The hotel is conveniently located at Postplatz which is close to several tram lines and is a 5-minute walk to the Old City. Also located in the Altmarket Mall so everything was right there! The hotel is spotless and the staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. I found the breakfast choices to be adequate. Mainly cold meats and lovely sliced cheeses and also some veggies like cucumber and tomato. Yoghurt, breads, all sorts of coffees and tea, milk, juice etc. Everything you really could want. The only negative was the fruit. I would have liked some fresh cut fruit. My room had an additional single bunk bed that transverses the head of the double bed. I used this bed to store my folded clothes because there is only a small space for hanging clothes but no cupboard. The mattress was firm and comfortable. My room was a bit noisy because I chose a street view. Last time I stayed in this hotel the room was very quiet with a courtyard view.

While I understand that this is a budget hotel, I would have loved to have a mini refrigerator.

What we liked was the excellent location, the means of public transport available and its proximity to many attractions, a wide variety of restaurants and shopping. The location of the hotel scores over everything else. Regardless of the objective of travel the hotel couldn't have been at a better location. The staff was friendly, in fact they were kind to keep the jacket one of us left behind during check-out at the reception, for us to collect the next day. The hotel was otherwise nicely organised, managed and administered as a business maintaining running costs as low as possible.

True to the name, it was a budget hotel with corners cut wherever possible. The room was too small for 3 persons (it could sleep 3 persons), and in our view, was too pricey for what it offered as facilities and comfort. Hardly any space for anything - Desk space - too small, bathroom had no facility to keep the towel and the fresh set of clothes; so was the toilet. Only one trash can was available, that too in the toilet. The breakfast was frugal, only cold breakfast was available, with little variety to choose from. Same menu one day after the other. However, a nice place for an overnight stay, or say, a couple of days at best.

This is a budget hotel but if one tailors one's expectations to this, it is very good accommodation for the price. The rooms are relatively small but with a large and comfortable double bed. The number code for the door ensures one do not have a key card to lose. The shower is excellent though located in the room rather than separate from the room, unlike the toilet cubicle. Some may find the frosted glass inadequate in terms of privacy when showering. WiFi was free, easy to connect, reliable and quite fast for regular browsing. There were four English-language channels on the TV.

I did not have breakfast at the hotel but guests are advised that at the busiest time for breakfast, queueing can be expected. There is an early-opening REWE supermarket close by so there are simple and cheap alternatives to the in-house breakfast. There is no kettle supplied so bring your own if you think you might need one.

Superb location Helpful reception. Fine breakfast. Excellent value. Quiet and very well sound insulated rooms. Cannot imagine better quality Budget hotel. Visiting Dresden without a car, this must be the best value location in the entire City. The attached shopping centre could be the finest in Germany. Don't hesitate. Location, Location, Location!!!

Twin bedded room (No.3056) was immaculate but strange design. Separate toilet with 1 clothes hook and no shelf , with unlockable door ok, but no bathroom door, so open sink (next to shower with opaque door) very very small, with no plug, very very small flat surface, and no shelves in room atall. No space for chair, or hanging any clothes, or storing anything. Floor in window alcove only place to leave clothes on my side, Can only use room for sleeping as its too small and shelf free. Beds good comfortable and squeak free! Use reception area for relaxing and room for sleeping. Good shower! Will still rebook happily, but room design and fitting out is weird!

The location was fantastic! I booked this not knowing about the Dresden Day weekend celebration was happening across the street! The proximity to all our tours was the best!

We had an interior room which resulted in it being warm. Even with the a/c on high the room was not cool enough for us. I brought this to the attention of the front desk and they indicated the rooms facing the street were cooler. But b/c they were sold out we could not switch rooms so they gave us 10 euros/day to compensate.

The location was amazing! Though ~20 minutes from the station, you're close to all the restaurants and shopping malls in central Dresden! And despite that, it wasn't noisy at all (even though I lived on the lobby floor). The bed was extremely comfortable and sockets all close by.

If I were to nitpick, the fact that the shower door opens outwards is a little odd given the water drips straight onto the floor (there isn't a 'toilet' per se in this room the shower and sink are kinda just in the room). But it wasn't a big deal!

The location was right in the center. It is a short distance to trams and buses that can take you to the rest of the city. The railway station is 6-7 minutes away by tram. There is a large shopping center in the same building. The beds were good to sleep in. The staff were very pleasant.

There was some noise. I tried to sleep without earplugs, but had to give up. I put them in my ear and then I fell asleep. It wasn't a lot of noise, but enough to wake me up. The breakfast was quite ok, but nothing better than that.

Great central location, easy check in, friendly and really comfortable room

I know it's called budget but was one of the more-so budget places I've experienced. You can't fully open the windows, the shower is in the room not separate, there's nowhere to sit only a bed, and there are sensitive light switches behind the bed so if you try to sit up you'll keep activating them. The room was also quite small (we only had a back pack and somehow it still looked cluttered). Also no hairdryer unless you go back down and request one.

The location of the hotel is perfect and very close to the central square. As far as I saw in Dresden, it was the best mix of price and quality. We stayed with the family and took 2 different rooms. The hotel is quite big with the huge number of small rooms. The rooms are really small, but equipped with the modern furniture, TV, and facilities perfectly. So you don't feel the size of the room. As we used the hotel only for sleeping it was more than enough for us. We also took the breakfast for additional 7.5 EUR per person that was quite good for this price. Hotel has parking nearby that costs 15 EUR per 24 hours. In common, we liked it and most probably will come back next time. The staff was also very helpful.

I think for this price and location we were not able to find the big minuses.

Beyond perfect location. Right atop a massive shopping mall with everything your heart desires. Just across the street is the historic district, with the Zwinger literally less than a 2 minute walk away. The rooms were extremely modern and beautiful. I loved the lighting and how it dimmed and went around the walls. The bathroom design was super cool, with the shower glass and semi-see through from the rest of the room. Also just a 2 minute walk around the corner is the tram stops, that go direct to the train station. The breakfast was very diverse and delicious, with meats, cheeses, breads, oatmeal, coffee, juice and cake. Overall, I loved my time here. Would rebook in a heartbeat. This place will make your time in Dresden relaxing, easy, and fun!

No kettle for tea in the room, or even water jugs in the hall. The only time I could have caffeine was in the morning at breakfast. One of the front desk ladies did heat up some water for me in the afternoon, but it was very inconvenient. I enjoy having tea in my room and I couldn't do that easily at this hotel.
