Super 8 by Wyndham Dresden

Breakfast was excellent. My room was quite large, larger than in many other hotels close to the main train station in Dresden. The price was also about 10% lower than in the case of the hotels close to the main train station. Wi-fi and TV were perfect. Great services. I liked very much the view from my window at the 4th floor - I could see the river about 400 meters away. The train station Dresden Neustadt is only 5 minutes (or 1 tram stop) away from the hotel. I used No. 3 tram to go to the university (a direct connection, 20 minutes drive) and there is No. 3 tram stop just round the courner from the hotel - perfect. I am sensitive to noise and I need a quite environment to sleep - the room was not totally quite (train and tram lines nearby) but it was acceptable - I have slept well. I have already recommended the the hotel to a few of my colleagues for their next trip to Dresden.

The hotel has a really great location and the room was oriented to the street but it wasn’t too loud. It is 10 minutes walk from city Center with multiple tram lines stopping just right in front of the hotel. I really liked the comfy bed and the floor heating in the bathroom. There was a big window and furniture of bright colour what made the room feel very bright. Breakfast was nice as well with plenty of choice and fast service.

The room itself was nice but it was lacking bit of personal touch and it wasn’t very spacious. We stayed for 3 nights and there was nowhere to unpack the suitcase as there were only few hangers in the wall instead of a wardrobe.

1. The hotel is well connected to the city center (two tram stops 10m and 50m away) as well as to outside/outdoor destinations e.g. Saxonian Switzerland (train station "Dresden Neustadt" is 7min by foot). 2. I was worried that being close to the road, tram line and facing the railways (incl. many cargo trains) the room will be noisy, but this was NOT the case -- the sound isolation is quite good! 3. The room is modern, with almost all what you will need inside. The breakfast is great in quality and they are also prepared if you have dietary restrictions. 4. The bathroom, in particular the shower, is separated from the room by the mated glass :-) You may enjoy it or hate it, but I made my choice ;-)

I cannot say that I didn't like something strongly. However I'd like to mention the following small inconveniences. 1. I felt that there is not enough space to hang/store/sort the dress esp. if you are 2 persons in the room 2. In the shower a small shelve for bath accessories is missing 3. No fridge (one evening we wanted to cool white wine + some little food) 4. The mattresses are relatively soft and the two halves of the bed could be better fixed to each other.

Very kind personnel in reception and restaurant. Location of hotel is a bit out of city center, but it's not far and you can even walk to city center. good connection by public transport. Wide selection on breakfasts!

The only minus was relatively small parking in the back of hotel, therefore might be situation when there is no free place where to park if hotel is fully booked. In our case we found the last free place. Parking is as extra cost.

Hotel rooms are new and clean, however small. This was not a problem as we were exploring the city and did not spent much time inside. There is a small bar at the reception,. Breakfast was included, plenty of choise. Staff was re-filling when needed. The hotel is located next to a tram line, or you can reach the city center in +/- 25 minutes walking (a small park / next to the river Elbe). Good Wifi in the roomds / public area.

Very limited number of parking spaces (19 eur per night). Crowdy during breakfast (the 'peak hoours' are however mentioned via a traffic light system)

Although the hotel is located on a busy street (cars, trams, train across the road), the sound isolation is quite good and we didn't hear any traffic at all. Walk-able distance from city centre (or you can take a tram - the station is right around the corner). Our room was very clean and comfortable. Good breakfast.

We felt like there was a lack of staff members at the time of our visit - when we arrived there were 3 counters on the reception but only one person behind the counter and the was quite a line of people who were waiting for a check-in.

Newer building, the location is convenient, 5 minutes walking from a local train station, four tram lines going literally in front of the hotel, lot of restaurants within five minutes of walking. The rooms have very spacious bathroom, great water pressure. Despite staying so close to the train tracks I didn’t hear a thing. Staff was helpful.

The breakfast was good, definitely cannot complain, just some reviews here make it seem like it is an exceptionally good breakfast. It isn’t, it is ‘just’ good. The toilet and shower are not separated by a door despite having space for it, organising the morning was then a bit tricky.

Breakfast was totally okay. Nothing fancy and I missed personalized egg dishes like sunny-side-ups etc. especially because the pre-cooked scrambled eggs were terribly dry but otherwise it was okay. Personnel at breakfast made sure that everything was going smoothly even when the breakfast room was competely full. Location is excellent, it's a max. 10minute walk from the very center of the city. Staff was very polite and kind.

I cannot recall when was the last time I had not been provided a free bottle of water every day in a hotel, so even though it might not be a standard thing, it was disappoinging. Again, not beacuse I had to pay for it, but it's quite a cheap solution... Also, the parking is an absolute scam. During our stay we had to pay 10EUR per night even though there were many many other options nearby for 6EUR per night (like Semperoper underground garage) not mentioning that you do not have to pay for parking even in the streets during weekends... Having to walk in muddy uncovered parking places for 10EUR per day is ridiculous.

It was a really good hotel. Location was great with only 10 minutes by Tram to city center. The hotel has two exits which allow to access different tram routs easily. The room was spacious enough, it was cleaned daily and was really bright - had lot of natural sunlight coming in. Wifi was great we were able to work from hotel with no problem. Breakfast had various choises, it was somehow boring by the end of day 5 but it was still good. We arrived at the hotel at 6am but the staff wasn't able to give us that early of a check in however they checked us in aroudn 11am. We were able to leave our bags before checking and after checkout at hotel reception. THe hotel had parking (we didn't use it) Would come back!

We got twin beds however we had double room booked - but it wasn't really a problem we just pushed them together.

Check in was quick and efficient. Room was great, a little noise from the trams outside but not noticeable. Great transport links and a short walk from Neustadt with lots of places to eat and drink. The city centre is a short walk or tram ride away and it was perfect for the music event I was attending (15 minutes walk away). Breakfast was great, lots of choice, allow plenty of time.

The room was a little too cool temperature wise for the time of year for sleep, an optional blanket might have cured that and I'm sure I could have tried to adjust it via the control to suit better.
