Hotel Andante

Excellent location...a block away from the Zocalo...center of the city. I stayed in the Brahms Room...hotel is musically themed. The renovated building was built in the 1500s and was the residence of a friend of Herman Cortes. Rooms are very large...good AC....hotel is very clean. Located on a very busy street which becomes quiet in early evening. There is an elevator for reaching upper floors.

The staff is fairly unfriendly. Breakfast not included in room price. It's hit and miss when the breakfast room will be open in the morning. Maybe if there aren't enough guests, it doesn't open. It takes 2 remotes to operate the TV...and a complicated strategy for finding channels and for changing them.

The location is amazing...perfect for everything we wanted to see and do. The staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the classical music theme of the entire hotel including record players and classical records in every room. Our room was dedicated to Ludwig von Beethoven....charming!

Most issues were totally due to Covid's impact on business and leisure travel. There were few if any guests beside us. We were impressed that the Hotel was managing to stay open and as operational as it was. The included breakfast was exactly the same each day for example. But the orange juice was freshly squeezed and it was always served with a smile.

The hotel is in a prime location, just around the corner from the Zocalo. It is close to restaurants and most of the landmarks the City has to offer.

Our room was on the street and was a little noisy at night. We paid for a "suite", but I don't think we received one. If we did, the suite was very small for the price.

The hotel is very close to the Zocolo, but the location is not too busy or noisy. There are lots of restaurants that are very closeby. We appreciated the quiet classical music playing in the common spaces and the music-themed art work. Our room was very spacious.

how clean it was and how friendly and professional the staff was.

even though they may be important to the owner and are part of of the musical decor the dresses hanging from a hanger seem out of place to me. Even though it was a bit cold when we were there adding a pool may potentially be a plus to compete with other hotels that have one.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! we love both rooms we stayed in but I must say the Suite Mozart was the best I’ve ever stayed. Corner room with a wrap around balcony! One block from the Zocalo and all the sights within walking distance. Superb!

We loved it all and took into account that the restaurant being closed was because of Covid. The VIPS across the street was open and good for breakfast.

the hotel was decorated with love and the rooms were large. Each room was devoted to a particular composer. Our room was the Stravinsky room. Inside the room was an old fashion record player with a classical record playing as we enter the room. It was very clever and very sweet. In addition, the hotels location was about perfect. It was less than a full block from the Central Square.

From the hall through the elevator, the administrator will take you to your floor. A huge beautifully decorated hall on the floors allows you to relax and unwind with friends or work alone. Huge rooms, very clean. Each room is stylized for one or another composer; upon entering, a player with the music of this composer is automatically turned on. The hotel is solid 5 *. Probably the best in our Mexico trip.

This place is amazing and truly a relaxing stay we had, the rooms are beautifully decorated, it had a vinyl player with great records to play, very clean place
