Hôtel & Spa Les Sept Fontaines Best Western Premier

Modern hotel with comfortable room, good shower, welcoming lounges and terrace, on which dinner was served, great breakfast, no doubt the spa was good if it was at same standard (I didn’t have time to use it), nice village to saunter around. Private parking. Staff were very helpful.

Nothing to do with the hotel but Google Maps really made a mess of finding it. Just drive into Tournus from the A6 and it’s on your right just after some traffic lights opposite another hotel on the left.

The hotel was a great stopover on the way back from the alps. The rooms were spacious and extremely clean. Restaurant was fantastic though make sure you book in advance. We were lucky to get a cancellation.

Check in at 4pm seemed a little late. Even after 4pm the room still wasn’t ready. We were told we could have a drink in the courtyard and someone would be out to take our order. Unfortunately that person never appeared. Keep in mind the hotel doesn’t serve food after 1.30pm until the restaurant opens for dinner

we stayed in different hotels in tournus and this is the best one so far.

however, there are two major downsides: 1. when booking via booking.com one has no free access to the spa (40€ p.p.), but direct booking has 2. everything has to be fixed in advanced, esp. when high occupancy. in our case, we had to specify time & dates of spa as well as breakfast. when travelling for leisure that‘s not the style one expects

Breakfast was amazing, hotel was beautiful. Food enearlly top class. Most comfy bed I've slept in, great showers. Only downside was that the pool wasn't included in the price.

Just that the pool wasn't included in the price and the cost to add it was crazy over the top like 30euro per adult and 15 per child. If you are a guest in the hotel the pool should always be included. Was very disappointed that this wasn't clear on Booking.com

Breakfast is good all though a little pricey. The restaurant is excellent, with original combinations of flavours, beautifully presented and wonderful tastes. The hotel is exceptionally clean, inside and out.

The wifi code in the bedrooms doesn't always work. We've had to go down to reception to sort it out on two out of our three stays at the hotel so far. It isn't a big problem but we use the hotel for business travel and often need to work before we can relax.

The staff are very friendly, it is a smart but not stuffy hotel, the room was very spacious and they cater very well for dogs.

The shower needed a glass partition to stop water going all over the bathroom.

the hotel is modern, very comfortable and nicely decorated.

we arrived at the hotel at 6:30 pm. I asked the receptionist to reserve a table for dinner. to my surprise, she told me that it was not possible. they were fully booked. In a 4 star hotel with so many space outside, in the terrace, and inside I don’t accept this answer. for this reason I give it 8 and not 10!

The rooms are very comfortable and they are pet friendly. They also have a large surveyed indoor parking place.The location is ideal, very close to the A6 and there are plenty of restaurants in town. I have never used the Hotel Spa but I understand it’s very complete.

The breakfast is not up to the Hotel standards.

lovely hotel, the best 4 star hotel we have stayed at for the price. rooms are comfortable and well designed, staff are friendly, nice restaurant. the breakfast is basic but adequate.

the pool hours for the kids is only an hour (as I recall) in the morning. more flexible times would have been appreciated!

Perfect location with very easy access from the autoroute and within only a short walk to the abbey and old town. The hotel itself has been recently renovated and the decoration is modern and very tasteful, but not stark or impersonal. Because ofCovid restrictions we did not have the opportunity to use the facilities, such as the pool. Perhaps on a future visit, as we shall certainly return - it is an ideal stop on the way north or south. Although the restaurant menu was restricted, there was something for everyone, vegetarians included. The food was beautifully presented, well thought out and delicious. Breakfast was very good too, although once again, because of COVID, there weren’t any hot options. Facilities for seminars and group meetings looked to be very well organised. We shall be stopping there again at the end of the week!

Just a small point - the (somewhat complicated) coffee machine at breakfast caused queues, although help was at hand.
