I really don’t know where to start. We were staying at Bardo while our honey moon. From the service to the amenities It’s the best hotel Iv’e ever been to. It’s so beautiful everything, it smells so good, the service and the vibe of the people there is just amazing. The design is exquisite! The food in the restaurant is great and there are few options for vegans. We had small issue during the check in (which wasn’t an issue at all for us) and they went above and beyond to please us. We had such a great time there that we cancelled the all inclusive resort in Cancun that we booked for the last days of our honeymoon and we are going back to Bardo.

service was beyond exceptional!! Artie and team always offered anything we could possibly need. delicious food, beautiful grounds, tons of free amenities. the free bikes were our favorite! so easy to ride into town quickly for meals or down to the beach (only 30 minutes!). we also had an incredible experience having Emilio host us in a temazcal ceremony on the property. Truly transformative. all guests we encountered were very polite as well and everyone was respectful of the tranquil environment. the only noises that we experienced were waking up to the birds on our patio every morning but that was part of the charm of staying tucked away from the main roads (:

lots of different bugs able to get into our room due to the lack of seal around the shower door. had to keep all clothing locked in suitcase instead of unpacking and making ourselves fully at home. Also very limited lighting in the room which made it hard to ensure said bugs were not in our room or on our belongings when arriving back at night.

We loved EVERYTHING! The service was incredible, the facilities were amazing. Having bicycles available was great, and meant you could easily head to Tulum town and explore! Highly recommend eating out, but the food at the hotel is so good that you could also just stay there the entire time. Would love to come back one day! Aroma coffee is great for breakfast if you want to head out. La Negra Tomasa for dinner. Tropi Tacos for a cheap lunch - get a ‘special plate’ option.

Something to be aware of is that it does feel like it’s in the middle of nowhere when you first drove there. But don’t be worried. Once you arrive it all makes sense!

This place was so wonderful. Quiet, peaceful, gorgeous. The staff and food and drinks were excellent. Loved having an outdoor shower. We had massages, did yoga, ate almost every meal there, booked private transport to and from the airport, and a Cenote tour and every single experience was top notch.

My one and only nit-pick complaint is the curtains aren’t black out. Something to know is that the birds can be quite loud in the morning so bring earplugs if that sort of thing keeps you from being able to sleep in.

We loved our room- especially the details like how a turndown service was offered in the evening and they lit the candle and incense every night. We loved our private plunge pool and the main pool as well. Cocktails were also amazing

the area surrounding the property wasn’t very walkable and we had to wait 20+ minutes for a taxi one evening.

We had excellent time, Bardol is amazing the set up and architecture are spot on. You're in a jungle yet comfortable with urban facilities available - they also struck a very difficult balance to keep it authentic. Staff are visible, attentive and willing to help at any time, shout outto Priscila who has been super. We had help with motorbike rental and taxi, slightly pricier than outside but safe and hassle free. The hotel pays excellent attention to details, always clean, tidy and has a lovely scent. We loved the location of the hotel, the opposite side of the beach away from the beach stretch which is getting a bit overhyped ( I think this personal preference) we were about 8mins away from main road/town centre so secluded and quiet while easy to get to all the shops and restaurants. Also they do free bicycle rental so you can explore further. The in hous restaurant is amazing too we tried it once for breakfast as there's so much food variety outside there to try!

First of all. The STAFF is amazing. Leo was our server/waiter most of the time at the restaurant and he is absolutely pleasant and just an all around great guy along with the other waiters and the chef -OMG hats off to him. The FOOD was phenomenal. The attention here is TOP. The room/villa is so spacious and clean with a plunge pool, hammock and big patio. The soaps, scent of the place is so relaxing. The room service, the drinks, the pool area. The overall aesthetic of the place, the DECOR was gorgeous. Needless to say, we will be back. If anyone wants to relax, forget about the world, have the best service and friendly staff, amazing tasty menu’s in a quiet meditative environment, in touch with nature with a luxury feel to it - this is it. They are doing everything right here. Found the perfect spot to relax. Muchisimas gracias por su atencion! S&K

As soon as we walked into hotel Bardo, all our worries disappeared. The service was simply excellent: from the reception, to the security, the bartender, the waiters, house cleaning, yoga instructors, and managers. We had very pleasant interactions with each and every one of them. At Bardo, you are welcomed and served in the warmest way, and the location is like paradise. Carefully curated interior and exterior, beautiful pool that is well-maintained, dedicated yoga area, to name a few things. The restaurant serves quality food from morning until evening, has a great chef and a good variety of dishes. You're surrounded by nature and plants everywhere and they have a transformation program with a morning and evening session including various activities such as different types of yoga, ice baths, sound healing, etc. So if you're looking for a reset, an oasis of calm, look no further. I would have prolonged my stay if the hotel was not fully booked. Thank you Kiki, Danny, Quentin, Sosi, Leo, Victor, Mara, Priscila, and all those whose names we didn't catch!

I can't name a thing.

The best hotel I have ever encountered. A calm tranquil ambience - boho decor, friendly and super helpful staff who went out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Breathtaking decor with small personal touches to create an unforgettable experience. Loved every corner of that hotel from the avocado seed straws, the tezmacal experience, yoga every morning, aesthetic & very clean rooms.

Zero faults

Everything about the hotel was beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. Great room service, cleaners and turn down service.

The concierge could have been more helpful with trips etc especially with being in town and further from the beach/main restaurants. For example one evening they recommended a restaurant which we walked to, to find it was closed. A bit more care for those who maybe don’t know their way around, we just rented a car in the end! Other than this, that’s the only negative in our entire 10 night stay.
