Located in the old part of den haag. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the central station. The hotel is close to both bus and tram stops. The hotel is very well looked after and is extremely clean. It is surrounded by lots of shops and restaurants which make the area feel busy and vibrant. Despite this it is not noisy at night. The colleagues are all very friendly and helpful.

The rooms are large and there is plenty of room. The windows all open up. However the rooms would benefit from air conditioning. Despite this we would return to this hotel if we ever return to this part of Holland.

Great stay in a central location, in pedestrian street in the heart of the 'Hofkwartier' close to many excellent bars, restaurants and all central sites. Unlike many hotels there is no aircon, which for me was a bonus: you can actually open the windows!! No mini fridge in the room, but there is a fridge in shared kitchen next to the big shared living room on the ground floor (which can nbe used as a work space), which worked fine. Whilst there is a lift, the stairs are steep like in all dutch townhouses, as this is a conversion retaining much of the original character. Good wifi. Zero traffic noise, but some street noise from pubs / bars that didn't bother me with double glazed windows closed, died down most nights soon after midnight.

I truely exceptional hotel. sistuated in the heart of Den Haag with dozens of resuarants nearby, main shops, and cafes. A pop-up music jazz group played in the street below our window.. Its walking ditance to all the main attractions of Den Haag, shops, tram stops nearby. Train station is a Tram ride away. The hotel is managed really well and includes a communal lounge and kitchen of the ground floor lounge area. We would definietly stay there again. The Hotel Receptionists are just excellent and amazing! You'll have to stay to find out why :-)

all good ... including a lift for luggage, etc.

Nice staff that held my luggage on the day I was to check in and put my bag in my room prior to the check-in time. Seamless check-in and check-out. Easy to access coffee and tea in both the lobby and room. Large comfortable bed with nice bathroom. Surprised at the generous size of the room compared to another nearby hotel at the same price point.

One window faced out on a street where nighttime conversations from the street could be heard, not necessarily the fault of the hotel. Closing the window drowned out most of the noise. It was still easy to sleep there.

I booked the hotel for its central position but it is not only central but in a particularly charming part of town with narrow streets and distinctive buildings, shops, cafes and restaurants. The immediate neighbourhood includes the Cafe de Oude Mol which we missed visiting but is apparently well known. The Bookstor round the corner in Noordeinde is a delightful bookshop and cafe. The decor and furnishings were high quality, the reception staff very helpful, the air conditioning in the room very welcome in hot weather. The bed was large and comfortable. Room facilities included a Nespresso machine. The hotel has bikes for hire at a very reasonable price.

A very minor quibble but feeling thirty in the hot weather I took and paid for a chilled bottle of water from the honesty bar on the ground floor. The water was in an attractive bottle and no doubt good mineral water but in such a tiny quantity as to be of little effect. I assume the tap water in the room is drinkable but I saw no information to that effect. Maybe for water specifically a larger bottle size could be provided.

Location was great - easy walk to best spots in Den Haag. Room comfortable and overall hotel had a nice decor / ambiance. Staff were friendly and accomodating.

Bit hard to locate bar staff. When you ask for scrambled eggs at breakfast they turn up in a small saucer - really quite odd. Switched to an omlete which was much better. One day I returned to find me room not cleaned by 3pm! I got a knock on the door at 4pm asking if they could make up my room. I asked if they could give me some time to shower and get dressed to go out but was told they would all be going home. To be fair they contracted to come early the next day at an agreed time and they came through on that.

Why do people stay in chain hotels when there are independent hotels like Paleis Hotel with character and soul, run by owners who take pride and pleasure in their hotel and greet you with sincere warmth and hospitality and not with the greeting they were programmed with in orientation. Appreciated the safe storage areas for bicycles. Superb location.

How about a shelter over the bike storage area to protect them from the elements?

I loved everything about the hotel! Situated in a prime location within the central, close to cafes-restaurants-mini markets-boutiques-bars. The room was fantastic, I especially love the comfortable spacious bed, beautiful clean bathroom with bath!, cosy window view and the fantastic staff! Jeanette & Miranda are amazing! They were very kind, friendly and attentive. I felt so welcomed there and was sad to leave. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends. if I ever visit Den Haag again, I’d definitely return ❤️

location is just brilliant. On a great street lined with restaurants and cafes. Bedroom was huge and the bed very comfortable. They have an honesty bar and a small lounge room where you can spend time. They have secure-ish parking for bikes in a car park across the street. BYO lock (or park in the free bike packing facility two streets back).

The room is in a lovely building, really central and they accept dogs. The dog was given a blanket and some cookies, which we appreciated. Bright and stilish room, with coffee machine and kettle for tea. Many cafes and bakeries in the same street.

The hotel is very small, that's why they don't have a breakfast lounge. The price for a dog is very high, we paid 60 euro for 2 nights.
