Hilton The Hague

The hotel is situated in the city center, which makes it ideal for sightseeing. Our room was very spacious, clean and quiet. The beds and pillows were perfect. We appreciated the large bathtub and separate rain shower. The breakfast provided a decent selection. The staff was friendly and efficient.

The breakfast was a little pricey, but we knew this in advance.

The room overlooks a courtyard, that wasn't so nice. It was very disappointing to see that people hang around the entrance and smoke and makes every guest going in and out of the hotel walk through this cigarette cloud, without the hotel management doing nothing about it. The whiff of cigarette can even be faintly perceived in the lobby, due to the breeze blowing in through the door. Having paid so much, and with the reputation of Hilton, I expect hospitality to start from your outer premises, the door, into the hotel. There are also people allergic to cigarette, so don't allow people hang around your entrance and blow it into the faces of everyone going in and out of your facility!!!

location is great as we were visiting family nearby. breakfast was excellent and the refurbished restaurant is absolutely stunning

Had an executive room but we didn’t make the best use of the facilities because of the 8pm limit on alcohol. The room is very well equipped if you’re a small man. however if you’re a large/tall person (like the Dutch are…) then the provided robes won’t fit. More choices should be available so you can get a suitably sized bath robe. Also there is no area suitable for a dressing table - need a mirror to allow makeup application whilst seated. Toiletries are not as delicious smelling as they used to be - changed the brand?? No car parking discounts for hotel residents at the attached car park unfortunately

The room was big enough and very clean.

Firstly, when I booked the room I asked a gluten free breakfast, but was told that I have to ask it from the staff in the breakfast room. Quite a poor service. The breakfast itself was really basic. Not so many things for people who are gluten free, do not eat pork and milk products. On the table, there was a piece of paper to make an egg order. However, even the breakfast room was almost empty the both days, nobody had time to get my order. I had to take coffee from a coffee machine, as the staff could not care less that I was sitting there. At the same time I saw those few other visitors served properly.

The hotel is the old Post office of den Haag, well located in walking distance from the center an many museums. The room was large and looking into the inner courtyard, making it quite away from the street noise. The rooms and decoration is modern and seems like was renovated in the last years. The breakfast and the restaurant dinner were better than expected.

The reception was always busy, and it took long time before i could get my turn. I don`t know if i was just unlucky or is always like that. The staff was helfull though even if things took a while to be solved.

Breakfast was lovely - fresh food and lots of choice. Room very comfortable and spacious as well as quiet. Good black out curtains. Location excellent being so close to the city centre as well as easy reach of the coast.

Unfortunately the sink in our ensuite bathroom did not drain properly - this was reported on checkout which I hope will be sorted before another guest uses that room. Water temperature in shower did not seem to be very warm and slightly patchy temperature control.

Room is decent size for Europe standard. Convenient location, close to public transport and city. Good breakfast selection.

Need to provide better service after hours. Long wait during after hours for check in and no porters available to bring our luggages to our room. The entire floor carpet on level 2 smell mouldy, need to be updated or replaced.

The location of the hotel is very good.

Parking is in the same building as the hotel, operated by a 3rd party company. You cannot get an entry card for the garage, you have to pay for every in/out based on tickets making it very-very expensive. The staff is telling to use Q-Park app, which is not available for my country (I cannot install it).

we were charged “city taxed” which is not indicated when we booked. we’ve used booking.com for almost 15 years, Hilton Hotel for how many times in different places and countries but this is the first time we’ve incurred such payment. we don’t mind paying but otherwise this should be sorted out on the time of the booking or when we arrived. I think it’s a kind of rip off

Hilton never disappoints me. The staff was amazing and once they heard that we were there for a birthday. Everyone was excited and we even got a free glass of wine at dinner. The food was the best I have ever had. The taste and presentation was next level. When it was time to end our stay they even scheduled a car (upon request) to bring use to the train station.
