I liked the reception and security staff. They ran a tight ship, but were really helpful and friendly throughout, which is what you want for your own safety and comfort during a stay. I thought the prices were extremely reasonable and booked an extra night on the back of this. The breakfast was very good. The room was lovely and warm without me having to fiddle about with dials and electrics...radiators on properly, job done. This place has a low rating, but in my experience at least, it should have a higher one.
Some of the facilities were dated and the luxuries lacking, but for the price, I would not object to this.

It was very very quiet and that was a great time to visit. When we were tired and we came into ask for an early check-in we were approved and we were very happy with that. The young lady that worked behind the reception in the morning was fantastic.
We were tarrogated when we were sitting in the lounge by the receptionist asking us what room were we staying in i wasn't very happy as we have checked in and we wanted to sit in the lounge quietly. And then we would disturbed again by two security guards asking us which room we were in when we were asked once before. I work in hotels as a manager and I would not resolve it this way I would ask very politely. I understand that it is hard work hospitality. But they should not make it hard work for the customers either.

The location is superb, right at the very centre with a public car park about 1-2 minutes away on foot. There's parking space for 3-4 cars right in front of the hotel, so you can unload your suitcases comfortably, check in and drive your car to the car park. The hotel features a luggage room where you can leave your luggage after checking out. They serve excellent breakfast and their staff is very friendly and helpful.
The smell in one of our rooms left a bit to wish for. Also, washbasins with two completely separate taps, one for hot and another one for cold water were a bit challenging for me. However, to be honest, I've always known that it's like that in the UK.

Location...20 min walk from train station through the town centre, which is quite pretty... Loads of pubs clubs and eateries nearby. Next to the cathedral and a taxi rank ... Was only there for one night... So not sight seeing... Overall location was great. Reception... Decent area... Staff on the ball, no issues there. Room could do with an upgrade but it was clean... Tea coffee kettle.. the usual stuff, couple of negatives in that the heating is air conditioning and you have no control over it... It was a bit too warm... The windows didn't open for fresh air, although at the same time I'm glad so as the great location has nightclubs pounding til 3 in the morning and you can hear them... Had I had the windows open I'd have felt like I was in the club... So the room is a bit noisy. Bar staff were lovely and chatty... Nemphi, gets a mention as she was a good craic til closing time. I don't want to leave on a negative, but I did from the hotel as well... Check out is 1000hrs.. 0910hrs my door opened and a house cleaner, attempted to enter.. I was just out of the shower and semi dressed... I maybe let the guests check out in their own time or a wee knock on the door before opening it would be a start. Overall... a good stay and value for money at £43 per night. Would I stay again... Yes.
Rooms noisy from nightlife outside til 3am House cleaners at 0910 entering room without knocking ... 50 min before check out is not on.

Friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Excellent breakfast but no orange juice. Tasty food but too much full English breakfast.
The breakfast could have been earlier at 7.30 on a Saturday. There was no marmalade and I was asked what I would like for my full English breakfast before I was ready to do so - therefore too much was ordered, which arrived whilst I was having my cereals. Nonetheless still pleasant and friendly service. The lever on the toilet was not fixed securely to the wall.

Lately, I can say, have the opportunity because of my weely payment, to take a room.Although I have a place where."I get paid on every Friday".Now, I already have the national ID card from the Hungarian Embassy. Thanks for the rooms, but I still have one more night there in 0626.Antal Bujnoczki
I did not like it when the official letter (replacing the passport or ID card)issued by the Hungarian Embassy was not accepted by the Reception. So, being invalid I left it in the hotel but came away.

Very big room with a balcony! Everything was clean and in good condition. Even had a bar fridge and couch to watch TV. Very comfortable. There was some entertainment on the ground floor (DJ), but I didn't hear anything in my room (6th floor) so didn't disturb me at all. Parking area is about 5 mins walk away but is very cheap at 1 GDP for the night. Lots of food shops around to grab some take aways. Right in centre of town.
Bed (mattress) was a bit uncomfortable, but bedding was clean and enough pillows.

The guy at the reception was everything! Extremely nice and accommodating and sensitive as well. check in isnt until 4pm which I was unaware of till I arrived the property at about 10am after a crazy busy night shift. fell asleep in the waiting area and after I woke at noon to ask for the bathroom he kindly let me check in without any additional charges! I will ALWAYS lodge at this hotel in any city they are available at majorly just because of his selfless and sensitive service!
it’s an old building so needs more modern touches here and there. but definitely not an unpleasant place to stay and so affordable as well!

Central and easy to get to via Uber or bus It's a little bit pricey for location, but it's understandable. Great spacious room with good facilities, I was on the top floor and had a balcony (only 2 or 3 rooms have this, and I didn't know beforehand). Comfy bed and good lighting and quiet. Fresh clean bedding and towels, etc. Friendly and helpful staff.
Tad too early check.out considering a late check in time, like mid afternoon to mid evening only, which is a bit inconvenient.

I went to Covehtry to attend a concert in the 2 Tone village. This Britannia Hotel is one of a chain of hotels. For the cost of my room, it was extremely good value for the money I paid. My room was large, I had a comfortable double bed, tea & coffee facilities, and a bathroom with shower, bath, basin & WC. Location was perfect, near the Cathedral in a quiet neighbourhood. The Coventry Motor music and bus station are close by. It is a 20 minute walk to the railway station, ten minute walk to the shopping centres. Checking in and checking out were simple.
The check in time was 4pm.
