Carlton Ambassador

The location of the hotel is very nice, in a green quiet part of the city, but close to the center. The staff is very friendly and taking time to explain everthing in detail. The rooms are clean, and have a bit old-fashioned charm. The family room (with an additional bed) had enough space it, the balcony was very welcome. The breakfast room with a terrace was beautiful, too. The beds were comfortable, the covers warm enough even for winter.

The way the room was cut, we had a big bathroom, but a very small separate room for the toilet itself. Opening and closing the door of this room was a challenge. The shower was in the bath tub, which was very deep, so getting into and out of shower can be a challenge, even with the provided handles in the walls.

The room was absolutely amazing and the bed absolute comfort. The room was a haven of luxury. A bit of noise outside seemed to disappear. The hotel was well placed, and the environs nicely leafy. I'd definitely return!

If I had to quibble, I love to have a little egg boiler to play with at breakfast (you know, like they have in Ibis), but it was superseded by the great service who would come in and ask if we'd like eggs, poached, boiled.... so really, truly, nothing at all that I didn't like. It was fab...u...lous!

Excellent service provided by the staff during our stay, they were very responsive and tried to accommodate our requests (bike storage, replacing the faulty coffee machine in the room, etc). A big thank you to the client relations manager! The room was spacious and loved the comfortable beds.

I was disappointed with the breakfast where I found that there was a discrepancy between price and quantity/quality; due to the restrictions the desired items were selected beforehand on a form, and the breakfast was served in the room. I found that some items came in 'mini format' - such as 'the fruit salad', the 'cornflakes' - more like 'tasting' sizes.

- The personal was nice, welcoming and helpful; - No additional cost when asked to have a baby-cot in the room (that was there and ready when we arrived); - When contacting the Hotel before the stay, they were very reactive and responsive);

- The breakfast is not worth the price (quality-wise, yet you eat as much as you want); - For the price and the "Carlton" name, we were expecting something better as a Hotel (Comfort. Once again the personal was really nice). - I asked for a double-bed but got 2 single-beds put together; - The check-in took a bit of time (20mn, before they finally brought a second person to accelerate the process).

The room is big for European hotel. The furniture are a bit different, like the big bulky clothes cabinet. it is not the usual hotel I go to where i see zen type, minimalist rooms, but the experience is comfortable nonetheless, breakfast is ok and the service (fast & reliable) is excellent

the only dent to my stay in Carlton was when the emirates car shuttle picked me up at lobby, the driver was asking for my name, I was at the resto finishing a meal at 5pm. the reception told the driver, there was no Melinda Sarmiento (my name) booked ever in the hotel. I checked out around 830am that morning June 10. I found this strange, a bit annoying bec i stayed there for 5 nights Food in resto menu is very limited

The room was everything I expected- clean, comfortable and quiet. I slept really well. A lighter bed covering was provided when I asked for it (the duvet on the duvet on the bed is gloriously light and soft but sometimes too warm for me). The curtains keep out daylight very effectively, and I loved the plush carpet. The madelines from restaurant Sofia are to die for!

The hinges of the wardrobe were creaky, and can be easily fixed. The coffee in the room was replenished each day, but not the sugar.

1. Perfect location, just several tram stops from centraal station, and then you will arrive in less than 1 minute. The surrounding feels save and quiet .As the name of the hotel tells, some embassies are indeed located at that place. 2. Best staff I’ve ever met!!!! Very helpful and polite from the very first second we arrived at the hotel, they even give us detailed travel tips for the city den Haag.

the furniture is a bit old fashioned, nevertheless, it still worth your stay despite this tiny downside.

This is at a very attractive place, halfway between the Mauritshuis and the Peace Palace, the neighborhood is dotted by embassies. The hotel is elegant and comfortable, and very reasonably priced.

The only negative is that the breakfast was very pricey, almost 20% of the room rate for a single person. We didn't take the offer, so I cannot tell whether it would have been worth it, but it feels unlikely...

Although it is stated as having a private parking ( that's the reason I've chosen this hotel), I wasn't offered a spot -although I requested for one while booking. The nearest parking was 5 min away and it wasn't cheap at all. The price 20€/ per person for breakfast is expensive as well.

Beautiful boutique hotel in a great location. Friendly helpful staff. Well.appointed comfortable room. Spotlessly clean. Would definitely stay again. Idea location for discovering The Hague and short walk to and from concert venue, Maliveld, so no need for long waiti in queues for transport at end of show. Perfect.
