try to wake up us to shut the door. We understand for the security. Summer time in the room a bit warm.

Loved the extremely good staff and the friendliness. The staff are all not local though which I feel is odd when you’re in your own country on holiday! They did manage to understand you - but I felt further than from home due to all the foreigners than I have ever been, lovely people but I’m holidaying in my country!

That there was always a hoover in ever corridor - yes cleaning and hoovering needs to take place, but I don’t need to see these on my short holidays, also the line room was open and visible, I saw 3 x Hoover one in each part of the hallway a massive put off for me, and of course visible linens I appreciate it is a very clean and friendly hotel but can there be some discretion I don’t want reminding of house work on holiday 🙂.

Staff was extremely welcoming and friendly (Reception, bar and restaurant). The garden were really nice and relaxing. Varied breakfast buffet and we also enjoyed the dishes from the menu, plus the views from the restaurant were beautiful.

The size of our room was very small and the room itself smelled very weird. There were steps to go to the en suite bathroom. The isolation is quite bad, every time someone walked in the corridor we could hear everything. The pool was cold and jacuzzi small. I won't pick this hotel for its spa to be honest. The bath at our room was very difficult to use and there were not instructions at all. It also stopped working after 15 minutes and never work again.

Breakfast: It was amazing, the quality of food and the options available were great. The room: It was very spacious, and it had a balcony that faced the garden, and the garden had a pond, overall nice comfy room with great views. The bathrooms were spacious and very clean. Leisure: Great facilities, including a heated pool. My Husband and Son enjoyed the pool. We didn't have enough time to enjoy spa treatment but something was on our list for the next visit. Food/Dinner: The food tasted amazing.

Outside Space: There was a pond in the garden, which wasn't maintained, It smelled bad and there were ducks everywhere making a mess and a bit scary. Dinner: a little disappointing, not many food options for me, being vegan, there weren't many options to choose from, and My family didn't have many options for chicken. Only one chicken dish, that also had a Ham layer.

The hotel is lovely, we were greeted by a roaring fire in a very attractive lounge .We had a 4 poster bed and jacuzzi bath.( room 9 ) Food and service in the restaurant were good. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub, although stairs down a bit off putting.

We did not realise that there wasn't a lift. Should have asked for a ground floor room .14 steps carrying cases is hard with dodgy knees ! Dogs barking in nearby bedrooms . Was aware that "dogs are welcome " but hope some rooms are kept dog free for people who are allergic to them like my husband. Will know to check that out if we return.

Good location for the price. The hotel is near to many Lake District attractions, and has a nice garden for evening drinks - we particularly liked the variety of Dahlias. The spa is a reasonable size and a good place to relax at the end of a long day. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our evening meals in the restaurant were fantastic, we would recommend the hotel even if just for the food.

There are a few small areas where the rooms could be improved. For example, the curtains in room 3 didn't really fit the windows and were coming off the rails which lets the sun in if you're a light sleeper. Everything else was fine.

Lovely hotel. Rooms large and spacious and very clean. Staff lovely and very friendly. The food was lovely in the restaurant and plenty of choice on the menu with a separate Specials Menu too. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and plenty to choose from. We made full use of the leisure facilities which had a large swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. We also booked some Spa treatments which I would highly recommend doing. My husband had a full body massage and myself an Indulgent Manicure and Pedicure with Sharon who was a lovely friendly lady. The hotel grounds and gardens were beautifully kept and the seating around them was great. Overall our stay for our Wedding Anniversary was just perfect.

Nothing.

The grounds were beautiful, well looked after, comfy bed and a spacious bathroom. The food was out of this world, very tasty and the portions were huge. All the staff within the hotel were extremely polite and very eager to help. The pool was gorgeous, very clean and the time we went, it was just my husband and I in, so we could get some laps in. Loved the ducks at mealtime waiting for a few bits at the restaurant window. Sharon who has the Indulgence beauty room gave my husband a neck, back and shoulder massage, a treat for my him for Father's Day. He said it made him so relaxed for the rest of the break.. 😁

Very warm welcome from the friendly front of house. The room was good, nice four poster bed and everything needed in the room. Lovely spacious bathroom with a jacuzzi bath, too, a welcome surprise. The dog was made very welcome even in the dining room. This hotel is fabulous for dog owners. The facilities are fantastic, we used the pool, steam and sauna rooms which are included in the price which is overall fantastic value. We had an amazing time. The Lake District is absolutely stunning, and we will definitely return.

The pillows are a little hard for my liking
