Savoy Hotel

Free room upgrade, thank you, very clean, not least the bedding, which meant so much, it had a great shower, nice and quiet area with no noisy families nearby, (we're a little older) and the room was lovely and warm on a cold December few days Reception staff were simply wonderful from start to finish, very friendly, helpful and engaging, bar staff in the evenings were also very attentive, thank you

Whilst the room upgrade was so appreciated, the room had no overhead main lights, and we couldn't see a thing, lighting was reliant upon a number of lamps dotted around, which didn't really help much. I would never use the "mini bar" however others might, but not this one, it was virtually empty? No staff around at Breakfast to advise you on how things work, just had to guess procedure

Walking distance to the train and the main hub to all the tourist things to do. Restaurants and grocery is steps away. Very nice clientele and very friendly staff.

The showers!!! Worst design. There’s only glass over half of the shower and you kinda have to go stand in a small corner of the tub in order to not get your floors wet. Also not a lot of light in the rooms. Unless it’s sunny outside, it’s kinda always mood lit in the rooms. But that’s just me.

The service from the front desk especially Alexandra was sublime and met the same standard and even better than I used to have at Hyatt. I made the mistake of booking for 1 person, but she helped me immediately fix my mistake and provided great care. The valet service was great, they don't abuse a high-performance car and just park it like requested. Overall I might consider using Savoy as my default hotel instead of Hyatt for Cologne.

The only thing that I noticed was that the breakfast was 30 euros, which is about 10 euros more than I'm used to at Hyatt. Just for that reason, I didn't take the breakfast option during my stay. Since I didn't use it, I can't say if the price-quality ratio was fine.

A hotel in a very good location, close to the city centre, yet very calm and cozy. Hotel Staff is very welcoming and helpful from the very beginning. They provided me all the information and services I needed. I didn't use much from "extras" but whatever I used, it was excellent. Also, wifi worked as intended, that wasn't super important, I will definitely come back to this hotel and share a word of mouth with my peers.

I can't find any major issues. My stay at Savoy was truly great.

I enoyed all aspects of the hotel. I also received an upgrade to a deluxe room which was nice. The bathroom facilities were excellent and the breakfast room and spread was outstanding. The front office team & concierge were top notch too.

No doorman to assist with the luggage or the daily friendly chit chat which would have made the stay at the Savoy even more luxurious

Room was spacious, lovely, super central and pretty quiet overall. It was nice to work from the bar lounge while I waited for a flight after checkout and the staff were quite friendly and helpful. Design aspects of the hotel were interesting and I liked the toiletries provided. Bed was super comfy! I really would stay again for a trip on my own. Room service food quality was top notch.

I wouldnt feel comfortable sharing a room because the bathroom door isnt a solid door but just a sliding piece of milk glass so it wouldnt offer enough privacy in my opinion but it’s perfect for staying on one’s own. I could hear the trains a little so i wore earplugs but to be honest im a super sensitive sleeper and the room was super quiet overall. I think in general shag carpet is hard to keep hygienic - my room’s carpet seemed super clean though. Would recommend for the hotel to charge less for the room service fee or state it on the menu at least. i believe its 7-8 euro per room service order.

Room had a great design, comfy and adequate for 1 person. Service was absolutely fantastic, really friendly staff. Location was convenient. Super quiet room despite being close to the main station.

The pillow was rather flat and uncomfortable. Would've preferred separate shampoo and shower gel given price. Continental breakfast was rather limited in choice given price, would've preferred more warm options.

Junior Suite Room - loved the decor, bathroom and general themed decor The dinner in the bar area was very nice, though the menu was very limited. There was more choice in drinks than food. Drinks were nice however. Very low key, chilled, casual dress-code bar area for dinner.

Arriving to the hotel prior to having your car parked - very limited space to park whilst you get your stuff out in preparation for the staff to park. We had to circle round twice until we saw a tiny gap, due to taxis and other vehicles taking up space in front of the hotel. The surrounding car park (around the sides) were already full and the underground car park is fully locked down so you can't go in and park for yourself. Limited hours for the sauna / steam room. When we arrived, it was closed and was not open until 10am on Sunday am, which was too late as we were checking out / exploring the city. Terrace was closed due to weather but not their fault.

Such a great hotel! We had a corner room that overlooked the road, and it was perfectly quiet. The bed was amazing and we slept so well. The shower was superb, push button to get the temperature just perfect. The shower with colored lights was also such a cool touch. It’s a 5-7min walk to the cathedral and the central Stratton. The breakfast was good with decent choice. We really enjoyed our stay!

Breakfast could have had more choice. Wish there were sausages or bacon, and I was hoping for pretzels. But aside from that it was great.

Very stylish hotel, with interesting artwork throughout. Helpful receptionists, and great cocktails in bar.

Cannot believe there was no tea/coffee making facilities in rooms ("only in the apartments" when questioned). Not a fan of the policy of room being serviced only on alternate days. Especially when leave bath towels on floor to be changed, and they are picked up and folded back in place - have to ask maid for new towels, at which point she doesn't replace, we end up with 4 - 2 used; 2 new.
