Hotel Isabel

The hotel was very clean. The room was clean and comfortable. No issues with the air conditioning or shower head as other reviews mention. Great views from the terrace, and best location in Puebla. There's a restaurant connected to the hotel which is convenient. Housekeeping did a great job with our room every day.

When checking in, they messed up the booking. They were very confused when I told them my name. I showed them my receipt on booking.com then they found an empty room and put us there. It was not the room I picked. They seemed very unorganized which is not what you want when visiting internationally. The room was fine luckily but scary situation for arriving at night after travelling all day.

The Hotel Isabel was a great lodging for my family and I. The front-desk service was exceptional. Moreover, the location of the hotel itself was so convenient. Just a 2 minute walk to the Cathedral and the Zocalo.

Hotel Isabel did a wonderful job at hosting my family and I. One minor improvement would be monitoring the air conditioning. At previous hotels, I was able to maneuver the AC to my personal preference. However, at the hotel, I was unable to find the control. I was only staying there for a short amount of time, so I did not ask the front-desk. I do take a little blame for this because I'm sure the problem would have been easy to resolve.

The location is outstanding. Just two blocks from the main square and you can see the cathedral from the entrance. The rooms are comfortable and of a good size, and the common areas are convenient. The restaurant is basic but good and have a varied menu.

The check-in took a long time and some of the staff messed up our reservation. Everything was sorted out in the end, but it caused extra stress. Our room didn't have a window. The air conditioning worked fine, but the room was dark.

We got a great price for three nights so I really can't complain. The pillows had a few lumps and they randomly changed my doona after one night to one with a tear in it. So if you're after luxury, it's not for you. But if you're after clean and good value close to the zócalo, it's great.

Not environmentally conscious. They had only plastic water bottles and no filtered water available. They unnecessarily replaced my sheets and towels after two days. Even in a hot climate that is extreme.

Staff on hand throughout the day and very quick response times on booking.com. The room was large, clean and the hotel is located right in the centre so very easy to visit the major sights in Puebla. The balcony had a good view of the cathedral.

The room I had faced out onto the a main street which had a great view but was a bit noisy because of the traffic.

Perfect location in the centre, from the room we had a gread side view, the staff was very friendly, the hotel overall looks very nice and pretty inside! Also feels safe with restricted elevator access to the floors and security at night.

Would have been perfect, but our room was facing the main street and therefore at night and early morning it was very, very noisy. There was practically no sound insulation (between 2nd floor room and street) as the windows barely close. For the heavy sleeper among us that was not a problem, however I wasn't really able to rest because of the noise.

The hotel itself is stylish, clean and modern. Our room was big and comfortable. The shower had hot water and a huge mirror. Antonia cleaned our room everyday and when ever we ran into her, she was always kind and courteous. The Hotel has a rooftop with a view to Puebla’s cathedral. Most of the attractions are nearby.

I simply don’t give 10/10 to this Hotel because of the staff. We found out the hotel had a rooftop because we asked, not because someone explained it to us when we checked in. In fact, nothing was explained when we checked in. We found all the facilities and services ourself. It is so sad how rude the staff at the reception/lobby is, specially all men. They appear to dislike answering questions about Puebla itself and they lack of hospitality to make their customers feel welcomed. I would really recommend some type of training to the staff in terms of treating customers and having a smile on their faces.

The hotel is located right around the corner of the Cathedral and there are lots restaurant and shops around. The staff were really friendly and the room was big enough.

The bathroom needs a restoration the doors seem old and a bit rusty (however you can see it only if you see carefully). In the morning, around 9 am the staff turn on the music and there is a lot of echo in the building.

As highlighted in previous reviews, the breakfast is bad, which is sad because the breakfast you can pay for is nice. The hotel would be better not wasting the fruit and very dry bread and instead just charging a little extra for the yogurt and granola for example. There seemed to be some kind of school group stay whilst we were there who were very noisy late evening and early morning - not the fault of the hotel though. The bedroom floor was a bit scruffy, and the bedding linens we had could do with replacing.

The position.the relationship between quality and price.

Staffs don't speak fluently English. Reception staff is not good. For example I reserved a tour to Cholula and the following day, the day of the tour, I asked them about my reservation and they tell me the tour was full and I didn't get a place for me. That is not professional they have to tell me before not the same day of my tour. About breakfast: included in the price.it was so poor : coffee, slices of fruits, butter, jam and rusks. When you go to hotel like this one you wait for some typical breakfast like fruits juices and more.
