The Lincolnshire Poacher Inn

We were in the area to play in a golf competition. We have stayed at the Poacher before, and always enjoyed the accommodation. The rooms are modern and well maintained. The beds are comfortably. The bathroom is modern and the shower large. The breakfast is beautifully cooked with local ingredients. We had dinner on one night, and the quality and value were exceptional-a lovely sharing seafood platter followed by pork loin with black pudding boules, asparagus and broccoli and new potatoes, beer and a bottle of wine for around £30 each. Wonderful value. A great location for exploring Lincoln and surrounds.

The location was ideal for our one night's stay. It was local and very handy for the event that we were attending. The room with ensuite bathroom was very clean and comfortable. The full English Breakfast was exceptional and was served-up in a very pleasant breakfast bar. The cooked meal together with toast and marmalade/conserve were all served-up in 'Denby type' quality crockery.

Although the room was excellent and had all the facilities needed for an overnight stay, it was very compact. We would have liked more room. The electric shower looked very new. However, in use, it fluctuated from very hot to cold, and was difficult to control. I assume that this could be easily remedied.

The room was quite small and so was the shower, however it was very peaceful and well appointed. Everything was clean and tidy and well stocked with toiletries and teas, coffees etc. Breakfast was big and plentiful, with everything freshly cooked; it set me up very nicely for the day! Dinner in the evening was excellent, a very nice selection and for the price it was more than enough and frankly much better than some food I've tasted in a Michelin-starred restaurant! Overall, the Lincolnshire Poacher is EXCELLENT value and will be the first choice for myself and colleagues, when we next are working in the area.

The shower was quite small and wouldn't be ideal for a "larger" person. The water pressure was also a little on the low side, however it was more than adequate for me.

Lovely country style public house. The B&B side was a very well refurbished set of mews of cottages. The food was very good with a very varied selection. Separate restaurant area for the evening meal we had. Breakfast was served in the bar area. Our host was very attentive with an excellent can-do attitude and a bubbly personality. Really enjoyed our stay.

Nothing to dislike about the whole stay. The weather outside was very cold but the room was lovely and warm.

We had a first floor bedroom in a annex/cottage across the car park. It was a Friday evening but it wasn’t noisy. Very nice clean comfortable accommodation. We ate in the bar at The Lincolnshire Poacher. Our evening meal and breakfast were cooked fresh to order. Hot and tasty. Excellent. All in all a very enjoyable relaxing stay. Good value for money.

There is nothing negative to say. Covid has been very hard to recover from but hopefully with some good weather ahead more customers will visit this most enjoyable establishment.

The location of the Inn to Lincoln, and the coast was excellent and made a good base to access National Trust properties and the seaside. The breakfast was great as was the homemade food in the Inn for evening meals The room was very clean and tidy and being just behind the Inn was slightly away from the bar and road so was very quiet and peaceful. The staff in particular the owner Pippa were very friendly and helpful with tips on places to visit.

The shower pressure was not great, but was adequate as long as you didn't want a steaming hot shower.

The rooms were very clean and the decor was very tastfully done, in keeping with the beamed ceilings. The rooms were spacious, quiet - away from the main road and very comfortable. There was ample parking as well

We are not early risers, so breakfast before 9am was a struggle, but it is a pub and we appreciate they have lots to do before patrons arrive.

Breakfast was ready at the requested time; 7 am Sunday morning so rather an early request but it was all ready and exactly as pre ordered. I requested a vegetarian full English breakfast and that's exactly what I got, cooked to perfection. Fresh orange juice, choice of toast, excellent selection of condiments, excellent service.

You really can't fault this delightful English country inn. I can't tell you anything we didn't like as it ticked every box!

very good value for money. The room was excellent. Very well looked after and clean. Everything was to a high standard. Particularly liked the Smart TV to be able to chill out with a glass of wine at night. Very quiet and able to relax in a lovely village surrounding. The bun was a quick stroll across the carpark, amazing breakfast (in with the price) and evening meal extra. All delicious. if we go that way again we will definitely be staying if there is availability. Hosts were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble.

Pippa was very friendly & couldn't do enough for us. Spotlessly clean & luxury toiletries provided. Good quality wooden furniture & a very comfortable bed with a lovely bedframe. Excellent breakfast & quickly served. The b& b is separate from, & round the back of the Lincolnshire poacher in a quiet courtyard with tables, seating & parasols for the use of guests.

Nothing to put us off, but the bedroom floor was a bit squeaky in places.
