Hilton Garden Inn Riga Old Town

Very good location. Very clean- option to have your room cleaned everyday. Quiet area though close to Old Town’s best places which makes the location ideal. Very good air ventilation and room temperature regulation too.

We had a room where the window looked out on the foyer and corridor, which meant that we couldn’t open the curtains for the sake of privacy, nor could we see the weather for the day (This wasn’t mentioned when we booked the room on Booking.com).

Best location in town if you want to visit old town but also want to visit the part of Riga across the river. Close to everything. Rooms are big and quiet. Exceeded expectations.

This is not to be expected, but we would like recommendations for what to see or do seen from the eyes of a local.

This was the best Hilton Garden Inn I've ever stayed at. Everything about it was superior. They should update and renovate the ones in the U.S. so that they're comparable. This Hilton was so modern, the room decor was sleek and modern, airy and spacious. Loved the fact that the lights turned off in common areas when they were unoccupied. Great housekeeping, too. They would pop in when we had gone out and get the job done. Awesome location. Air conditioning was the best in Europe so far.

Well, there's only a teapot in the room. A lot of hotels have Nespresso makers and teapots. But there's a very good espresso machine downstairs in the snack bar, but you do have to pay. Costa Coffee is right down the block, too.

The cleanliness of the room; toiletries; excellent shower. Liked the idea of purchasing anything from the room from reception, this would have been very useful if we had arrived at a late hour. Breakfast was excellent - good choice of fresh food and I loved my mushroom omelet each day. Also, used the bar in the evening and enjoyed our drinks.

The pillows instantly collapsed when sleeping and were not comfortable. I did not find the mattress comfortable and woke up with a backache each morning which slowly wore off.

The hotel is beautiful - they have gorgeous photos around the hotel of Riga which also made me so excited to explore! It's centrally located in the old town, it felt super safe and it was quiet at night. This hotel was perfect! I have stayed in +35 hotels in the past year and this was the best value for money. The staff were friendly and helped me print my documents for free. Additionally, the hotel provided free bottles of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel). Additionally, it is easy to access the airport using public transport (a 3-minute walk away from the bus stop) or using Bolt. My friend also enjoyed the free cake in the hotel lobby (which is also a nice and quiet place to sit and work).

Nothing - a great hotel!

Nice hotel, very good location for transportation, touristic spots and restaurant. I didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel(€20), I ate at the restaurants. The man at the reception, Viktor I think, was friendly, he explained a lot of things during checkin and checkout was fairly fast. The room is spacious, the pillows were okay, there were two in the bed, long and soft, but I was able to use the two extra to make a little more of a volume. The bathroom has heated floors, but there’s no bath rob or slippers. I kind of expected a little more for a Hilton, but it was good overall.

Good location if you want to be in the Old Town. The rooms are large and well-designed, beds are fine, staff helpful and friendly, and large, modern bathrooms. A pleasant, international standard hotel.

There's nothing in particular about the hotel - splitting hairs, the TV was a bit behind the times. Riga is Riga, and this is right next to the sports bar/ stag party streets - but if you avoid those, you're also avoiding a substantial part of the old town. And that's what some people want...

Location was great, the front desk staff were lovely. Huge king bed.

The cleaning depended on the cleaning person of the day, the second day the room was not vacuum cleaned and they also forgot to replace the tea options. There were some noises from the room neighbors hitting their walls too roughly. For a family room, the size was too small. If it was for a couple it would have been fine. We managed as we only had one child with us but skip this if you have more than one child with you.

What beautiful views over St. Peter's church! I really enjoyed the room we stayed in – it was spacious, super clean, and super comfy. Also, the sound isolation was excellent, didn't hear neighbors at all. And the breakfast was amazing, although rather pricey. But definitely high-quality food and good coffee.

I really liked the layout and interior of the steak house/breakfast room and our room. But the other spaces felt rather cold-ish and a bit too business-like to me, perhaps some warmth could be introduced? :)

Probably the best location in Riga old town.
