Hestia Hotel Draugi

The location is fantastic. It is in amongst many restaurants, shops and bars and of course a lot of important landmarks are within a short walking distance and the Central Market is only a 10 minute stroll away. The staff here are friendly and efficient and the rooms were cleaned during our stay and the necessities and clean towels provided for without having to make a request. The Wifi worked perfectly and the TV seemed fine for those that don't want to explore the city. We stayed in room 304 and considering all of the bars nearby we had a great sleep so they have protected guests as best as they could. A tip for this success? Close both windows. Breakfast was plentiful and had plenty of choice to cater for all. It was such a nice touch when the staff had a packed breakfast for us both due to our early flight home and that showed this hotel cares about their guests. The airport transfers were hassle free and they provided a friendly driver and it was good value for money too. Definitely an enjoyable stay in a great location.

The room was exactly what we needed, clean and comfortable! Location absolutely perfect! Breakfast excellent!

One night the party in the club near by was too loud and it was going on untill very late night/ early morning. Another night some junkies were shouting on the street 4am untill 6am in the morning. Very annoying, but of course hotel has little influence on those things. In our room hotel has placed free ear plugs 👍

A very nice hotel in a good location in the heart of the old city of Riga. From the hotel it was a short walking distance to the central railway station, bus station, for trams and buses (e.g. airport bus). Near the hotel there were also lots of tourist attractions and a variety of restaurants. Also close to major shopping centers like Stockmann and Origo. We had a quiet room at the 7th floor. Breakfast surprised us with its versatility. Everyone was sure to find a suitable breakfast selection there for themselves.

The double bed was a bit tough for my taste, but my spouse thought it was only a good thing.

This is the second time that we stayed at this hotel. Hotel Stuff was helpful and kind. Nice breakfast. Our room was quiet, spacious and clean Most things was as expected. Thank you very much

Because we had to leave early in the morning, the hotel front desk told us that they could prepare a breakfast bag if we ordered it the day before our depature. We ordered a breakfast bag at the front desk the day before our departure (around 20:00). But we were told that it was too late and the hotel can not prepare a breakfast bag. We were very disappointed.

A good simple option for Old Riga.

During the pandemic, I forgot how busy the old town can be on weekends. I had to walk to the next street at 5:40 am to get into the taxi, it simply couldn't drive through to the hotel. Next time, I'll stay away from this part of town.

The location was excellent for the Old Town and the staff, both at reception and breakfast, were very accommodating. Although the room was only a 'small double' it was very well designed and equipped, the bed amongst the most comfortable I have slept in. Although mid-week, without much noise from the street, I was glad to have taken a room overlooking the back. Breakfast was very good, all buffet-service. The coffee was excellent and the selection was good - although I would have loved scrambled eggs (but that's just me being very picky!). Breads, cheeses and hams excellent quality and staff always with a smile. Very obliging in allowing me a late check-out due to my late flight home and extremely reasonable charge. Good, safe driver/taxi service available from Reception to airport, too. All in all would be more than happy to stay here again!

The only thing missing was a bar in the hotel. Having said that, there are a number of watering holes within a few minutes' walk from the hotel.

Hotel is next to the night club, noise in the night is unbereable. Windows must be closed, because of noise, but there is no air in the room. Also curtains were not covering light in the morning.

Very central location close to all highlights in Riga. The room was nice, the bed comfortable. The breakfast was great- a lot of options and very good coffee (which is not common at hotel's breakfasts). The stuff was welcoming.

There is a bar with a terrace in the courtyard which was directly below our windows. They had very loud parties every day till 3am. Fortunately the hotel provided us earplugs so it was fine and we were able to fall asleep. But do not expect quiet hours from 22:00 as is common. :)

Breakfast is excellent, staff is very nice, the rooms are big but the tub is small. It was very clean and the ladies that are cleaning are very nice and helpful, the room was warm and bed was comfortable and had was very large.

If you are staying in a room that has a view to the front of the hotel, you'll not be able to sleep at night without wearing ear-plugs (which were provided, probably because of the numerous complaints). It is near a very busy club called Rock Cafe and lots of drunk people make noise in the night.

Location is wonderful, right in the city center, but also with a good connection to an airport. People on reception are very friendly. There was no noise from the hall. There is a small fridge in the room. Coffee was a highlight of a breakfast!

When we entered the room, we saw earplugs on the table, which is a bad sign. And indeed, it was quite loud, so we had to close the window and sleep without a fresh air. There is a sign on the window to close it when the light is on, so insects don't come in. But a mosquito net would be a much better solution! There is a curtain, but it doesn't save you from day light which is 18h long in Riga in summer, it is also 30 cm away from the window, so you can see the window from the bed :) Breakfast was poor and didn't have any lactose-free & gluten-free options. Pillows were a little bit too high.
