Casona de los Sapos Hotel Boutique

The hotel is beautiful and in an amazing location. You can walk to many great place to eat, visit (the Cathedral is less than 10 minutes from the hotel), and if you are feeling adventurous, you can walk even further to museums that are about 30 minutes away on foot. Outside the hotel there is an antique market that was open every day. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional. We had to change rooms because there was a room full of kids above us who were jumping off the bed onto the floor throughout the night (good for them!) and the staff was gracious about the change. The whole visit was like that - professional, friendly, easy. If you go to Puebla, this is the place to stay.

Breakfast selection was appealing and delicious. I loved starting off my morning with a cup of Ginger and Chamomile tea. Also, the fruit platter was always so flavorful. At times, I would venture off my favorites and order the chilaquiles. Every bite filled with unknown flavors, but well thought discoveries.

I thought the pastry portions were quite large. Don't get me wrong. Pastries were delicious, but beyond what my belly could handle.

bell desk staff was great, restaurant staff was amazing, room was always clean and the room size was nice. linens were good, bed quality was great. access to everything we wanted to see and do was perfect!

The only reason for my 9 rating was that my air conditioner in the room didn't work, BUT they did bring me a portable air conditioner and offered to move me to a different room. once again, overall it was great.

Incredible staff, delicious food, comfy bed, beautiful historic building. The rooms were spacious and the location is amazing - perfectly situated between restaurants and sights. Good wifi throughout. Pool is on the roof and pretty.

The room is a bit old-fashioned, fitting with the historic nature of the hotel - but would have liked a comfy chair to sit in, or a more functional desk area to work.

This is a beautiful small hotel, where the staff get to know you. The free, delicious breakfast is huge, beginning with pastries made in the hotel, followed by fruit, and enchiladas or chilaquiles accompanied by small rolls, juice, and coffee. We enjoyed the pool and the hotel's central location near the zocalo. Our room was large with beamed ceilings and a very comfortable bed.

The facilities were beautiful. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and basically wonderful. We especially want to put in a good word for Miguel at the front desk. The toiletries were of excellent quality. The location was perfect, near many great sites in the historical center of Puebla.

Former colonial house perfectly renovated and cared on a daily basis with great taste. The entire staff was amazing from the beginning till the end of our stay, security staff, cleaning staff, breakfast and dinner staff, people at the reception. They were all really kind and professional, with a lot of small attentions. When we faced some difficulties (which are not related to the hotel) they also took care of us, and helped us a lot. The breakfast was really good with amazing sweet cakes coming from the bakery Francesita (part of the hotel as well) and good local and international meals. Very good location for this place too (near the city center), really nice view from the rooftop swimming pool on the Vulcano La Malinche, gym perfectly equiped. We had dinner every night at the restaurant « Le Crapaud » where we can eat international and qualitative food. It can be a little bit cold as Puebla is 2000 meters above the sea level when the doors of the hotel remain open so do not forget to bring warm clothes. We travelled a lot around the world and went to so many different places, but Casona de Los Sapos is definitely one of the best we went to !! For sure we will chose this place again when we come back to Puebla, and we will recommend it.

The service... everybody at the hotel was friendly and eager to resolve all your questions or needs. The location was great for exploring the city. Very safe area walking distance to everything. Breakfast was delicious.

The room did not have a window to the outside. 2 small windows into a corridor. It felt very dark and warm at night. The rooftop pool was nice but there is not a good lounge area to hang out

The breakfast menu was great! First-class service all the way. Casa de los Sapos Hotel Boutique has set a new standard for other hotels to follow. The entire staff made us all feel "special". I highly recommend this hotel for an exceptional experience!

I only wish we could have stayed another week.

Everything else

Noisy room. At about 06:00 a big pump turned on, I guess it was the pool filter ( the entrance chandelier shaked, that big the vibration) The shower room is huge, like 9 feet long, but the water from the shower head was scarse, it barely reached a bit more than 1 foot, so you have to stand almost leaning to the wall. In the main restaurant there are paper napkins, no fabric ones, no table clothes, etc.
