Avani Cancun Airport

The hotel is super modern and is really cozy. We stayed in a studio room and it was huge, it was really nice! We decided to stay here because it is close to the airport, so we only stayed 1 night. If we would have a longer trip, this would not have been our first choice, as there is not much to do within and outside the hotel. I know that they are currently building a huge shopping complex next door though. The breakfast buffet is super good with lots of options! Overall the price/quality ratio is a SUPER deal :)

It would have been nice if the bathrooms would have tubs and not only showers. When we arrived we were greeted in a very friendly way, someone also helped us with our luggage. When we did the checkout, nobody was there to help with the luggage anymore (it gave the impression that they are not interested to provide a good service anymore). As vegans it was a little hard to find something to eat a la carte and since there are no other current options to eat out, we had to adjust and eat vegetarian food.

The staff were professional. The room was comfortable and clean. Good value for money. The shuttle from the hotel to the airport was very useful.

No shuttle from the airport to the hotel so that was pricey.

Very modern hotel, everything was really clean. The location was kind of in the middle of not much, but it was quick to the airport and that’s all we needed. There’s a huge shopping area being built right beside it, it will be great.

The restaurant staff, although very nice to us when we were dining, did not show us our bill when we asked to pay - he just told us the price. We were confused about whether or not this included service as he didn’t say. When we asked him to clarify on this, we realised he had added a tip for himself well over the norm. The food was good and the service, but we did feel a bit duped by it.

the price is ok for what you get

We landed late at night due to a flight delay, we expected there to be a shuttle to the hotel, since there was not, we had to pay an exorbitant price to a ceremonial (official) rogue driver of the airport. Disgusting exploitation of the situation

The hotel was very close to the airport and easily accessible by car. There is a parking lot underground for free so your car stays in the shade and it's guarded. Very pretty hotel and very clean. The rooms are big, a big and comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Ideal stay to rest 1 night after the long journey. There's also 24h room service so no matter what time you arrive you can still eat something in your room. Nice bar area with good drinks and guacamole. Breakfast here was amazing! So much choice, lots of european dishes but also lots of traditional mexican dishes. There was even an entire customize your omelet the mexican way booth where they made fresh omelets with different toppings. This was the best breakfast of our entire stay!

The pool area was really small and almost no sunbeds (4-5 total). They weren't clean and the bar was closed so you couldn't get a drink and there was no music. It felt abandoned and not so nice.

The suite is lovely, very spacious and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable. Little touches like a mini fridge and coffee machine are appreciated. The hotel itself is modern and posh, with a nice pool and lobby. The restaurant had good food, nothing fancy but well cooked. The included breakfast was excellent, with a made to order omelette station, a salsa bar and fresh squeezed juices. I should mention location. It's a bit out of the way of amenities and not near the beach but handy to the airport (10 mins drive with a free shuttle) and quiet even on new years eve, which is rare to find in Cancun. Overall, a great quick overnighter spot. I would stay again.

Staff were hit and miss for friendliness and helpfulness. Breakfast staff were all great, front desk less so. The location would not be great for a holiday stay.

i absolutely loved the location and the seamless check in and the overall quiet ambiance. I would stay there again for sure.

There were 2 things that would've made it perfect. First thing is that since i didn't nor did any of my friends speak spanish it definitely was a hindurence that the TV programming was all in spanish! Every channel except CNN i believe, so we couldn't enjoy watching TV at all! That was disappointing! Secondly, we discovered that unless you have a key to go to a different floor in the hotel other than your own, you were not allowed access. That definitely became an issue as it was five of us in the hotel and we were on different floors. I'm sure that might have been for safety measures but definitely not very accommodating. There needs to be a system in place to address that.

Amazing stay! The room looks exactly like the picture, mattress and bedding were very comfortable, very spacious, great closet space and amazing bathroom & shower. Room service was also great as food was very tasty and authentic, specially considering it is a hotel restaurant, also surprisingly not over priced for room service. we were able to order from the main menu rather than Room Service Menu which was a nice touch. Very pleasant staff all around. Location is fantastic if you’re looking to stay close to the airport - it was an 8 minute drive to Terminal 1. Great Value for stay.

Absolutely great airport hotel, comfortable room with a strong AC that cooled the room beautifully, very comfortable bed, and great hot water in the rain shower overhead walk-in shower. I had absolutely no issues. Food in the restaurant was good, as well, and friendly staff. Quiet hotel, and great for catching up on sleep.

would advise to buy some snacks at the airport, and perhaps bring them along with you to the hotel, as there really isn’t any markets or stores anywhere around the hotel…

The staff was very attentive and friendly and also provided us with a free room upgrade to fulfill our bed type preference. The room and overall hotel design was looking great and also looks like it is almost brand new. Gym and pool also were nice perks. The hotel is a short ride to the airport which was convenient on this trip but if you want to explore the city or the beaches it is not in the best location.

Unfortunately the AC in our room had turned the room to freezing temperatures and was not capable to heat it up when we checked in. Also the water in the shower was mildly warm at best.
